  1. Essex County Friends of the NRA dinner Thursday 9/15/2011. Do not miss this event. Last year we broke all the records raising money for the shooting sports in NJ. This year we expect to sell out. Do not miss the chance to attend. Please look at our different levels of sponsorship. Last year the Captains tickets were 7 -1 odds to win a firearm (or an item of equal value). If you cannot attend please consider advertising in our program or being a sponsor. This will be over 500 like minded people in one room only six weeks before the NJ elections. Please show your support for the NRA foundation. 16 Guns on the block and over $25,000 in prizes! I am donating another AR this year also. The money raised is used to promote the shooting sports in New Jersey. http://www.gunforhire.com/fnra.html#.TjrFenO4I18 Thank You Anthony

  7. I might have been there once or twice. LOL Great place, great people.
  8. Hello Matt, Would love to have you on the board, we really could use some young blood. In order to attend the meetings I believe you must notify the corresponding secretary. I cannot speak for SB's management style. But just try to delegate from one volunteer to another, etc. I cannot speak about the RO hours that is a function of the Range Trustees. As treasurer I am involved in the overall finances not the day to day operating expenditures of the range that is decided by the trustees. The decision was made to create the position during executive session and I cannot comment. Anthony
  9. Thank you! As I await the oncoming slaughter! LOL
  10. I think you guy's should start coming to meetings and volunteering your time and see how it really works. You will also see how hard we break our asses behind the scenes. FYI we fought off OGAM for 5 years and because of a last minute reversal by a politician who made a deal with Corzine we lost! I can count on one hand the people on this thread that show up for the yearly meetings, board meetings, and work weekends. I was contemplating running for President and after a year of watching what SB dealt with as a volunteer I was smart enough to run away! At least 70 - 90 hrs per week of legislative, legal, and ANJRPC corp stuff on top on managing the range, range officers, and an all volunteer support staff. This does not include all the petty BS that goes with the job! Imagine 40 people directly reporting to you! Most state organizations do not have a range and they all have some sort of paid staff that is in align with what Scott is being paid. As an NRA Board member SB has also opened the door to us with the CRLDF where we receive hundred's of thousands of dollars per year to fight cases like OGAM and the RTK and the Port Authority case. I volunteer my very precious time because I bleed the 2A and I am not moving out of NJ! I hope to see you all get involved. God know's we could use the help. Anthony
  11. Please contact Frank F the president of NJ2AS we are looking for cases like yours for the 2A cause. http://www.nj2as.com/
  12. Everyone I know that purchased one sold it in disgust. Mossberg makes shotguns! LOL
  13. Hello, My instructors will take care of you, I may be there that day. Thank you for the support.
  14. Paul, I am with you 100% but we live in a police State with arbitrary gun laws that are designed to entrap law abiding citizens so it is always better to be extra cautious. If everyone was to get off there a** and become as active as they should be NJ might be in a different position. When you were on the job and you discovered a knife on someone you could make the decision how to or how not to charge based on the persons attitude, etc. This is a police State and until the masses wake up mobilize we are screwed.
  15. Welcome and my condolences. Please make sure you have those firearms checked out by a competent gunsmith before you use them. Anthony
  16. Oh I agree with you there must be more details and we shall see. Gotta love NJ!
  17. We should support Van Drew. I do not believe in a fee system like he proposed but at the NJ2AS meeting he stated that he had to add a $$$ component to even give the bill a chance.
  18. Evan Nappen had a case that he will discuss in an upcoming GFH Radio show. Because the magazine is considered part of the gun a loaded one with no gun present can be construed as a loaded gun! Ah NJ. He advises that magazines should be kept empty when transporting for added legal protection. Believe it or not it Is not the same for speed loaders or speed strips because they are not part of the gun. We advise ALL of our students as an added measure to keep mags empty when transporting based on Nappens input.
  19. Had Frank in the studio Friday, we will announce the episode he will be on asap.
