  1. Costas lacks the courage to say this is his own opinion, instead he quotes another to remove the responsibility from himself. COWARD! Belcher was an athlete in peak physical form, capable of killing ANYONE with nothing more than his bare hands. Costas would have been smarter to lament domestic violence than to blame the gun. Just ask Nicole Brown Simpson.
  2. In Jackson, I applied in late April and recieved them in mid-October. 5 months and I've had my FPID for more than 20 yrs. You want to talk to Captain Wagner, He's in charge of the firearms ID's. As of Last month, Jackson had a backlog of over 300 applications. My wife has just applied for her 1st FPID, so we will see if things improve. Good luck!
  3. Your local Wal-mart has many options for safety eyewear. DVX by Wiley-X, Liberty Optical, and other Industrial-rated ( z-87 ) prescription eyewear. They are usually much cheaper than the mall eyeglass shops.
  4. Permits finally in! Applied in late April, so about 25 weeks to process. The Chief says there's over 330 application in process, 175 of them just waiting for their final decision. NJ has to dump this antiquated charade. NIC checks are more than sufficient.
  5. Almost 6 months and I'm still waiting. I've spoken with the Capt. responsible for the apps several times over the last few months. No results. So today I emailed the Chief and Mayor. What a crock of s**t. How can they believe that it's OK to screw us over like this. "WE THE PEOPLE" My A**!
  6. Can a non-member get in to watch the match and check out the facility? I am currently looking for a range to join and cjrpc is right down the road from me.
  7. I picked up a MMR there over the weekend. They sold close to 50 m&p sports this weekend. They had plenty in stock.
  8. I spoke with a Capt. with the Jackson PD this week. He stated that they were inundated with p2p apps this year and have a backlog of "over 100 apps" to get through. I glimpsed a list of names waiting for p2p's and I'd guess over 200 people are on it. I've been waiting since April. I was told it would be another 4-6 weeks "at least" to receive my permits. The Captain sounded legit. I don't believe its a conspiracy. I think he'd rather be doing policework than paperwork. I can't imagine how long it would take if the state took over the process!
