chad barrels down on a double becouse any oil in barrels ,action or frame will by gravity go down hill old doubles allowed oil to seep into butt stock thats why when you inspect an old double such as lc smith baker crescent you look at the rear of the side plates for cracks and or oil with enough oil in the wood the locks dont work screws pull out then you usualy have to replace the wood and expect to pay $500 -1200 for goodwork

Im not that familiar with this model but shotgunworld forum has a section called I love my----- lanber has its own section.lamber has a loyal following .Ive heard they are huge in europe and england if i was looking for an affordable o/u id certainly look at spanish makers like lanber and not at turkey.some people have bad things to say about spanish guns but look at some of the makers the guns sell for a fortune

its not what type of 00 I like its what type does your gun like you have to pattern several brands thru at least two chokes my primary 870 12 ga with lenghthened forceing cone likes federal 00 thru a mod choke .with a full choke groups opened up
