  1. Thanks for the info I was wondering if they came from the factory with the short barrel. I grabbed it for HD and maybe rabit or turkey hunting maybe deer you dont get many long shots in the woods down here I will be taking to the range this weekend to patern it but I probably will put a rail on it for a flashlight and keep it next to the bed with rifled slugs. Anyway not a bad grab for a 100 Bucks
  2. I picked this 12 Ga at a gun show It says Made in Brazil by CBC Imported by FIE Model SB It has An 18.5 in barrel 35 in overall.FIE went bankrupt in 1990 can anyone out there tell me if these came from the factory like this or did someone do this after. If this was done afterwards its an awsome job because it looks factory. It also says 12 Gauge 3 in Modified proof tested what does this mean. Any info I can get would be great. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hey you should lighten up a little what law are we talking about I dont recall using the words New Jersey anywhere. BTW I think its pretty stupid to call someone you dont know stupid.
  4. If you want to hunt squirrels heres what you do you go to Dicks you buy a Big Cat 1200 pellet rifle you buy Kodiak 10.5 Grain pellets you practice shooting bullseyes you set up a bird feeder 25 yards away fill it with bird seed and sit they will show up. The pellet rifle doesnt wake the neighbors, the bullseye practice makes for an ethical head shot with the heavy pellet its an instant kill, you dont have to worry about a backstop because lead pellets loose there momentum as soon as they hit the skull. However you do have to watch out for the ones carrying the UZIS they shoot back
  5. Who said I didnt EF them up just kiddin actualy the front sight punched right out the rear took a lot of convincing but it worked out ok I also bought some Wilson Combat mags today for it from forum member 15636215 at the AMVETS Gun show these mags are awsome and he gave them to me for a great price.
  6. My first attempt at Gunsmithing on my Springfeild Armory Micro Compact .45. I could not see the factory sights so I removed them and installed these larger sights what a difference. While I had the gun apart I sanded and polished the slide, feed ramp, barrel lugs and ejection port. I also installed Pearce Grips with finger grooves they make this little powerhouse a lot easier to handle. All these thing made this gun function alot smoother. Now Im working up the nerve to do a trigger job on it. This is my carry gun when I step out of this wonderful gun friendly state that we live in.
  7. Nov. 19,2011 Take a Youth Hunting Day Get those kids into the woods they are the future of our sport. Taking 2 Grandsons ages 15 and 12 for the first time Im probably more excited than they are and I dont even get to shoot at anything.

  11. Bayville In 2005 my FID and 3 permits took about 6 weeks since then I have applied for maybe 10 permits the wait time has been anywhere from 90 days to 6 months in 2009 I applied for 2 permits 0n Sept. 9 I did not receive my permits until March 9 I called in Jan an was told I submitted my application in Nov. I have a receit dated Sept 9 for the 4.oo fee for 2 permits after that I was told to call once a week for updates some of the excuses I was given were the 1 girl that takes care of the permits was on vacation and trapped outside the country because of the blizzard, the detective is on vacation for the next 3 weeks while ther is a large stack of applications on his desk, the girl that handles permits only works part time ( 4 days a week ) Also a little inside info was she was given other duties and told firearms was to be put on the back burner and done after all other work then you cant get a live body on her extention so you leave a message and nobody calls you back. I find this so crazy that I pay realestate taxes in this state but I applied for a concealed carry permit in Florida and got it in 3 weeks door to door. The only way I dont get frustrated is to always have permits in the works weather I use them or not. Keith
