  1. Thats bad ass, you gearing up for 3 gun?
  2. It time once again to come outside and have some of that thing you all fear most,,, fun... Oh wait a minute I just remembered I'm on the Internet where no one can take a joke. Okay starting over, this Saturday at Quinton sportsmans club in Quinton nj there will be 6 official steel challenge stages. This is a very easy going get together of like minded people shooting guns and having fun. It's only a few dollars to play and is a ton of fun. You don't need any fancy equipment or guns. Pretty much any pistol caliber non magnum gun can play. You will do a lot of shooting and probably be home by lunch time. Youll meet alot of funny people that that like to laugh all day and don't bite. Also no one will be wearing those scary skinny jeans or flannel shirts. You can just show up and shoot or if you would like you can pre register here https://practiscore.com/quinton-sportsmens-club-steel-challenge/register if you don't have an account it only takes a few minutes to make one.
  3. 2/3 of the people that shoot matches are on the same skill level as you. Obviously I've never seen you shoot but I know this to be fact. They are just out there to have fun, learn something from like minded people and shoot cool/different targets. Steel challenge is his saturday, grab a 9mm or a 22 and come on out.
  4. It's really nothing like big boy makes it sound. Yeah there's matches that the club unanimously approved at the meetings. Idpa only takes up 3 of the small ranges and is over and packed up by noon. There are still plenty of other similar ranges to use when it's going on. 3 gun uses 4 of the smaller ranges and is packed up by 1 and there is still a pistol range open for anyone. Same for uspsa. With those matches the massive rifle ranges are open to everyone as well as all the shotgun stuff. The matches that do take place on the rifle range are over by 11am and they don't use the separate 100 yard rifle range or any other ranges. Long post short, there is always some kind of shooting to be done by the antisocial shooters. I have no idea why people are scared to shoot matches, you will meet some of the funniest people and always have a good time. Not that this is a rant but rant over, gotta get back to my man career.
  5. I have with the same poppers but you have to shoot it in the head with 223 to get it to move, 308 moves them just fine. I copied the MGM ones, you can go on his website to see a video. The videos are all separate though for the different guns and he's not very clear about what he's shooting it with. Pistols barely move it. The easiest thing to do is just hang a plate from a saw horse with some chain, 223 moves it just fine.
  6. Do you or anyone you know have an up to date hunting license? You can probably go to one of the WMA's with that. Here's a link I found with some of them. Either yourself or someone with you needs a current license though. https://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/ranges.htm Might not be a bad idea to have a reputable gunsmith check out the gun first to make sure it's safe to fire.
  7. Also if you want anything made let me know. I make it all, poppres, dueling poppers, knock down steel with stands, target stands, steel challenge sets, pretty much anything you can think of.
  8. I think Fazzios had a dueling tree for $200 brand new, if you get it lmk so we can do some racing, don't worry I'm not that good.
  9. Steel challenge is now at Quinton too, first Saturday of the month. The high power rifle match is also blast, it's nothing like a CMP match it's just run what ya bung all knock down steel. There is a couple of .22 matches I don't know much about but are pretty popular. Like regular guy said all matches are open to the public. It sounds like a busy place but you can go pretty much anytime and have a bay all to yourself if your into that kind of thing. The sporting clays is second to none if you ask me, trap, 5 stand and skeet is all there as well. For $100 a year it's a no brainer.
  10. New shooters, walk ons, and operators welcome!!!
  11. Feel free to come out and watch too if you are curious I guarantee you will want to shoot next month.

  13. I thought there was a thread on here about it, I tried searching for it for a while before I bought it but couldn't find it... I'm sure it was just a bunch of no nothing shit talking anyway, like most threads... For $13 who cares, hopefully my money helps someone and I never need to find out.
  14. It's $2 extra for multi state coverage with the us law shield, for the basic coverage it's 11. I don't know to much about it I never been to one of the classes, just figured it's better than nothing.
  15. I got da US Law Shield, it be like 13 dollaz a monf automatically comes out. Cus Iz dindonuffin
  16. Wait, what? I can get an M1 carbine? I've wanted one my whole life. How much is C&R?
  17. I kinda like it all, 3 gun is probably my favorite but I run the match so its to much work to have fun. Sporting clays is a really good time especially if the weather is nice, it's relaxing and challenging. Steel challenge is a ton of fun and really easy. The high-power rifle match is awesome but it seems I always have something else to do that day so I miss most of them, that match goes quick to so you get a good amount of shooting and your home in time for lunch. Like I said all the matches and shotgun stuff is open to the public so check the website for the dates and come on out or if you want to get together during the week and do some shooting let me know.
  18. It's a lot different now, there are 5 big rifle/pistol ranges from 7-100 yards and a huge rifle range 50-200 meeters.
  19. Hi welcome to the forum. If you are or want to get into some competition shooting check out Quinton sportsmans club. We have 3 gun, uspsa, steel challenge and idpa, there is also sporting clays, trap, skeet and 5 stand all open to the public. There is alot of rifle matches too but I don't know much about them except for the high power match witch is a really good time, it's all knock down steel.
  20. Just shoot a steel challenge match, it's not as scary or hard as you think.
  21. One more thing, they have fireworks at the falls at night and the lights on the falls at night are pretty cool
  22. Just went a few weeks ago, my biggest tip is get a couple hundred bucks exchanged just for the restaurants. Most places will automatically do the exchange but restaurants won't so they get a $35 tip. There is an exchange a few blocks fromthe falls right in the middle of the tourestie stuff and one right on the othere side of peace bridge. Haven't been to either one so no idea if it's free or what. Just missed the one at peace bridge being open because the Canadian boarder people held us up for 3 hours. Coming back the American dude said like 2 words to us and waived us through. The hornblower is on the Canadian side and the maid of the mist is on the American side, they get a little offended when you call theirs the maid of the mist. The whirlpool thing is not what you would think but it's wort the drive if you stop along the way. The hiking trail there looks amazing but we didn't have time to do it. Lock everything up and don't let your guad down when in the hotel area, lot's of scumbags out there. If you like real cars there are a ton of them cruising around up there, Chevelles, Camaros, GTOs, Firebirds, vetts... Get some Tim Hortons birthday cake timbits
  23. That thing is awesome, almost motivates me to get to work on mine.
  24. Yeah and only $5 for a second gun. I think it's $22 for non members
  25. YeYeah The pre regeneration just closed but don't worry about that. Just show up tomorrow at 8:15am any you can shoot the match. 346 Jericho Road Quinton nj
