its a triangle reticle with a low picatinny mount... I think it is an American Defense mount... but I need to check.. quick release.. can sell at any time..

I had two of them and had no problem with it.. I switched to a MRO.. so now I only have one.. I will be getting rid of that one as well for a MRO.. not over quality I just prefer the green reticle..

I run a Delta Point on my 9mm AK pistol with the triangle.. I like it and my wife likes it.. zeroed for the upper point of the triangle to be the impact point.. what this gives me is precise aiming on the tip of the triangle.. or fast center mass by just covering the target with the triangle..

cheap does not have to equal bad.. I think its all about what you are looking to get out of it..

its just funny because messing around with it.. blowing air through it.. and all that.. I was SURE it was lined up... and it was at least partially lined up.. since air was getting through.. but once I had it fully lined up... problem solved... when you are dealing with holes that small.. being off even a little bit is going to add restriction.. and that restriction can be the difference between function no function..

there are lots of cheap ARs out there now.. as Johnny said.. budget builds...

I had a problem similar to this once.. and I used a very similar way to line up the gas block.. guess what.. it was misaligned.. I came up with a really ghetto way to line up the gas block.. it works perfectly 100% of the time.. but you have to be careful.. take a piece of soft solder that fits in the gas port.. cut it flush with the barrel.. turn the barrel over so it falls out.. and measure it.. this will be important later.. put it back in with the gun right side up.. slide on the gas block.. turn the gun upside down again... move the gas block around until the solder drops into the gas block which will lock it up.. at this point you know the block is aligned... pin or tighten it down.. however it is.. now take a cleaning rod and GENTLY bend the solder that is in the barrel.. this will allow it to fall into the barrel... and fall out.. once it is out measure it again and make sure you recovered all of the solder.. It sounds complicated but in practice it's not.. and it works 100%..

Agree with this completely I don't have a pistol brace because I care about paying the $200.. I have a pistol brace because filing NFA paperwork is annoying.. and additionally.. keeping something like my Scorpion as a pistol has other added benefits over NFA.. I can bring it to any state that honors my carry permit.. and keep it loaded in the vehicle like a pistol.. technically I can do the same in PA with a SBR.. but a pistol with a brace is less of a gray area..

you hit the nail on the head.. will there be further restriction? may you not be able to SBR one day? sure.. all possible.. will they take SBRs on a federal level? unlikely... so moving to a more regulated category IMO at least.. moves the gun out of the "look at what everyone is doing" category..

I know its not an option in NJ.. but I am seriously considering getting a stamp for my two "pistol brace guns" I almost feel like NFA items being already restricted are less likely to take center stage..

I mean if you absolutely had to.. you could cut off the brace and leave the extension chunk on the back and use it to mount any sling you wanted.. that's the biggest concern I have with the whole brace opinion thing.. there used to be this thing called a bump stock.. and the original opinion is they were fine.. then one day.. they magically weren't..

Comments made about NFA are not relevant.. federal law.. my comments come from reading NJ law literally word for word.. is it illegal to possess parts that can be assembled into an “assault weapon”.. per my reading yes.. is a AR stock a stock? Yes.. does it stop being a part once it is on a rifle? No.. If you take a flash hider.. and put it on an AR.. it’s still a flash hider.. a single individual part.. when you say “no you are wrong it’s ok” that’s fine but what in the literal law makes it OK? Unfortunately nothing I am reading.. Your comment about the vertical grip is an incorrect comparison.. the law is about having parts that can be assembled INTO a firearm.. it says nothing about it being illegal to have a gun that can be prohibited in the removal of a part..

I like to read and understand the law as it relates to guns.... if that does not interest you this thread is not for you.. I am simply thinking out loud about a potential problem with the law as it is written in regards to these new guns..

An assembled rifle is literally a collection of parts.. the definition could not be any more fitting.. as stated.. when the government does not define something the standard definition applies.. yes... a rifle is a rifle as defined.. but it does not change the fact that it is made of components.. or PARTS... the government offers no guidance on the matter so there would be no reason to think otherwise.. part /pärt/ noun plural noun: parts 1. a piece or segment of something such as an object, activity, or period of time, which combined with other pieces makes up the whole. I think the point is arguing that a gun is not parts readily available for your use is a stretch... a battery does not stop being a battery simply because it is in your laptop.. a piston does not stop being a piston because it is in an engine.. a stock does not stop being a stock because its on a rifle.. a bolt carrier does not stop being a bolt carrier because its in a rifle..

So it is technically illegal but no one cares? or there is some reason it is not a violation?

you can get stencils by the millions on eBay or amazon... one color down..then stencils.. next color down.. then stencils.. third color down.. etc.. wait till dry and carefully peel off stencil.. I didn't care too much about it being pretty.. I just wanted to break up the shape of the gun so I used various thickness string. but same idea..
