  1. Couldn't tell without seeing the bolt side. Still looking sweet.
  2. Beautiful paint job. Is that the 308 SASS? Definitely diggin it!
  3. You see the button in the front. Press that bad boy down and twist the front sight post.
  4. Good placement on the optic. 50 yards is a good zero. Your impact points will be within an inch to inch and 1/2 at 50 yards and 200 yards with a 55 grain bullet. Here is a good article showing the charts with a 50 yard zero... http://www.thebangswitch.com/the-50-yard-zero-for-5-56mm/
  5. Were these guns obtained legally? You have some serious questions being asked in your two Open Posts Twat Llama... Am I pronouncing your screen name properly?
  6. More food for thought... Here are some good photos showing the Mod 0 Compensator is actually a compensator. You can clearly see the inside is not open like the A2 birdcage design. The first pic is the PWS FSC. You can see the last ring are both the same diameter of the round exiting the Comp.
  7. The law is VERY clear about carrying in NJ. 2C:39-5 Unlawful Possession of Weapons Handguns require a PERMIT TO CARRY. Rifles require a FPID to carry unloaded. Rifles loaded in possession you are guilty of a crime. b.Handguns. Any person who knowingly has in his possession any handgun, including any antique handgun without first having obtained a permit to carry the same as provided in N.J.S.2C:58-4, is guilty of a crime of the third degree. c.Rifles and shotguns. (1) Any person who knowingly has in his possession any rifle or shotgun without having first obtained a firearms purchaser identification card in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.2C:58-3, is guilty of a crime of the third degree. (2)Unless otherwise permitted by law, any person who knowingly has in his possession any loaded rifle or shotgun is guilty of a crime of the third degree. e.Firearms or other weapons in educational institutions. (1)Any person who knowingly has in his possession any firearm in or upon any part of the buildings or grounds of any school, college, university or other educational institution, without the written authorization of the governing officer of the institution, is guilty of a crime of the third degree, irrespective of whether he possesses a valid permit to carry the firearm or a valid firearms purchaser identification card. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Someone who is in the process of moving into the state is protected by the FOPA (Firearms Owners Protection Act) 18 US Code 926A. 2C:39-6 f.Nothing in subsections b., c. and d. of N.J.S.2C:39-5 shall be construed to prevent: (2)A person carrying a firearm or knife in the woods or fields or upon the waters of this State for the purpose of hunting, target practice or fishing, provided that the firearm or knife is legal and appropriate for hunting or fishing purposes in this State and he has in his possession a valid hunting license, or, with respect to fresh water fishing, a valid fishing license; Stupid phone... FPID, I'm sure you all got that one...
  8. According to NJ statute 2C:39-5c as long as you have a NJ FIS card, yes you are. N.J.S.2C:39-5 c. Rifles and shotguns. (1) Any person who knowingly has in his possession any rifle or shotgun without having first obtained a firearms purchaser identification card in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.2C:58-3, is guilty of a crime of the third degree.
  9. I'm not quite sure you read the article. He was stepping over a fallen tree and landed on the mama bear. The mom protecting it's 4 cubs bit his BOOT and he severely wounded the bear by shooting it twice. He claimed the bear wouldn't let go of his boot. So obviously it wasn't a muzzle loader if he got 2 shots off before it let go. Wildlife officers found and put the bear down. The bear crushed and killed 2 cubs while being shot. Sad story. He must have some great situational awareness to hop off a fallen tree onto an adult bear.
  10. Its going to take a few jabs to get the metal to move, but it will work.
  11. A lot of it is preference, however you most likely are going to be above the mag right before the rail meets the upper receiver.
  12. What do you think of the diamond shape opposed to the standard circle?
  13. Nice build Mike, good job. That rail and compensator look saweet! Congrats.
  14. Didn't get that one either... Maybe posting from a bar stool?
  15. Can you post a pic of what you were left with?
  16. MidwestPX's site... http://midwestpx.com/index.php?cPath=15_136_72 PK90's... http://www.colddeadhands.com/accessories.html
  17. I completely agree with you! You get the wrong person looking your rifle in a scrutinizing way and you are in trouble "until you can prove you are innocent"...
  18. Judging by this picture I would say it's legal. There seems to be no flash "hiding" here. While it does "look" similar to the outside of an A2 hider, it is clearly not functional like one would at all.
  19. I think I may stick some electrical tape on a rear site in the shape of a diamond to see how it feels. I keep going back and forth between the two. Does anyone know if it will fit under a 1-4 30mm mounted in the Burris PEPR?
  20. Yeah, I've been torn between the two. I've always down the standard troys. I recently saw the diamond ones and the hype troy was putting behind them was pulling me in.
  21. Just as the title says... Does anyone use them? I know Troy makes some very highly regarded equipment. I'm sure they are worth their price. I just wanted some opinions or any alternate rear folding sites.
  22. It is true. They purchased a nice size portion of the Fort Monmouth base. It will take some time to get up in running. They are in the process of getting the Utilities brought into the base. It basically had it's own power grid and utility processing when it was still in use.
  23. Take a look at their Sling Mount Kit: http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG333/shotgun. You can pair that with Midwest Industries recessed button swivel (or anyone's QD Swivel mount) and will have a pretty nice sling mount. Do you offer the Buffer Tube Kit from BCM or Spike's? If you can get your hands on an Ergo grip check it out. It is one beautiful grip. It feels like a huge rubbery eraser in the hand. Wet or dry, gloves or bare hands, it is sweet.
  24. Before 1995 firearms where not plugged or block when deactivated from service. After 95 they would have been plugged or actions removed and altered by a gunsmith so you would need specialized tools to make the firearm operational again. Deactivation work carried has been carried out by the UK military since 1989. It will generally be endorsed by a Proof House. The weapon will be proof marked and issued with a deactivation certificate.
