  1. Knee surgery Thurs. Thanks anyway. I got the Clay bug.
  2. I just talked with Mossberg, 590 only has 18.5 or the 20", they say it's not compatible with any 500 series barrels.
  3. As some of you know from the Shotgun Shootout, I broke one clay with a borrowed Ithaca, zero clays with my 590, and one clay with a hammer. I want a semi auto for our next event for several reasons. What would you suggest? Money, 2000 max.
  4. XM, I had the cookies and was wondering why did I see chop sticks? Don't hide the treasure next time bro. You and your gf? did a great job, good work.

Hey Freejersey that'swhere I saw it, did it say take me home to you also?
  6. I had a great time and it was actually one of my best shooting days, ( enjoyment wise, not fire for effect days.) I would have like to see a match up with Drez and James. CZ vs Ithaca. Maybe I should say the James gang, Drez, ( Jesse ) and Frank James. Great picture of the two handed " Well I've got two good shoulders and elbows up to this point, shot. The helpfulness and comaraderie was second to none. Simply a classy group of people. Thanks for the apple pie Igor, it came in perfectly. Gunsmoke and apple pie, could be a Norman Rockwell painting. I took a bunch of pics and video, will post them when I find a technoid in my family, my techie nephew went and now proudly serves in the Air Force. Gotta get my niece when she comes home from school, or find one of you to help out. I'm the guy that collected all the spent hulls. I don't know what I'm doing yet, but have enough material, to screw up enough, to become an expert. I will be getting a 30" barrel with a bead for next time. That 590 I used really is a hallway gun. I know Ray and Drez made theirs work but they are light years ahead of me. I stood behind Socom 16 at such an angle that when he shot I thought this guy is really something. The first shot was just dandy, but his second and third shot was unbelievable. He pumped that action so fast I didn't see his elbow move. He later explained to me he was using a Benneli M2 field grade, which of course is a semi-auto. Oh well, live and learn. It was one of those events that built excitement on the boards for a few weeks, but delivered more than promised. Outstanding, 4.0, excellent.

Thanks guys. 1911 is a great machine, JM Browning worked hard enough to be considered a genius. One FTE on 465 rounds on my Kimber. I am moving on to a FNX 45 and have no complaints on 1911's. 15 + 1 on a 45 is nuff said. Browning worked for Fabrique if memory serves. My new Hilti hammer drill is far superior to my old Milwaukee steel one. The Milwaukee served me well for 12 years. Today's plastic, polymers, ain't my grand daddy's plastic. I'm selling my Kimber and probably buying the FN. With the extra money from the sale I'm buying ammo and more mags and shoot it til it goes blind. After 8000 rounds, if I like it I'll get another. I read the earlier model had some mag challenges, and some fireing pin problems. Lunker it doesn't appear you had those challenges. Cocked and locked appeals to my sensitivities, plus a decocker. From what you guys said it's a pistol worth owning. I hope I can meet you 11/3 and try a couple of rounds. 12/12 is my next buy date. 11/11 is a LCR 38. Just purchased a Sig P232 I think, it's their 380. I'll bring that along if you'd like to give it a go Lunker.

I liked the feel at the shop. I have a Kimber 1911 and like it but am tired of taking it apart and cleaning it. I thank you for your generous offer and may be able to accept it. Thank you.
  9. Things I remembered to bring while thinking of this event, and will probably forget. Camera and stand. Handi wipes. Eyeglass cleaners. Spotting scope and stand. Gloves. Portable seat. Things I never forget, guns and ammo, lunch. Things I should be sent home for, if I forget them, guns and ammo, lunch. Things I hope to experience tommorow. A respectful, safety conscious, considerate, accomodating, and fun loving group of Freedom loving Americans exercising our 2nd Amedment rights. Permission to break one clay with a hammer if I don't hit any with my shotgun. Getting to put faces to all of the board names I read here. Leaving the place cleaner than we found it. I expect Recessed Filter to be the Sherrif, and any other license holders to be the deputies, I consider myself a guest of theirs and will act accordingly. To the uninitiated, I mean Range Master when I say sheriff. Things I am willing to do. I will volunteer to do the worst, ugliest jobs that need to be done to ensure our good time. I will be the go-fer to run to the store for whatever. A tear drop may appear in my eye, but I will share my lunch. I will ask myself to leave if I do something stupid. It happens. Lastly, we are all Ambassadors of the 2nd Amendment. You already know what to do. See you tommorow.
  10. I ordered two spike stand hoping to get them in time for Saturday's shotgun Shootout. Tony shipped them Ties. and I got them Wed. I didn't open the box yet but the service was excellent. They will get used hard come Sat.

Any owners? Care to comment on a range report?
  12. Four days to go. I have some extra ears, and eyes. I don't think we'll need to worry about extras, I'm thinking we're gonna have a bunch of leftovers. XM you might want to bring a couple of hats.
  13. I got a POS from him. Top of the line, great guy, went to his house, ran through the checks, just would not work properly in the field. Sold it for a major loss.
  14. I'm going to get some staples and bring my stapler. If you have a cordless screwdriver that may come in handy, duct tape, I plan on some slug shooting so I ordered two stands from tony357, should have them by the weekend. Found a couple of furring strips, gonna get some more. I have a bunch of hand tools and wish I hadn't loaned my handsaw to my neighbor, who now thinks it's his. I have a hundred paper targets or so. Anyone have a medical kit? Any one think of other stuff we may need besides ammo and guns? Eyes and ears of course.
  15. Buggin in was my favorite response. Been smack dab in the middle of three instantaneous riots, no bag to be found, plenty of shit layin around for weapons. Immediate survival is natural. Had to save a guy that was in shock, he couldn't get over the fact people become pack animals and beasts at the snap of a finger. It's funny but in the Patton movie with George C. Scott during his speech he's says when you see what was once your friend.... you'll know what to do, and you will. Be the sheep hearder, protect the flock, the wolves will reveal themselves. I don't know what you are thinking now, but you will call upon God and you will be taken care of. And of course buggin out bags are cool, but your brain is even cooler, you'll know what to do.
  16. The spent shell is not ejecting?
  17. Sorry I'm missing something here.
  18. Alignment could be off, causing the catcher to be bent, retaining the shell but not enough to withstand recoil.
  19. How about the shell catcher is it showing shiny signs of undue wear, bent a little
