  1. Only one range trip so far... but I have 200 rounds of Tula thru one of them without any issues.. I ran it dry with just the lube that came on the PSA BCG... It also ran a mag of PMC Brass that trip as well...
  2. Also... I just want to say the $189 uppers look awesome... They come with KeyMod rails, 5" removable rail section, QD sling mount and use Anderson upper receivers and bear creek barrels. The pictures on the website do not do them justice. My $500 budget build looks like $1000+ mid level build. https://22mods4all.com/en/ar-15/245665-16-ar15-carbine-556-18-twist-10-keymod-slim-free-float-rail.html Break Down: 22mods4all Complete Upper w/Shipping $227 PSA BCG Free Shipping $69 Anderson Stripped Lower ( 10 pack $399) $39 FFL Transfer/ NICS / Shipping ( 10 pack of stripped lowers) $25 Amazon RRA LPK Free Shipping $49 Amazon Stock Kit Free Shipping $39 Generic Muzzle Break Free Shipping $15 Muzzle Break Pinned by FFL $55 Total Price $503
  3. I currently own 5 decent quality AR style rifles. So I am good as far as my personal collection goes. I recently purchased 10 stripped Anderson lowers and planned to build 5 budget quality rifles for friends/family now and store 5 stripped lowers as insurance for our next Democratic Govenor. I was trying to build the 5 budget rifles for under $500 each and literally giving them away to friends/family at a $100-$200 loss per rifle. My way of supporting the second amendment instead of donating to the NRA. I got $69 bolts from PSA and $189 uppers -Anderson / Bear Creek - from 22modsforall.com so I was well under budget. While I wait for amazon to process my return I think my best option is to procure 5 replacement buffer tubes this weekend to take advantage of the current promotion pricing. Can anyone suggest a good sale on 5 buffer tubes? I certainly want to ensure I get tubes that are within spec but price is still a big concern...
  4. So I measured everything. The bad buffer tubes are 6 3/4". The correct size is 7". Also the whole batch of 5 buffer tubes have the incorrect inner dimension. I should be able to return these thru Amazon. Im sure everyone who purchased them needed to return them. The pictures below clearly show the issue. Rgds, Jeff
  5. FYI - IWI has the FDE pistol grips in stock and they are 20% off on Monday.
  6. I put together a build last night and everything went well until I tried to lock the bold back... When pulling the charging handle the bolt travel stops about a 1/4" short of allowing the bolt face to retract behind the bolt hold open latch. So I can not lock the bolt open.. After scratching my head for awhile and try different bolts, buffers etc between a working rifle and this new build there is only one difference. I measured with a dowel and the inside length of the new builds buffer tube is a little shorter then the tube on the working rifle. Even with the spring removed and just buff and bolt installed they do not retract for enough to clear the bolt hold open latch. I'm not sure how to fix this... I purchased 5 supposedly mil spec stock kit... this is what I purchased...
  7. $69 for their BCG is a great buy... but they do mini package deals just as good monthly as well. No need to wait till Black Friday each year. I got 4 BCG's recently In September I paid $99 for BCG and 120rds Federal .223 in mini ammo can. Free shipping. ($69 BCG and $30 ammo, (0.25 per round)) In October I paid $84 for BCG and Charging Handle, free shipping ( $69 for BCG and $15 for CH)
  8. Interesting article on what Trump could reasonable accomplish within his first 90 days in office to help improve Second Amendment issues within this country. http://bearingarms.com/bob-o/2016/11/09/five-fast-gun-law-reforms-president-trump-will-make/ The one I am anxious to get accomplished would be National Reciprocity.... That said does anyone think there could any significant impact on getting P2P's processed in a (relatively) timely manner... I could see a surge (and potential shortage) in carry pistol purchases. I know I will need to trade in a few target size units for carry models.
  9. Kentucky Gun Company but i think those prices are long gone...
  10. So I got a 10 pack of Anderson stripped lowers a few months back for $400. I called around and some FFL's were going to charge me $50 for each lower to process transfer... I finally Settled on Franks Tackle... They charged $44 for the first lower, $22 for the second and $11 for each additional. Came to $154 for 10 lowers plus NICS. Not bad...
  11. Will do .. Thanks. I the mean time could you forward me a recent email? [email protected]
  12. Does anyone know an online Bulk Ammo company that accepts Paypal and ships to NJ.
  13. Valpak or the other coupon company has a $25 off of $100 purchase coupon. Does anyone in Bergan County have one they are not going to use and would be willing to part with?
  14. Any full autos made after 1986 can not be transferred. I read there were only 3 G18's that got on the transferable NFA Registry. Before it was closed down. They were very new in '86.
  15. Does this qualify as a collector? And I'd trade them all for a NJ Permit...
  16. Not my actual hunting Lic. It was my NJ Hunters Ed completion certificate. Not sure if they accept an actual Hunting lic.
  17. I got the Black pistol grip.... I think I am going to run it as is for awhile. Does it look "correct" or does it scream after market hack job.
  18. IWI makes it.... It is an Factory replacement option...
  19. Aesthetics mainly... I don't like the look of the large hand guard...
  20. I just ordered the replacement hand guard for the x95... It is only available in Black. I can use the FDE side panels I already have instead of the black side panels but that still leaves quite a bit of black showing. Can anyone recommend an aerosol spray can product that will be a close match to IWI FDE? Perhaps Alumahide from Brownells or a duracoat/ceracote product? Perhaps I could send the Black grip and one of the FDE side panels to a Cerakote shop for a custom match? Any recommendations on who and perhaps how much to expect? I don't need it 100% perfect... Just don't want it to look amateur. I spent so much already on the gun I don't want to skimp now.. This video show how it looks two tone.... Does anyone think it looks acceptable as is? The gun does have black accents... https://youtu.be/lc4uFgQEXTY
  21. Geissle trigger feels awesome. Very smooth two stage... As good as any AR drop in trigger... To be honest the stock trigger was very nice as well. Not as good but very nice... If you are not willing to sell the stock x95 trigger to offset the cost of the Geissle I would just stick with the stock trigger. Also when IWI starts selling them at $199 it is a nice budget option to upgrade the trigger on a SAR21 Tavor vs $350 for the Geissle.
  22. I just picked this up last week... Sold the stock trigger for $150 and purchased a Geissle... I hope to get it to the range this weekend. So far I love the way it handles.
  23. That is hitting a guy where it hurts.... Right in his optic nerve.....
