  1. Just got a S&W 686 4" barrel on order if anyone is looking for one. These have been very scare lately.
  2. Factory new Smith & Wesson 686 revolver available. See my Marketplace ad: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/classifieds/item/1604-sw-686-revolver-357-magnum/ Or call 973-409-4631for more info
  3. Unless your buying a lot from them, why would any business - FFL or not - do something like this for free? Most people at work have enough to do, and if this is taking up time that could be used to do something that could make them money they are not going to waste their time dealing with it unless it to help out a good customer. If the OP had me do the transfer, we're talking $25 and a COE - that's it. Not much of a burden.
  4. I do not have a wholesaler at this time that seems to carry either of these brands. If you wanted to order one and have it sent to me, we would charge you $25 for the transfer - probably still cheaper than driving out of state to an airgun specialty shop to pick one up - unless you're far from me.
  5. The ATF requires dealers to comply with the laws of the state they are licensed in and the state where the buyer resides. It is up to the dealer to decipher what is legal in both jurisdictions and what is not. Some dealers are well versed in this and others are not or just don't want to be bothered figuring it out. As JT said, a dealer can refuse any sale if they are not comfortable with the deal. As for buying a non compliant gun out of state - they buyer could not legally take possession of it from the dealer unless/until it has been modified to be compliant.
  6. No NICS fee since NICS is federal and the feds don't consider airguns firearms. If you buy an air rifle from a NJ dealer you need to have an FPID card and fill out a COE (and money) - that's it. If you buy out of state you need to make sure you don't buy one with a sound suppressor on it (they are all the rage right now outside of NJ), they are a major no-no in NJ. If you're interested, I have several Gamo Big Cat's in stock in .177 and .22, and they are reasonably priced - probably would be cheaper than making a trip out of state or transferring a mail order rifle through a dealer. http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/classifieds/item/1422-gamo-big-cat-177-air-rifle/ http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/classifieds/item/1421-gamo-big-cat-22-air-rifle/

  12. A judge let a homeless man in Morristown use a park bench as his address to register to vote about 15 or 20 years ago. It was a rather significant case that the ACLU got involved in. He also won a sizable judgement after suing the Morristown public library because they enacted a dress code (or used some other similar manner) to keep him out after library users complained that he smelled and would stare at them.
