Picked up a SCAR17s last night and took it to Cherry Ridge this morning. Wow.
-
I like WOA and Rainier.
-
Switches to double diamond that takes glock 9mm mags. It'll save money over the long run. Now I have an extra lower and LPK that may be something good to stash in a trunk.
-
I was able to get a spikes magwell block which will take the c products mags. Unfortunately finding a 10 round mag is hard and getting a 30 round mag pinned comes to the same price. I may order a double diamond lower that takes glock mags and I have a 9mm glock with lots of mags.
-
I found a spokes tactical magwell insert so I grabbed it. It takes a wide variety of mags and the bolt hold open works with this unit. It was tough to find.
-
Yeah their 9MM lowers complete are about 455 bucks. I have a CMMG I got cheap and a lot of parts so I'd just have to get the magwell kit, the 9mm hammer (20 bucks) and a few mags at 45 bucks apiece.
-
What does that mean no magwell insert? Does it have the comp? Can you tell me how much? The fact that it is sitting so close just made it so much interesting!
-
I load both myself. So 9mm is super duper cheap and I can shoot the crap out of it.
-
I have a complete lower laying around and was considering a 9MM but it's pricey for the upper, magazines and magwell conversion. Before I do I thought I'd get some impressions. For about 200 bucks less I can get 6.8 from RRA.
-
Great, I have a grendel barrel that I'm waiting on the comp from Alexander arms. I'll get the barrel from my FFL of the SCAR (unless he'll bring you the whole rifle, don't know) and I'm in the process of working either a 9mm conversion or a 6.8, neither of which have the device pinned.
-
I'm sticking with pin welding. I know this sux, but what can you do. I'm working a 9mm ar so I just wanted to know. Do you guys do pin welding?
-
I know pin welding is one. What's the other?
-
I have a few ARs some with and some without muzzle devices. On the two with comps they are pin welded and topped with silver solder to make it visible. Is it required to make the weld visible? What if I JB welded the end, you certainly would destroy the barrel to get the device off and would that make it legal? Is the visible "pin" just so on sight it can be inspected?
-
OK, so it does address the fold and then just the pinning needs to be done so it doesn't collapse? Thanks, Rob

Does this meat the ban state requirements for a SCAR17? http://www.riflegear.com/p-943-stock-block-fn-scar.aspx I have one coming in this week and would prefer not to epoxy the stock if possible. The muzzle device can be pin welded.

I heard NICS shutdown today early to process the volume. They're closed on Monday which should make this a fun week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I bought an AR lower at Luciano's in Woodland Park just to have it and an LPK before 10 am this morning. I still haven't gotten the NICS check back, they are so far behind.
-
I guess I'll have to put that FN SCAR 17 on my credit card because it won't be around when I have the cash.
-
Unfortunately the sheep of NJ make this a ridiculously blue state but PA surprised me this time around.

Anyone stock powder in North NJ any more? H4895 sought

Few bucks less. Not worth the gas if its further for you. -
Great idea. I wish I lived closer

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
