It wasn’t just NJ..Md and De were like this too. I suspect they were anticipating the temperature to stay a bit warmer, and the precipitation to turn to rain sooner than it did. Took me over 5 hours to get from Baltimore to Cherry Hill, which normally takes 2-ish hours. I didn’t see a plow or salt truck in Md until it was VERY apparent that it wasn’t changing over to rain when they expected it to.

Took me 5.5 hours to get back from Baltimore. Normally a 2 hour drive for me. At least 20 accidents along the way. People gotta learn to slow down!!

My dad knew him. He was a riverboat pilot for the company my dad worked for at the time, before he made it in the music business.

I concur....PLEASE change your smoke detector batteries every 6 months, and if you don’t have a fire extinguisher on EVERY floor of your house, plus the kitchen, GET ONE! Earlier this year I put out a fire at my neighbors house..they didn’t have WORKING smoke detectors, or fire extinguishers. They DO now. So should you.
