  1. I was helping my grandfather in his basement yesterday when I came across this bayonet. I have no idea what type of rifle its for. He was in the Army in WW2 and served in Europe. He brought this back with him but can't remember what type of rifle it came from either. I tried it on my K98 and it wouldn't fit over the barrel. Any help is appreciated. Also found this ammo. It is definitely .30-06, anyone know what year it might be. I assume its a stripper clip for a 1903. It has SE 18 3 C on headstamp. It dosent look to be brass cased either.
  2. I just shoot it. Go home clean it. Repeat process until ammo runs dry. This is how i broke in my 26" white oak upper on my match rifle and my criterion barrel on my CMP special grade and all other new barrels. And they all shoot very accurate. I'm sure some will disagree, to each their own. Good luck
  3. Very friendly guy, fast shipping and everything was exactly as described
  4. The Gun Rack in Vineland and Butchs Gun World used to have powder but with the current situation they may be out. Try Bobs Little Sport Shop too. Keep looking online, when you see it you gotta jump on it. Gunshows too, as mobbed as they are right now it'll probably be your best bet.
  5. I tried Local Smoke BBQ a couple months ago and was impressed. They are right across the street from Maguire AF base.
  6. Like the title says, .224 diameter Sierras in stock at Powder Valley. I just ordered some 80 grainers.
  7. Try to avoid excessive field stripping, it only wears out the lugs on the on the trigger group. Also it can hurt the accuracy,it will take a few clips worth of shooting for everything to get seated again. I only pull mine apart about once a year. Maybe
  8. Good luck, ain't nothing like an M1.
  9. Yeah, if you have 1/2" moa sights then double the clicks.
  10. On the military sights at 100 yds its usually anywhere from 10-14 clicks up from bottom to get you on paper.
  11. Looks like 30.06 from the picture, i think its perfectly legal to possess tracers but I don't think they're legal to shoot.
  12. I went in there one time a few years ago and had just about the same experience. The owner was a complete a$$hole. Overpriced everything. I'll never go back
  13. 989 centerton rd. Pittsgrove, N.J. 08318
  14. They're not trying to shut it down. The township stopped allowing the police to use the range along with the Boy Scouts, hunters education courses and any type of competition shooting. We're just trying to get this stuff reinstated. Come to the meeting if possible, Skip's sure to put on a show.
  15. There's a township hall meeting tomorrow night. If your a Pittsgrove twp resident and USANA member please try to be there at 6:30. We're trying to fill the court room. This will be the final township meeting.
  16. Count me in on one of these, I just gotta figure out exactly what this stuff is and how to use it.
  17. USANA has a membership fee but they do not charge by the hour. Probably only about 40 mins from Egg Harbor.
  18. I'm one up on you guys. Catch me if you can
  19. Bring yourself and $175 for membership but I think it's gonna be more around $165. Meeting starts at 7 but I would get there no later than 6:45. Probably around 6:30 so the owner can start doing the membership process earlier. There is no requirements to join.
  20. Lines go hot at 8am mon-fri. Saturday and Sunday you can start shooting at 9 am. $10 guest fee was $5 last year. No qualifications to become a member as previously stated. To use indoor range you must shoot 10 rds from 30 feet into a target. For the 200 yd range a range officer will just go over where to shoot. In actuality the 200 yd range is no different than the 100yd ranges except for distance. And yes they are very particular about which ranges you use for specific firearms and types of shooting and the owner has enough signage on the different ranges that there should be no questions. As long as you use common sense you'll never have an issue. And if your not sure ASK. If anybody's ever interested in going I'm always more than happy to take someone there. Can't never have enough reasons to go to the range.
  21. Price is the same for family as far as I know. I've taken my wife, kids, and sister all at different times and not a word was said. I would imagine if you brought your four brothers and 7 nephews you might draw some attention.
