  1. Over the past few years my weight has started fluctuating more between warm and cold seasons. I got into the habit of buying pants with stretchy/adjustable waistbands.
  2. I like it! Is the LOP too long or short? If it's too short, a slip on gel recoil pad may help.
  3. Yep, Mexico is famous for its white supremacists (sarc-off). Unless this guy is connected to a dining club of baby eaters, he's gonna walk. Seriously, if I ever had to deal with something like that, I'd probably need a day or two to get my shit back together. It would be poetic justice if he gets snagged on the last shot, and his sentence was 100hrs community service teaching women self defense, or any of the plethora of "how not to be a victim" courses.
  4. THIS is the cornerstone. At the very least, the goal post needs to be placed back to where it was pre Bruen.
  5. Gaetz McCarthy house floor argument expained.
  6. So, I DL'd the video and watched it frame by frame from the point where the robbery victim pulls his gun and shoots. Criminal dude was pointing his darwin award gat at the guy sitting at the left nearest the door when the first shot was fired. The only thing I didn't like was that chill bro, the somewhat catatonic guy on the right sitting nearest the door may, and I stress may, because I wasn't behind the gun sights, may have been in the line of fire. @raz-0 Thank you for uploading the video. It's so stupid to age restrict videos, like your keyboard knows your age and has seen your birth certificate and somehow having an account verifies one's age.
  7. I found a source where I got to see most of the video, including all the shots, no pixelation. I'd like to see the entire video, starting with the criminal entering the taco place and the return of money. In my opinion, about the only thing the self defense guy is on the hook for is abuse of a corpse. Criminal dude was not in any position to be buying green bananas. I also read a few libtard posts on Twitter. People were saying he murdered the guy because he shot criminal dude in the back. He was on his way out, just there for the money, etc etc... Bull shit. As far as everyone knew, criminal dude was carrying a hot gat, and as long as that condition exists, ANYTHING could happen. Criminal dude was a threat right up to the very end, even if his back was turned. Nobody can say with any certainty if he was actually leaving.
  8. That shot was an "FU for making me kill you, you fake gun carrying asshole"
  9. Login required. Age wall Is there any way you can download it from the source as an MP4, then post the video file here?
  10. We all are, you are in good company.
  11. That would be J6. Today, January 9th is LE appreciation day.
  12. ORDERED That this TRO shall remain in effect pending a hearing and ruling on injunction.
  13. Clarification and a question. Can CC be prohibited in public funded places, excluding court houses, prisons etc. i.e. parks, libraries, parks where entertainment is performed? Does this ruling revert NJ CC the way it was [pre Bruen] when only the politically connected elite could carry?
  14. When it comes to upper receivers (just the receiver), I am partial to BCM. Their receivers are milspec with one exception, the barrel mount sleeves are trued (machined to a very precise right angle to the receiver), and very slightly undersized for a tight barrel fit. Id est, better than milspec. The snug fit and truing all but ensure a 1moa or better rifle, as long as you pair it with a decent barrel. I'm sure there are other upper receivers on par with BCM, but I can't tell you which ones.
  15. Buging-in is only a viable strategy for as long as the location is safe. You have to acknowledge that hunkering down may not be an option from the get go, or becomes unsustainable as time passes. Obviously the nature and severity of the event informs your decision, but at some point you may have no choice. There's bugging out, and then there's heading for the hills. Bug out is more of a short term plan. Your chances of surviving a disaster, calamity or riot go up exponentially if you can sustain yourself for 72 hours. Your BOB is just a little insurance that you hope you never have to use.
  16. Agreed. Not only smoother cycling, but also more real estate on the handguard. I wish I went with midi instead of carbine on my 16" M4gery.
  17. These days, about the only barrels that are true.223 spec are mostly seen on bolt actions, or old old uppers. On bolt action, .223 was intentionally kept for the tight chamber spec, which lends to greater accuracy. You will also see that slower twists like 12, 10 and 9 are still very popular in the varmint bolt guns that use 40gr to 55gr pills. 223 vs 556 can be confusing because sometimes the manufacturers add to it. For instance, Ruger's Mini-14 was chambered in 223 only, and also 556 in various models at various times. 223 Wylde, in my opinion, is just about perfect. It's a good balance between accuracy and giving both 5.56/.223 some wiggle room. Not that is really matters to the cartridge case, because 223 and 556 have identical external geometry. 5.56 chambering is meant for full auto reliability, not so much for accuracy.
  18. As it should be, it is a premium round with a premium price. Most folks shoot cheap 55gr milsurp, basically range fodder. There is no need to torture a 55gr bullet with excessive stabilization. Rifling turns forward motion into spin, that force takes energy away from velocity and turns it into accuracy robbing heat. If 1:7 was perfect for every 5.56/.223 bullet weight, then the industry would be making only 1:7 bbls. Why not just go with the 1:6.5 that is used with the Valkyrie, it's the same diameter bullet.
  19. My 1:8 18'bbl SPR shoots .33 moa with PPU factory 75gr otm ,and just slightly better with my hand loads using Hornady 75gr match. M193 shoots like 2.5 moa. they are both stabilized bullets. M193 shoots just over an inch in my 1:9 16"bbl M4gery. Basically, if 3moa or better with 55gr up to 77gr is the bar, then a 1:7 will be great. If you want to dial in accuracy, you have to match the twist to the bullet weight. Match shooters are obsessed with twist and rifling.
