  1. If you are shooting surplus 7.62x45 do a full strip down at the range and flush it with water completley. It is the most corrosive ammo i have ever seen. Most likely though you dont have something chambered in that caliber though.
  2. Another reason NOT to buy from DICKS
  3. Thanks guys and DJ good catch i edited it is LF fender. Thanks again all.
  4. Hey guys my quad was stolen within the last few days from my work its a green 2003 Honda foreman 450s It has 27" highlifter outlam MST tires on ITP wheels, it has been snorkled with pvc pipe out the LF fender. The top headlight has a HID system in it a black rear seat bag. It has front disc brakes the factory seat has a few good tears in it. Has less than 2500 miles on it and the guage pod is scratched up and sun bleached making it barely visible. I will get some pictures up tonight when i get home. If anyone sees it or knows anything PM me here or email me. It was located in Hillsborough Nj somerset county. Police report filed and all that good stuff. Going to hit up the local dealers and such but wanted to get the word out here. friggin hate thieves ETA: found a pic on comp all that is missing is the seat and tank, the quad was COMPLETE when taken.
  5. that load was a .257" 90gr SBK over 25gr of aa2200, I think was about 2750fps.
  6. popped primer from a FC piece of brass in my 25Ar. pockets were loose and it worked its way into the carrier key first time ive ever seen this failure thought it was interesting. The offending primer Came out fairly easy small drill bit and 3mm tap popped right out. The brass had about 8 reloads on it in the process of culling all FC from my brass supply, it will be loaded 3x and tossed now. Some of my R&P and WCC have up to 11 reloads on them.
  7. I recomend getting as many books as possible lots of data is good. I currently have 10 load books that are cartridge specificplus, lee 2nd edition, lyman 49th, lyman cast book, sierra, 2 hornady books, speer, nosler, many hodgen books, plus all the data books available from each powder manufacturer along with the digital copies. I also PU the magazine Handloader, they usually have great articles on relaodeing and specific data on different rounds. If your able to get only one book now get a Lee 2nd edition, it goes through the entire process of relaoding and has many tips like the ABCs of reloading but it doubles as a very in depth load manual. I would check every book store you run into especially used ones and at gunshops for the older manuals also lots of good info especially if you are into some older cartridges. The 650 you purchased is fine for a starter press just do one round at a time and learn and understand each step before you jump in balls deep progressive. I do recomend a single stage for smaller batches and some case prep work. There will always be a need now or in the future where you wish you had a SS press, IMO.
  8. Look into easton fish and game very inexpensive and 100yd range. As far as your zero i would recomend a 100yd zero, that way all your adj. closer or farther than 100yds will be UP elevation. Makes it way easier to run the scope.
