Just spoke with the Lt and my permit/FID will be ready tomorrow! The wait is over!!

The guys at Ramsey are nice and easy to talk to. Stopped by there last week and saw that their Gen3 glocks are going for $529 + tax and nics which is pretty damn good. Decent selection for such a small firearms section.

so disappointing. everyone saw the score cards and even the announcers were in shock. Bradley couldn't even seem to justify his win and says he'll have to go back to the tapes to see if he really won! complete garbage!

Had a great time at RTSP tonight. The Sig 229 .40 is a sweet handgun as well as the XD40. It was nice to feel the difference between the DA XD and the DA/SA 229. I don't really notice a difference between shooting .45 and .40 except that the .40 has a bit more muzzle flip to it. Big ups to RTSP and the brand new facility, but damn their ammo is expensive! $35 for a box of 50 rds! I definitely spent way too much to test out 2 pistols tonight, but I think it was worth it.

Sig SP2022 .40 cal is only $349.99!! shit I'm still waiting for my initial FID and P2P... this deal is very hard to pass up

Still waiting... "available in a few days" has now turned into nearly 2 weeks and I can't seem to get in touch with the Lt to see if my references have been received or not. I don't understand what the holdup is...

I also wanted to ask if it was a common thing to ask a fellow range dweller to try out their pistols/rifles... I'm trying to figure out what to buy as my first handgun but have only shot in .45 thru a kimber and xd45. I have no idea what a 9mm, .357, or a .40 feels like. I'd head to shore shot to rent a few but the bullet hole is about as far as I can get when I have some free time away from my wife and son. does anyone know of any places that rent pistols or rifles around the Bergen area?

I'm in the palisades park area which is close by the George Washington bridge. Is there a cost to join the pistol club? are there any advantages to joining such as reduced ammo or range costs? I appreciate the suggestion bigblue

Woohoo! Just called my local PD and was told my FID and permit will be done next week. He's just waiting on references which were mailed today. So from the day I submitted the morpho receipt should be around 3 weeks. Couldn't be happier with Palisades Park PD

I had to sign that form in front of an officer before I had my finger printing done. If I'm not mistaken he either signed or stamped it, then made photocopies, and issued a case# for morpho.

Thanks for the response Pizza Bob! I've read that many PD's are taking the payments along with the application so I figured it was the norm, so to read your comment makes me feel much more at ease. Joe

Another thing to add.. I submitted my application paperwork, got my case # for morphotrak on the same day and schedule for finger printing 2 weeks later. I bring my receipt back to the PD and ask who to write the money orders out to, but am told that it's not needed at that time. Has anyone else paid the fees (aside from morpho for printing) after this point? I feel like the process is just being delayed. Are the payments required for the application to go thru in the first place? Or can they ask for payment later on after everything checks out? Please help

hey everyone new guy here trying to see if anyone's had any experience with the palisades park PD for their FPID application. tried looking through a lot of threads and it doesn't seem as though anyone's posted anything about this town. wasn't really given any time frame and the only response I got was "someone will call you at some point." so... I'm assuming this will be a long wait... after reading a ton of threads, this forum has definitely got me really excited to get my first handgun! looking at an S.A. XD40 at the moment. i've already been to bullet hole twice in the past week and went thru roughly 300 rds with my buddy's XD45 and kimber 1911. I have to admit, I'm already hooked and it looks like this will be one expensive hobby. if anyone can chine in about this town's usual wait time, it would be very much appreciated. thanks Joe
