  1. Now that you mention it, the brother of a friend who is a geologist for oil producers always said 'peak oil' was BS. Looks a lot like he was right. Once price is not a consideration, there's more than enough pumping capacity to go around. Although fracking in the U.S. market certainly put the heat on other oil producing countries.
  2. OK, here's a pretty logical explanation. At least for part of the problem. In brief, it costs more to store oil than to buy it.
  3. BTW today gas at the Quick Check on 206 in Hampton was $1.93. So we have great gas prices while we are not supposed to drive anywhere.
  4. Yes, the WTI crude price closed with a negative value. You've heard the possibility of negative interest rates, where you pay the bank interest to hold on to your money. I have no idea what this will portend in the long term. I hope it's just some kind of production vs. storage capacity vs. usage anomaly. If it turns out to be the harbinger of the unthinkable for our economy, remember April 20. Additional from Fox Business.
  5. BTW, here’s the $12-a-pint ice cream that she stuffed into her $24,000 freezer.
  6. Now that we're all well fed, maybe it's time to wake up and smell the Alinsky. “Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and chance the future.”
  7. Speaking of the vaccine, what assurance does anyone have that it will be 100% effective? I believe in the last fully documented flu season the flu vaccine was around 38% effective. Hardly a show stopper.
  8. The best two from the hundreds this week.
  9. From an anonymous UPS delivery driver... 5 types of customers since the “rona”: 1) Steve: He has been waiting for this moment his whole life. He has been drinking boilermakers since 10:00 am in his recliner and his AR is within arms reach. He has 6 months provisions in the basement and a bug out bag due west buried in the woods. Steve demands a handshake as I give him his package. He’s sizing me up as I deliver his ammo. Steve will survive this, and he will kill you if he needs to. 2) Brad: He is standing at his window wearing skinny jeans and a Patagonia t-shirt. He is mad because there were no organic tomatoes at Whole Foods today. He points at the ground where he has taped a 6 ft no go zone line from his porch. I leave his case of Fuji water, organic granola bites, and his new “Bernie Bro” hat at the tape. Brad will not survive. Steve will probably eat him. 3) Nancy: She has sprayed everything with Thieves oil. Bought all the Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, meat, and bread from the local grocery chain. She has quarantined her kids and sprays them with a mixture of thieves, lavender, & mint essential oils daily. She has posted every link known to man about “The Rona” on her social media. She will spray you if you break the 6 ft rule. I will leave her yet another case of toilet paper. She will last longer than Brad, but not Steve. 4) Karen: She has called everybody and read them the latest news on “The Rona”. She asked for the manager at Food Lion, Walmart, Publix, McDonalds, Chi-Fil-A, and Vons all before noon demanding more toilet paper. Karen’s kids are currently faking “The Rona” to avoid her. I’m delivering “Hello kitchen” to her. Karen will not survive longer than Brad. 5) Mary: Is sitting in the swing watching her kids have a water balloon fight in the front yard as she is on her fourth glass of wine. She went to the store and bought 2 cases of pop tarts, 6 boxes of cereal, 8 bags of pizza rolls, And a 6 roll pack of toilet paper. There is a playlist of Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, and Post Malone playing in the background. I’m bringing her second shipment of 15 bottles of wine in 3 days. Mary will survive and marry Steve. Together they will repopulate the earth. May God have mercy on us all.
  10. I haven't see this guy's channel before. But the video is of three home invaders breaking into a second floor apartment. The problem for them is the owner is armed. They lucked out because the owner is also (probably) not a good shot. And get a load of the exit.
  11. The following was posted on our neighborhood blog site in NJ prior to Easter weekend. Just update it in your mind as you read it. I post it here simply as cause for thought and reflection: This is the face of an ICU nurse. This is the face of working 65 hours over the last 6 days. This is the face of reality. This is the face going through hell. This is the face full of pressure damage from wearing PPE for almost 13 hours a day. This is the face of someone who fears for her own health and all her colleagues, past and present. This is the face of someone putting their life on the line for your families. This is the face of someone who hasn't seen their own family for nearly a month. This is the face of someone who holds your dying family members hand, so they're never alone. This is the face of someone who is exhausted, but will continue to fight Covid-19. This is the face of someone who will carry on, no matter what. This is the face of someone who is proud to stand on the frontline with all key workers. This is the face of someone who wants lock down to end. This is the face that is begging you, to NOT go out this Easter weekend. This is the face that is begging you to abide by the social distancing rules. This is the face of an ICU nurse that is begging you: to stay inside, protect us, protect the NHS and help us save lives.
  12. I just watched that interview. I was uncomfortable. Sooner or later the 'consent of the governed' has to enter into all this. The problem is, if 'the governed' believe they're deliberately being kept in the dark, they're a lot less likely "to consent". We're now paying the price for having a completely corrupted and one sided Democrat media. See "Michigan".

  14. And now Obama's hair is totally gray. And not Sniper Gray.
  15. From above: "Your declarative sentences and forceful feelings do not transform the meaning of either authoritarianism or freedom. Though if we dump our principles every time there’s a crisis, they might as well." I should incorporate that into my post on Murphy. So here's my article for this thread.
  16. Everytime I bought that HST on sale (like six sales all together?) I kept wincing. "We have enough, don't we???" For that matter I said the same thing for all the other ammo I bought in 2019. "Will we really need this much???" This morning I told Mrs. 45Doll "I'm your well stocked Easter Bunny. And that goes for the booze too!"
  17. TSUSA Winchester 147 gr 9mm $0.40/round. In December lots of in-stock 9mm in your choice of grains was 16-18 cents a round. Now the 147 grain is the only thing in stock that's not JHP or frangible, and they're at 80 cents a round and up!
  18. True, if there was a camera person. Look at the reflection in the largest glass. The camera's on a tripod.
