  1. My wife was anti gun for the first couple years we were together. I grew up shooting, and wanted to get my own, but was unable to because money was tight. She was against me getting any until the night we were sitting watching TV and the doorknob of our apartment started to jiggle. Jump forward a couple years and I own 3, and she's in the process of getting her own.
  2. I'm at 28% right now. I'm hoping I can get the main story finished half way through the month so I can put it up on Ebay and put that money towards Battlefield 4. If not, its no biggie. I'll definitely be getting it for PC whenever it comes out.
  3. Nope. Don't have any reason to. I always have a knife on me anyway. My dumbass would forget I was carrying, and run out to the Wawa for some milk with it still on me.
  4. If you guys decide to go then I'd definitely like to meet up. I live about 15 minutes from Range 14.
  5. Yes. She's a good shot with my Ruger, but won't touch my Mossberg or Smith and Wesson since she's never used them.
  6. Was really hoping this would be a near instant check. When I bought my Ruger back in June, the check took a week. I was hoping to take ownership of an M&P 15 this weekend, so I may have to call my FFL tomorrow and get the ball rolling.
  7. Told myself I was gonna wait for the PC version, but after watching a friend play it I cracked and picked it up for the 360. So far I'm loving it.
  8. If Joe was the owner then he was the guy that helped us out at the counter, and was very friendly. I also saw that a couple guys were using steel cased ammo which was nice since I've heard of indoor ranges not allowing it. I was allowed to use my own ammo for mine, but had to buy ammo from them for any of the rented guns.
  9. It was pretty hot in there. A box of 50 of 9mm was $27. Not great, but the last time I was at Shore Shot they were charging around $40. I guess we were pretty lucky with the amount of people there. At most there were 3 other people there at a time, and they all seemed pretty well disciplined.
  10. Also, the flat rate of $20 per person for an unlimited amount of time versus Shore Shot's $20 per person per hour was much better.
  11. So I took my wife out to Ready Aim Fire in Bristol this morning for her first time shooting my SR45. We also rented a Glock 19 and bought some 9mm ammo. Overall I have to say I was pretty happy with it. I liked it much more than Shore Shot. The pricing on the rental and ammo was much better, it was less crowded, and the staff just seemed friendlier. She did much better than I expected with the SR45, and the Glock 19. It's nice to see my wife change from an anti gun liberal into a blossoming pro second ammendant woman. The fact that she now wants a Glock 19 is an added bonus.
  12. Considering prohibition lead to a huge rise in organized crime, and all the drug war has accomplished is wasting hundreds of billions of dollars, I'm with vladtepes.
  13. I'm gonna second the SR45. Only .45 I've fired, but I was expecting more recoil. I've only put 200 rounds through it so far, but no issues at all. You could also probably find one for $450 to $500, so it will be harder for your wife to go back on her word.
  14. After high school I worked at the local Shoprite for 3 years. I couldn't stand the public after all the crap I went through, although luckily I never had to deal with anybody with as bad of an attitude as this woman.
  15. Very nice. I looked into that model, but figured I'd save a couple hundred and went with the SR45.
  16. My Ruger has a magazine disconnect, but I can still dry fire it. There is supposed to be something that will block the striker when you pull the trigger without a magazine inserted. I'd definitely look into it because it mentions in my manual that dry firing without the magazine in can damage the striker.
  17. Unfortunately no dogs yet, but I'd like to get a doberman once we move into a bigger place.
  18. Was gonna make porkchops for dinner, but now that you mention this I'm starting to feel pretty lazy.
  19. I have about 15 feet from my bed to my desk. It's a doozy.
