  1. alex jones is entertaining....and he does go over the top sometimes ...and i miss listening to the show...but i wont do it from any device linked to me directly..lol a little tinfoil hatty maybe...but trying to stay off "the lists" as long as possible..lol
  2. i just picked up p2p packet from my local police today...and up to today there have always been 2 sheets i had to get my references to fill out and sign ...asking basicaly if i was a drunk, drug addict, crazy,or a general danger if i had a firearm...along with a form to be filled out by my employer...and have read about others having issues where their references didnt recieve or pd says they never recieved these forms back...my question is are these forms required by law..and my pd now has changed their procedure and are mailing them ...or are they not a required form and is it possible they are no longer choosing to streamline/drop unnecessary forms
  3. i stopped by my local pd to pick up the "p2p packet" this afternoon..and pleasantly surprised when i walked in to see an elderly couple(husband/wife) picking up fid's and pistol permits ...and when i asked the person working the desk for the packet...he asked if i had been fingerprinted to which i said yes...and the lt. that handles the firearms stuff looked oved and saw me and said hi then said to the other officer "yes i know him" lol...then hands me the packet which used to be a thick manilla envelope was now just a couple pages stapled together.... when i get to my truck i glanced through them as it seemed awfully thin...and to my surprise....they appearantly have done away with the extra forms that used to be part of the process...its now 4 pages....cover sheet with directions/info.....application form....mental health records search form....and yellow request for criminal history record info........gone are the individual (2 reference forms)and the employer form ...that we used to get filled out and return....initially i thought that was a good thing...now im wondering if they actually stopped using those..or if they now as some other towns do are mailing those to references and employer to be filled out?...i sure hope not....as that no doubt will slow the already ridiculously slow process
  4. i dont expect a daily emailed itinerary...but i would think that some of the low on the totem pole could be delegated to forwarding emails to members for organized rallies and such in larger numbers than the antis.....oh well hopefully the "lobbying" will work...but im not sold that any politician can be trusted to follow through on back room deals...
  5. Ok and with all this additional income they've recieved ... What's happening?.... Are they on the offensive?... Are the reaching out to members organizing rallies?.... Doing anything?... Daily internal meetings?... Maybe...all the while all you see and hear are how Americans are begging for these laws to protect us from the ebr's and now all firearms it seems.... Maybe after whatever bs scumbaba and clan shove up our a** ... With All the donations NRA will buy another tv spot and have another weak sorry " press conference" disagreeing with the law ... And vow to not settle... And disappear again.... Until they start hounding for renewals... I'm not "anti NRA".... But Wth are they waiting for ?! It's frustrating to see nothing happening for our side...
  6. I hope you're right....but it's not looking good from what I can see
  7. makes me wanna cry seeing them destroy that poor forged lower lol
  8. i saw some on amazon the other day ...no name and they were cheap... wondered if they were any good
  9. a couple fly by shootings and itll be next on the ban list...
  10. and i also wonder all the letters/internet petitions..do the intended recipients even see them?...or does some aide just shoot back a form letter to make you feel warm and fuzzy like your elected officials care.... and keep it moving...but thousands of people peacefully rallying in front of buildings that makes news...just cant be like the occupy type escapades and the statement needs to be made before they pass the bs they are trying
  11. see how much more coverage "they" get?.....how much more nationally organized they are?...they get s$%t done......
  12. agreed...and thats not him...but here we are..second term...
  13. who controls the media?...."they" call the nra a killing organization....and ive herd mention "they" want it named as a d.t. group
  14. im going to get flamed for this im sure..but i dont put much faith in the nra...arent really doing any national organizing of rallies and such...some minion in their huge buildings could be sending out emails..it wouldnt take away from their "war room planning"...with the huge influx of memberships...and increased revenue...they should be able to overcome this...but they have to actually DO something...not just make video statements...
  15. i agree but i think it needs to be a nationwide big statement...thats why i mentioned the nra organizing it...as for the later part..if only we had a time machine...but i think its a little late now for that lol definately agree...just need to get people off their asses..and realize this is a pivotal point and once in place it will be far harder to fix
  16. i actually feel no line has been drawn...a majority of the problem is as you mentioned alot of people seem to think nothing is going to happen....and 50% of those who do think something bad is coming...talk about it around the "watercooler" but are too busy with their life to draw a line...expecting by donating to nra personel car payments and expense accounts is "doing something"...which leaves a small scattering of "one man armies"...which isnt going to get the job done....we need real show of support....organized demonstrations....not hostile protests leading to fighting etc....but who should be organizing this...?...i say the nra...in all reality...some guy on a message board 1 hr a day lineing up 25 people to go walk back in forth in front of city hall isnt going to make the statement we need made....
  17. agreed...and even some non active marine friends that i still keep in touch with...seemingly have drank the kool aid...and said things i never thought id hear them say...
  18. but not all of them remember that and which side of the line they belong
  19. my point exactly..too little too late...this forum for example is firearm enthusiasts...and 40%+/- have already given up and are picking out new hobbies...like thats all this is about...howd everyone like the extra money out of your checks this week?
  20. i actually wonder in the hypothetical scenario...where a gun ban/turn in or youre a felon were the outcome...how many of the never owned a gun before soccer dad panic buyers would actually stand ground...my thought is they are buying based on the theory there will be grandfathering....not to be prepared for the next american revolution...and faced with the " turn in or youre breaking the law" they will trot themselves on down to the local drop off spot like loyal subjects
