  1. Absolutely! 1) it's rightly his turn to plan something - (HE, Griz and I are "covered" as previously mentioned), and 2) it's what any good politician would do, and 3) we'll all get to judge his various online claims for ourselves!
  2. I don't know... I think you're covering for him. I think he was unpopular in high school.. and he's been on a quest to "be loved" ever since Awwww...! Hence the whole "mod campaign". Now, YOU... Mrs. Zeek, on the other hand, you could DEFINITELY be a mod. You're smart, well-liked, unpretentious, you can clearly handle children (judging by how you handle your husband). Yeah, count myself as a "+1" for the "Mrs. Zeke for Mod Campaign." I think we can get some traction on this.
  3. I CANNOT even imagine... ! Seriously... just think of the stuff he posts on here: I'm handsome... I'm powerful... I should be a mod. Is he really all of those things? Or would you say he's... overcompensating for something?
  4. Now that you mention it... I believe HE, Griz and I are "off the hook" for ANY kind of event (either planning or attending)... for... OK maybe not 75 years.. but at least for a full year!
  5. Actually now that I'm thinking about it... I think this meetup was "rilly good" because your husband was NOT in attendance! Can you imagine the political grandstanding we would have all been subjected on his perpetual quest for Mod-dom?
  6. Oooo... Mrs. Z, I'm soooo sorry! I would have loved to have met you. Next time... ! (But is there a way you can leave you-know-who at home though?)
  7. OMG! What a perfect day/evening I had. I really must send a very big THANK YOU to Griz and High Exposure. Let me explain... first, Griz was kind and generous enough to invite me to join him at his range in Jackson to try a whole slew of different firearms... to start narrowing down my choices for Permit #2. Wow, I was like a kid in a candy store.... and I learned sooo much! The only bad part is, LOL, I'm more confused than ever about what I want to buy. I can see this is all a matter of trade-offs. Like the Glock was nice and light, which was a pleasure... but on the other hand, I felt like it was beating up my hand more than some of the heavier steel guns. I can see this is all a matter of personal preference and figuring out the trade-offs. Anyway, as we're chatting away with the people around us, of all the damn FLUKES, we find out we're talking to our very own: High Exposure!... who was there with a couple of buddies. Did you ever have one of those times when totally spontaneous plans just fall into place perfectly? Well, this was one of those times. We figured it was too late to post an announcement, so HE picked up his phone and just starts PMing people for a last minute happy hour. Soon enough, we have a surprisingly large group gathered at a very quaint local watering hold that Griz recommended! My life has been all about work and eldercare for the last year... so frankly, this was the first really relaxing time I've had in AGES. So, thank you both. What a perfect day! And it was really nice meeting all of the rest of you that were there. I'm only sorry that I had to cut out early so I could check in on my dad. Is the party still going on?
  8. Native. Born in Somerville. Raised in Bridgewater. Good, honest Taylor Ham Country!
  9. So sorry I tuned into this... now I have a major craving for a Po' Boy or some Jambalaya! One of the best "foodie" vacations I ever had was in New Orleans. Literally, every meal was better than the last... and they were all good. Wonderful city. Great food, great antiques, great architecture, great music. Of course, that was pre-Katrina. They've had such hard times since. Not really sure how much they've bounced back...?
  10. Oooooh, Oogabooga! (may I call you Oogabooga? or is it Mr. Oogabooga?)... I urge you to rethink this! Life is nothing more than a series of decision points. The choices you make at each juncture move you on the path to: joy and success... or turmoil and failure. You're already heading down the wrong path, son. Think again... there's still time to save yourself!
  11. Ah... but the disappointment is a 2-way street, HE. Did I mention that those pork roll lovin' Neaderthals were also glassy-eyed, slack-jawed and dimwitted? It gives me no pleasure to lay out the harsh facts, but... the rest of your post just draws more attention to your ancestral roots. Submarine, hoagie and outdoor faucet... all quite acceptable. I pity you... and any progeny that might carry those inferior Neanderthal genes.
  12. English accent is 20 bonus points... easy!
  13. Straight men are incredibly bad at judging the attractiveness of other men. Just an observation, for whatever it's worth!
  14. Don't let Gleninjersey, that evil-doer, walk you down a dark path from which no good will come. Fight with all of your strength against his attempt to drag you down to his level. The truth is: Only a lowly, dimwitted, knuckle-dragging Neanderthal eats pork roll. So, stand tall as you approach the counter, throw your shoulders back, hold your head high... and boldly say, "I'll have a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich, please." Accept no substitutes!
  15. NOT a Christian Bale fan..? Good gawd, Cereza... what are you, woman? A soulless, black-hearted heathen? Who doesn't like Christian Bale?? And here I thought you and I were well on our way to being Internet besties.... and then you go and say something like that. (sigh) However... you did manage to save yourself from complete humiliation IMO with the Nosferatu reference. What a creepy classic! A "must see" for any fan of the horror genre.
  16. Aaaahh... OK, I looked him up. I just wasn't putting Name with Face. Got it now. Yeah, I like him. Good actor.
  17. You're mocking The Prestige? Those are fightin' words. No, it wasn't Inception, but still... 2 tasty magicians in dark, atmospheric, Victorian London? Criminy... what's not to like? I say you have no soul, Cereza. No soul!
  18. Not as familiar with his work... I've been out of the movie-going routine recently. I'll take your word for it!
  19. Christopher Nolan is a terrific director - a real craftsman. And Kenneth Brannaugh is one of the best British actors working right now. So, yeah... it's probably going to be a great film.
  20. I use the NJSP. I requested 3 permits... and got 3 permits. No eyebrows raised. No questions. Did your barracks tell you otherwise? If so, maybe they're making it up? LOL. Or the person you dealt with was new... and ill-informed?
  21. Kinda new myself... so don't know exactly what an "ar pit" is...? But there's a 300 yard rifle range at Ontelaunee (about an hour west from you)... and I believe one at Cherry Ridge (maybe an hour and 20 northeast from you). There are shorter rifle ranges closer than that.
  22. I literally have NO CLUE what he's babbling about at this point. I will just... look away!
