I have astigmatism and i thought my aimpoint sight was broken when i first used it. Then i went to the eye doctor and got the right prescription contacts and now i see it just fine Just make sure your glasses/contacts are the current, correct prescription and youll be fine. Otherwise your red dot sight will look more like a red blob sight

I have a bead on my 870. Just point the barrel and shoot! And nothing to break! Hd shotguns are not about sniping

I've been a member of a private range in Pennsylvania for about 25 years I usually take pistols/rifles to rtsp or heritage guild in Easton. Otherwise I drive an extra 30 minutes to my range, but only for an all day sessions because it's 2 hours from my house!

18" barrel is too short for clays, correct? I have a shitload of buck/target shot, but I really liked shooting slugs at targets, is there a place online or in nj to buy cheap bulk slugs?

I never understood angled iron sights. You either have a bizzare crooked sight picture, or have to angle your rifle for a normal sight picture. I just have good quality backup iron sights in conjuction with my rds, you can use your flipups just fine with the sight turned on or off. No need to quick disconnect. And why put a $30 ebay sight of all things on the side of your rifle, that will deinately get bumped even when you just place your rifle down on a shooting bench? Are you ready to put enough trust into them to hold zero? i did a lot of research when i was putting my evil black rifle together and decided to go with a flipup + rds for this reason I am in no way lambasting anyone for choosing differently than myself, i just want to give you my opinion on this! Whatever works for you works for you!

Update: So on friday the state police called me advising that they need to do a complete record check to verify that my "crime" wasnt a "crime". Today (monday) state police firearm department calls me back saying that im gtg, and never check anything but "no" again on a coe. Now i wait for the nics check... Which they apparently already did to check my coe! lol
