  1. Thanks for your reply and yes I did read it. You might be missing my point regarding "good and evil" and the intent there of. My point is intent, content of character and selfish or selfless ambition. For example, shades of grey are what have gotten our country into this predicament. When there is no basis for truth and lots of grey areas then truth is at the discretion of those in power...in reality, truth can not be twisted or perverted to suit the needs of those in charge. One look through history and there is a definite pattern and directive that leads to destruction when "truth" is interpreted through a "gut" feeling. For example, there's no sexual orientation declared by media and government yet they continue to use sexual orientation as a divide. Where did this concept come from?? From absolute truth or from a government and media hell bent on dividing us? It's clear there's "man and woman" yet they change it to something completely different. Why? See, unless truth is observed and sought after ,society can be changed or molded "closer to THEIR heart's desires". (Fabian socialists). Unless you read the founders intentions, federalist papers and their beliefs "grey areas" do only one thing---cast doubt. When doubt is cast and society believes it then it's easy for a corrupt power (government) and media to control and dictate the masses of people to believe a lie. When a lie is believed then dividing the masses becomes easier and that's what seems we are experiencing. Which brings me back to two groups we need to be concerned with "good and evil"....if you do not understand evil and their intentions you will never experience "good".
  2. I hate radicals that want to steal my freedom and my money...I despise dishonest people that lie, cheat and steal for their selfish gain. I despise and ideology of evil that's predisposed to a disingenuous outcome.I don't care what the color of your skin is all I care about is how I classify and box people into two groups---Good and Evil! That's it and it's that simple. If your intent is evil I will be against you---if your ideology is against freedom, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, I will be your foe. Our government and media figure the smaller the box they put us in, the easier it is to pit us against each other...I refuse to to be used by their tacts. Two groups only matter---good and evil---if you're on the side of evil, I WILL NOT tolerate you!
  3. As the U.S. House convened for the first time since last month's sit-in to demand votes on gun legislation, four dozen House Democrats spoke on the floor about gun violence. The speakers' list on Tuesday included Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-12th Dist.), who helped organize the protest, and Donald Payne Jr. (D-10th Dist.). On Wednesday, House Democrats joined gun control advocates at a press conference at the Capitol and another dozen lawmakers spoke on the topic on the House floor. The House this week is scheduled to vote on legislation that would give U.S. law enforcement authorities 72 hours to investigate a suspected terrorist who wants to buy a gun before either allowing the sale to go though or go to court to block it. That provision, backed by the National Rifle Association, died in the Senate last month along with Democratic-supported bills to ban those on the terrorist watch list from buying weapons and requiring background checks for everyone buying a gun, including purchasers at gun shows and over the Internet. http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2016/07/watch_njs_payne_helps_continue_democratic_fight_fo.html#incart_river_home
  4. NH and FL gives you a lot of states. Looking forward to the "Jersey boys" carrying in PA once again.
  5. Yes, I do have a PA LTCF and a FL/UT CCW---because that's the law right NOW. I discuss with friends, family and politicians the need to rid of silly carry regulations, point out how "Constitutional carry" states have lower crime and so forth. However, you all just bash the gun owner, even if you disagree with the law. Let people know these laws are stupid---know the facts and figures. I see your point regarding permits...but all I'm asking, according to the 2A, did he do anything illegal? No!!! It's clear he did not. Now with that being said, was it stupid of him---yes. Did he know he was breaking the law---I can guarantee he knew. But the point is, how long are far are we willing to let this go before we say "if we didn't have these crazy laws on an inalienable right, he would be fine". If he were in PA what would be the outcome of this story---nothing! If he were in AR---nothing. Probably over 40 or so states this guy would have been WELL within his legal bounds. But for some reason, people from NJ continue to sit here and bash the gun owner...where he had broken no other law otherwise. Then you wonder why NJ is so anti-gun???? You guys are your own worst enemy. I used to live in NJ---for 30+ years and the gun culture is this way because someone that breaks one of the most silly laws, you all get up on this site or preach to "non gun owners" that this guy or that person was stupid for having a loaded BB-gun in a car. Or so and so was dumb for having a loaded magazine in his car. You all need to start making the case that NJ has such stupid laws and stop bashing the gun owner for simply exercising his right. on the other hand,Shooting someone out of ignorance, pointing a gun at someone or doing something dangerous is something WORTH arguing about and then talking about responsible gun ownership.... But to simply get on gun owner after gun owner for simply having a gun in a car while passing through or stopping for gas does not help your/our cause. Until you stop making excuses for crazy gun laws, you'll never flip NJ. maybe the argument should be---if this happened in PA, WV or even DE, would it have been an issue? The answer in "NO"! Then why should it make a difference in NJ...NY? Other than some left leaning nutcake making stupid laws, you guys are giving "ammo" to the anti's and bashing the gun owner makes it seem these radical laws are justified. BTW, I'm not making this guy the "poster child" for gun laws--- I know better than to go through or in NJ/NY with any firearm. But the question begs, why? I have gone to NJ gun rallies, I've written your politicians and tried helping any way I could. However, it seems that you all want to make gun ownership legal but only in the confines of the "crazy" state laws. It's not done that way---step out of the box. Fight for the gun owner that's being oppressed by these harsh laws. I often wonder how I can sit at Washington's crossing in PA open carrying my .40 M&P yet realize I would be tackled and arrested if i were 100 yards across the river---it could happen. A wrong turn, detoured traffic, etc. At that point would you bash the "stupid" gun owner or point out the flawed, oppressive NJ laws that put me in prison for 10+ years? Anyway, we need to be in this fight together and I'm on your side...I'm just trying to make a point. Take care---
  6. No, the point is, according to the Constitution---did he do anything wrong? No! We have bought into laws that bypass inalienable rights----these rights shall not be infringed or altered. One can not simply make a law to bypass a God given or actual, written "in stone" right. Just like the 4th and 5th amendments have been unconstitutionally altered as well. My point is, we have bought into the narrative and we need to change it....now! It's at the point where it's illegal to own a BB-gun in NJ without a FID card. Seriously, how did it get this bad? We have been complacent and bought into the narrative of the media and our government. That's all I'm saying---according to the law of the land (Constitution) this guy did no wrong. He wasn't a criminal until someone in this state simply deemed he was....we need to reverse these illegal laws and until we start calling out how ridiculous these laws are and reversing them, then we're the problem. It's an inalienable right----period!
  7. So, you believe we need 4000 plus gun laws? Do you believe inalienable rights should be curtailed by laws? If so, what about seizure laws? Free speech laws? By your logic, someone is stupid to drive through NJ with expandable ammo...gets pulled over, cop uses some BS excuse to search the car and now hi box of self defense ammo lands him in jail with a $10,000 fine. Is that the product of the honest person's stupidity or Unconstitutional law? What I', trying to say, and I'm probably not explaining it very well, is there come's a point when we have to realize that our 2A rights have been pushed beyond what is "reasonable" and is Unconstitutional. The more we think out of the box realizing why the founders put the 2A and self defense clauses in the states the more we realize we're getting ripped...illegally. It is Unconstitutional to bypass or circumvent the Bill of rights with laws. At some point, you'll be the victim of new laws on the books and you'll think these laws are unconstitutional and illegal, but others will believe they're valid. We need to stop thinking the 2A is your right to own a gun but with 1000's of restrictions that can land you in jail for the simplest offense. We need to start working backwards and taking back what these progressives have taken over the past 100 years. Think about it---60 years ago this would not [even] be an issue and we had fewer "pro-gun" citizens then than we do now. So why is it an issue now? Propaganda, laws and freedom chipped away. It's time to reverse this---
  8. I tried looking for the warrant---what warrant did he have against him?
  9. You've (we've) compromised to the point where regardless, the gun owner is at fault. The "Bill of Rights" can not be handcuffed by laws that bypass it--these are basic rights that are not up to negotiation or alterable--until we stand up and make it clear that these laws are unconstitutional and we have a right (actual written right) to defend ourselves how we see fit, we'll never win this argument. If I want to drive around with 50 guns but harm no one how is that a crime? Why do we accept it as such? Because some marxists/progressives that hates guns says so? We have to get back what we lost since 1934.... Did that answer what you were asking? maybe this depiction will help: http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/2013/11/08/cake-and-compromise-illustrated-guide-to-gun-control/
  10. Hence, this is how they'll continue with their confiscation plans and gun owners in complete agreement.Little by little we become accustomed to Illegal and unconstitutional laws where gun owners blame gun owners instead of illegal laws. We'll have enough "crazy" laws where we'll be divided to the point of no return. Heck, someday you'll be added to the "terrorist watch list" and gun owners not on the list clinging to their .22 LR and .410's will call them crazy nuts deserving no due process. Little by little they divide us.
  11. I think you'll find most answers to this question and others on this site---however, here's the direct link to your question with footnotes, etc: http://www.gunfacts.info/gun-control-myths/guns-and-crime-prevention/
  12. I thought Maine was Constitutional carry (Concealed/Open). The only reason for the permit was certain state parks---correct? http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/maine.pdf
  13. I agree, I'm trying to figure out why you're all arguing "fine points" when all Newtonian is stating is "this is what we have to work with...get to it".I'm not a fan of Christie, but in my 35 years as a NJ citizen, he's the only one remotely close to supporting the 2A....not a lot, but at least workable. At least it's something, but there's a lot of work to be done. Heck, you have a more conservative Gov in NJ than we do in PA. However, you're NOT going to change laws because you've changed a few seats and even a governor. You MUST (MUST!!!!) change the hearts and minds of the people. I've said it a million times, if each gun owner took 3-4 people to the range in 1 year, you could possibly quadruple "pro-gun" citizens---one year! This is the fastest and probably best way to change the state. It's estimated PA has 40% (plus) gun ownership and the politicians are pressured to support this "right". Heck, there's even numerous "pro-gun" Democrats, because it's a heritage and part of life. Believe me, changing the citizens to support guns will go much, much further than flipping a few seats. I see this BS on gun forum sites with people posting and arguing instead of actually doing something. Get people out to the range then talk to them about why guns are important, know the statistics and evangelize on the "whys, hows and whats" of gun ownership. Please...we're ALL running out of time and if one state falls, they all eventually fall. Get to work!
  14. I should have made my self clear and spoke in generalities and not directed at you---I do apologize. But I fear that , we the people, to one extent or another, feel our government is on our side. That's simply not true---they (most, not all) care about their gain and not ours. If they're ruthless enough to screw over friends, colleagues and family what makes us think they give a crap about us---someone they don't even know. Somehow, we need to find a way to take our country back, state by state but more importantly we need to change the hearts and minds of the populace that government is NOT their god. Start local, get involved, this is so important. Talk to people while waiting in lines or when you're out. Take people to the range and reach out to your local communities helping and teaching that "we the people" are-and run the country and not the government. It's now or never--we are sinking fast and need to act in one accord to repair the ship and get it back in the right direction.
  15. Not to be harsh, but when will you realize they don't care about us or the Constitution or freedom and liberty. They care about their progressive dream end goal of molding the world closer to their desires....not ours. They are NOT public servants, but tyrannical leaders that need to protect their wealth and power. Once you realize that we are their real enemies, you'll realize how dire the circumstance has become.
  16. Plus room and board, plus food, plus books---college is the next bubble to burst. BTW, when we went out to dinner down there, our waitress was in her senior year for criminal investigation and was working in Richmond on weekends as intern...
  17. It's a HUGE school and I'm pretty sure they'll have what you're looking for---However, apply for scholarships now, it ain't a cheap school.
  18. My son goes there and it's great when we visit him and I carry the entire time while on/off campus. They [even] have free conceal carry courses and encourage being LEGALLY armed.
  19. I learned in a Cessna 152...it was cheap and easy to fly. Moved onto a 172 when I started with my IFR then continued in a Cherokee 140. Even though it was slower than the 172 I found it easier to fly and check list required less climbing. @1LTcap, regarding the check ride---I took mine literally a week after John Kennedy died in the plane crash. The FAA teacher said he was going to be extra hard on me because he knew I had kids, a wife and liked to fly at night. It was no problem at all and maybe he just said that but I did pull off my best ever landing---I didn't even know that both wheels fully "touched" until a split second after.
  20. When I learned to fly in the late 1990's is was $65-$105 (depending on plane type) an hour which included the plane, fuel and instructor.
  21. My cousin is an aviation lawyer and said in 3-5 years there will be an extreme shortage of pilots. He said if I asked him 5 years ago he would have told my son to pick another field. However, it ain't cheap to become a pilot---many airlines want the full college degree with aviation school attached to the stigma. $50K to $75K per year!
  22. ...after your life has been threatened multiple times because you're rich enough to have a boat.
  23. I moved there 4 years ago and plan to NEVER move back...let me know if you have any questions.
  24. I used to have a Cherokee140 with a 160 HP overhaul. I stopped flying in 2001. However, my son is going to aviation school to be a pilot...I miss it but it was too expensive once my partner passed away.
