  1. I would like to see it.. any additional ideas are always useful..
  2. 2 things... 1) A negative hit on an online account is a much easier thing to deal with when compared to any of the numerous things that could go wrong in a gun transaction.. I have purchased things from people online who all turned out to be great people... I recently bought a hunk of ammo from someone tried to meet in public but he only wanted to meet at his house.. but in talking to him I had a good feeling.. turned out to be right and he turned out to be a really nice guy.. someone I would vouch for.. but if that gut feeling had been bad I would have acted on it and insisted an in person meeting.. 2) just be honest.. tell him that you really only feel comfortable meeting somewhere in public... be polite tell him you are not questioning him.. you just feel more comfortable meeting in public.. I have transferred ownership discretely at a rest stop.. right out in the open.. I would think if anyone happened to notice the openness of it would likely make them assume it is nothing illegal.. for a gun I would probably only meet in public.. range is a great suggestion.. if he is an honest legitimate seller he will agree.. if he is some scumbag thug looking to rob you he will likely disagree.. good luck.. let us know how it all goes..
  3. I would run a regular gun belt with that.. looks like it is high enough to be up and out of the way.. I really like that rig the more and more I look at it.. bid on a load bearing vest on ebay with MOLLE attachments.. but if that falls through I am jumping on what you posted..
  4. I will personally hold out until I can do a real deal Saiga 12 conversion.. and until then mossberg pump it is!
  5. thanks guys for all the great help! it is really appreciated!
  6. I am a buy it once and be done with it kind of guy.. I do not like gear failure.. So I will likely dump a little bit of money into it..
  7. I like that.. mount it to a vest with MOLLE attachment points? does the vest matter? decent inexpensive vest?
  8. I thought it was a Saiga in 410 at first..
  9. that is because they were using my chart! lol
  10. thanks you just made me feel less nuts.. lol.. when you say hook to belt? I have given up on finding anything that will go on a belt.. I have been looking more into like full front chest rigs.. nothing too heavy or bulky.. but just something that will easily hold 4-6 mags.. if you get anywhere with this be sure to post back up! lol
  11. I used to previously shoot mostly from a bench.. but lately I have been shooting more *quick few shots.. quick few shots.. magazine change.. shoot shoot.. mag change..* type shooting.. I am not shooting any kind of competitions or anything just trying to get better at shooting while moving (unknown distances) and changing magazines.. so that leads me to this question.. I mostly shoot a Saiga with 15 round surefire mags.. this is the gun I do the most shoot and move with.. what kind of rig can I get that will allow me to hold spare mags.. I have a fobus holster for extra glock mags.. and the moving shooting thing works well with that.. but I simply lack any means to carry rifle mags.. want to look into a rig that isn't going to just fall apart.. but don't want to exactly break the bank either.. what are some good brands.. good deals.. etc.. I am assuming I may have to modify the pouches to hold the mags correctly since they are an odd size.. thanks in advance for any info..
  12. you need the stock? Arms and Ammo sells the masterpiece arms version... looks very similar.. don't know which models you can have and which you can't.. you would have to check with Paul..
  13. the rush in buy and investigate later is not a good philosophy when it comes to firearms.. as far as not having anyone? now you have a room full of people more than willing to help.. while our opinions may vary most of us are here to help and will only offer the best advise as we see it.. so ask questions.. read up.. and buy once from now on..
  14. I do not generally buy from chain stores either.. with that said... +1 for a great seller! LOL
  15. my personal experience as a user is non-existent as I have never personally used the product.. but generally speaking I have seen their products reviewed in a pretty poor light.. I have handled one scope and it felt similar in quality to "chinese airsoft goods".. not a product I would bet my life on.. but maybe worth trying as an inexpensive optic for a low recoil weapon? I generally buy quality when it comes to optics, because if its not holding zero you are just wasting time and money... to be blunt I purchased a used Leupold scope for a little more than what you paid for that.. and while it doesnt have any fancy lasers it has held zero on my AR chambered in 308, that is an optic I would bet my life on..
  16. careful.. they did use the wording similar.. LOL
  17. this advice should be taken.. my order is 2 weeks out.. but hey to save %30.. it is well worth it.. thanks again for the info!
  18. That's funny.. I don't see "AR15" anywhere on the list.. wonder where they came up with that.. articles like this do exactly what they are meant to do.. and that is make normal every day people think that people like us are crazy.. the media's job is not to inform.. it is instead to sell.. make money.. and be as over the top as possible while doing it..
  19. I would honestly follow the advise here.. I have had great luck with talking to the NJSP firearms division.. they have (for whatever reason) always been really cool and helpful.. while I understand you may want something in writing.. the state police may even just call the department and explain the correct procedure to them?
  20. you need to finish it and wrap the end of the muzzle with some barbed wire.. and it most certainly needs a bayonet.. Thunderdome style.. lol
