  1. based on other members experiences, i won't even bother stepping foot in the place. there are plenty of other shops in nj to purchase your firearms/accessories that are courteous and willing to help us out.
  2. That was the beginning of Oct btw. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  3. I got my last round of pistol permits back from trpd in 3 weeks. I was shocked lol. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I wanted to post a +1 for Mike at MTN Armory. I purchased a bunch of mags for myself and alot of friends from him recently; a few people backed out and I had to sell the remainder of them in the WTS forum bc I paid up front for all of them. They were 556/223 mags fixed to 15 rds in a variety of colors. All mags performed perfectly, and Mike couldn't have been better to deal with. If anyone is looking for NJ legal ar mags would highly recommend MTN armory. (google search it)
  5. thanks for the replies guys. so in short, my scenario should be perfectly legal as per the statutes on the books. good to know, even though i'm still not going to leave anything in the car lol.
  6. Wouldnt the soft case being in the trunk eliminate the need for it being secured? Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  7. thank you for the responses. better to be safe than sorry.
  8. also, my family is doing the same thing except with boats. damn near half the residents in our area with boats lost them during this storm; they are going into buy mode anticipating lots of ppl with insurance checks come spring.
  9. lol. I am sure this question has been answered elsewhere, but when the AWB happened in the 90's, were ppl who had purchased them before the ban allowed to keep them? edit: keep them legally
  10. So if i buy a long gun in a gun store in another state, do I need a copy of an NJ COE?
  11. p38 is the old can opener haha, or the p51 is the slightly bigger model. its funny how technology always advances but some simple things will never be improved upon. we have thousands of items in the store packed into our little 1400 sq ft sales floor, many of them cool little things like the can openers. it's sad to think that most of our stuff went under water during the storm; it's going to be hard to re-purchase the stuff in bulk, bc we did it at prices 5-15 yrs ago. we haven't seen the store in person yet, so there is still hope that we can save alot of our stuff. I'm done hijacking this thread, as I agree with specopsscout that Harry was a great guy, and we still try to support any Army Navy store anywhere bc it's a tough business and we have to try and support one another.
  12. Yes I realize that but what I would like to know is whether I need to get a copy of a NJ COE. For instance - In a state like Vermont or New Hampshire, all you need is a valid id and a NICS check to get a long gun. If I walk into a Vermont FFL and they run my NICS according to them I am good to go, but do I still have them fill out a NJ COE for me?
  13. I am glad this thread popped up bc I never knew we were legally allowed to have any gun in our car if we were not directly on our way to/from the range or from the gun store. Here is my question, is this scenario legal? I am driving somewhere other than directly to the range/gun shop Have my FID on me Rifle in trunk of car Rifle is unloaded in a soft case Mag pouches on outside of soft case have loaded mags in them Thank you in advance for your input.
  14. Basically exactly what thread title says. If I purchase a rifle ftf outside of NJ do I need to have the dealer fill out the NJ COE form?
  15. pretty much same boat as this. I have an xd45 that I like (and will probably like much more once my trigger kit comes in) but I enjoy shooting my 1911 more. I just recently agreed to purchase a FNP-45 from another forum member but can't pick it up until december thanks to our fabulous OGAM law lol. Will report back once I am able to shoot it.
  16. thanks guys, will let you know when the store will be back open
  17. Thanks Checker, appreciate it!
  18. Negative. We have had ppl tell us the building is fine, no idea about the inventory. The looting turned out to be the police breaking into the store to take supplies that they claim they needed. They told us they made a list of what they took and will pay us for it. We will see if that happens or not. All accounts are pointing to it being 6 months or more before the island is in good enough shape to let ppl back on for good. We should be able to get in by the end of the week to inspect the store though. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Thanks for the shout out. We try to keep the pricing fair. It's tough to compete with internet prices but we do what we can. If anyone ever happens to see something in there that they think is overpriced ask one of the girls to call Blake and see if there is any room for a discount, especially if its something surplus. We will always try to work with you guys. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  20. thanks yota. attempting to get there via boat tomorrow. radio says if you get caught by the state police you get ticketed but f*k it we are gona try to assess the damage and re-board the sh*t out of it so it deters ppl. might also lay a claymore behind the door to teach these ppl a lesson lol. just kidding
  21. got confirmation just now that the army navy store has been looted. we can't even go to the island to check on it/stop it. not a good feeling to know your business is helpless and you can't do anything about it.
  22. Got gas at the wawa on 37 and Hooper in toms river around 6 this evening. 10 min wait $3.45/ gallon Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  23. this. we are intending to keep our store open to help out anyone who can't make it off the island but still needs supplies.
  24. None of them are good, but the white pearl is your best bet. It was built like 3 yrs ago so its not that skeevey. It's on central ave. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
