I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I broke out of work early and here she is: Picked it up at Shore Shot. Not the greatest deal, but I tend to spend more for instant gratification. Plus I shoot there so I gave them my business. As usual not the most personable but the kid was nice and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

I wanted the Gen 19 for its size and have no plans to change anything other than sights at this point because it will act as my HD gun. I have an SR22P for plinking and cheap shooting. a 9mm will make a big statement to someone. when it enters their body.

Yes this. I am pretty confident this is called a reference. I also am confident you could contact an attorney in Florida that can write a letter to remove the reference to the arrest. It may cost you $300 but That will be worth it. Beats a plane ticket, $1000+ for an attorney to go to court with you.

I have wanted to buy a Glock 19 Gen 4 for a while. I have researched and researched like crazy. I read up on all the problems it had for a while. Seems like that is all squared away. I shot a Glock 17 Gen 4 at SS this weekend and both the wife and I LOVED it. I prefer a smaller form factor so I checked out the G19 in the case while I was there and I am in love with it. Can anyone talk me out of it? We are on the verge of buying a house. I have one permit left that will expire in August. When I move I'll have to go through the change of address process and any spare money will go into the house. I'm thinking now is the time...

If they stop spending money on the whizbang digital speed signs maybe they could get someone else going on processing those apps.

Brick Armory gets blasted on here but I bought my first pistol there in early March and I had a great experience. I shoot at Shore Shot and in my experience its hit or miss on the friendliness and attention of the staff. I am in the market for a 9mm and will give them a chance. We'll see.

My PD told me to bring receipt right after I got fingerprinted with my application. They won't take the app unless you bring it. Not in general, just my PD said they wont take the app unless I bring the receipt with it.

I am not sure Christie will even be in the mix if he decides to run with Romney. He said he would "Hear Romney out" and is not opposed. I am not knowledgeable enough to know whether or not he is required to resign his position to run with Romney. I'm sure one of you know the answer to this. If he isn't, then yes, he will be held to the fire. That doesn't mean he'll do anything but he definitely could pride himself out of a job. I may get blasted for this but for a while I liked Christie. I loved the cander "tough sh*t" attitude. But I just got interested in 2A and firearms 6 months ago and when I found out he was such an "anti" I was disappointed.

I love my SR22. I throw blazers through it. It actually is known for eating anything from what I have read and saw. The only issue I had with it is I didn't have the spring on the guide rod installed properly. it has to be put over this little raised area at the bottom of the rod. Other than that it is sweet. Really fun to shoot. When I was renting I tried the GSG and I liked it other than the fact the range gave me a filthy gun that had FTF/FTE's like crazy. The gun is not known for that though. I don't think you can go wrong with the SR22, GSG 1911-22 or the M&P. I guess it all comes down to feel. The MK's are too weird looking for my taste.

So I started reading over Gun Facts and try to have it somewhat handy (its on my iPad) in case i need to throw something out. One thing I find is people laugh at it because a lot of the data is old. There is some data in this century but the majority is early to mid 90's. Some is WAY far back. I understand the level of research that needs to occur but is there anything more up to date out there? I hate hearing the "that was so long ago that's not how it is now" BS.

Thanks. Harry, I remember you telling me about shooting steel at OB. I didn't know you can bring your own. That pretty cool. I am looking for an outdoor range now that the weather is picking up. The only two I know of that would be in a decent distance would be Range 14 and OB. I'll need to figure this out soon!

excuse my ignorance, I am still learning a ton. where do you use the targets? Do you take them to an outdoor range or something? Again I apologize for the rudimentary question.

Did that once, my marriage fell apart. I'm not moving back to PA. However I will take advantage of their gun laws if I can until I find a job closer to home.

Hi all, My company recently moved to PA so now I trek out there almost everyday. I was thinking about getting my FL or Utah carry license to carry in PA. Are there any issues with transporting the gun in NJ out of state just to carry. In other words, If I get pulled over and for some reason I need to disclose the firearm. When asked where I am heading, if I say "To Pennsylvania" am I breaking NJ law?

I have 2 mags and it happened with both. It seems smooth to me but its my first gun so other than a few real dirty rentals I don't have much to compare it to.

When it fails I would just rack it manually and it would load the chamber.

It's a ruger SR22 Pistol. The cartridge isn't leaving the mag. The chamber is fully empty. When I pull out the mag, you can see the cartridge moved very slightly but not even close to exit the mag an go into the chamber.
