  1. 92fs compact 2 tone -- half inox : ) Like new, hardly ever shot, comes with original box/paperwork and grips as well as xgrip. Very nice.
  2. Still available. This really is a nice compact 92fs. Hardly shot at all. Open to trades, it seems like a waste to leave this sitting in my safe.
  3. Ive decided to sell my compact beretta 92fs. Its a two tone model. I bought this new and have shot somewhere between 100 and 200 rounds through it. Has a few upgrades -- grips, xgrip magazine pinky extension, grey guns springs, skeletonized hammer. Its really nice, I bought it and added the upgraded with the intention of giving it to my daughter as a BD present but she prefers my wifes H&K so its up for sale. Located in Bergen county. Price is $750 including the original grips as well as the g10 grips. The first to post I'll take it gets it.
  4. Thanks for all of the information. Sounds like at this point I will just be learning and accumulating some of the needed equipment so I can get started once things loosen up a little.
  5. Are you saying the components arent available or that they are more expensive ? Which components are hard to find ? Yes I am serious
  6. Good morning all, over the last few years I have been debating getting into reloading and with the price and availability issues getting ammo these days I am thinking now is the time. Before I start buying equipment and supplies I wanted to verify that all necessary components are widely available these days to someone in NJ. I had heard that last year one of the contributing factors in factory ammo scarcity was that they could not keep up with the demand for primers. Supposedly that is no longer an issue and all components are available these days. So -- are all components I would need to start reloading readily available at decent prices these days ? I would like to start with 9mm and 45 and add calibers from there once I get some experience. I shoot almost every weekend and would like to be able to make 500-1000 rounds a month , depending on final net cost.
  7. Does anyone know if there are any legal issues with switching the stock out on a shockwave and replacing with a standard stock ? I dont see any reason it would be a problem but a neighbor says you arent allowed to do it in NJ. Anyone know of any reason it would not be legal ?
  8. I read that gun ranges are considered essential and can be open BUT the indoor ones would have a hard time with the distancing. IT seems like the outdoor ranges could be open allowing only every other port -- that would b like 12-15 feet apart at least. Sure would be nice to be able to get out a take some shots.
  9. I didnt realize it was a big deal and thought it could be done for ~~$50 locally. The barrel is 20" and I would like to cut it down to 18. If I cant find someone to do it at that price Ill just do it myself and take it to the range and see if accuracy is affected.
  10. was hoping there was local
  11. I have an ar15 barrel that had some minor damage to the end of the barrel. I'd like to have it cut down a few inches and recrowned. The only gunsmith I have any experience with was a guy in paterson but they couldnt even install a muzzle brake correctly, looking for recommendations for a gunsmith in the north east that can do it at a reasonable cost.
  12. Thanks but thats a little too far for me to make it in the morning.
  13. Anyone know of a shop that carries in stock small replacement parts for AR's. I need to pick up some gas rings, extractor springs... misc other ar parts. I need them for Saturday morning so I cant have them shipped. Anyone know where I could find them in stock near northern nj ?
  14. I do understand that, the point of my post was to try to get the people who arent really motivated about 2A issues to sign up. It may be cheating a little since they would most likely just sign up and never do another thing NRA related, but it would grow the membership numbers and that is what the politicians see. Most of the other events would only result in gun people taking action, i was trying to get the "gun visitor" to sign up to try to swell the numbers. Hopefully some would get more involved but even if they didnt -- membership growth would be noticed.
  15. I agree, I tried very hard to get my friends and amily motivated to vote against Phil but I dont think I had much impact. I already donate to several nj 2a organizations , the idea behind my post was that a large percentage of the people going to the public shooting ranges are probably not NRA members or supporting any @A organizations in any way. If we could get some significant portion of those people to sign up it would help to grow the membership numbers. As I said -- that is the only thing the politicians see-- If they see the NRA numbers rising they might actually pay attention.
  16. Anthony, I know that already do ALOT for 2A rights in NJ but was wondering if you have ever considered giving a some kind of discount at your range for new NRA members. Maybe one free rental or a free box of ammo to anyone who signs up for a new NRA membership. Its sort of like a self regulating thing, if no one signs up then you arent costing yourself anything, if alot of people sign up then you are surely having an impact. Your range in woodland park seems to attract a LOT of new shooters , possibly due to its location where it is so easy to get to from NYC or other major highways so I would guess that most of them are not NRA members. I dont support everything the NRA does or says but we need to try to grow the number of members -- that is the only thing the politicians care about or listen to. With the influence of social media these days and the biased news coverage we need to try to push back as a group, an the NRA is by far the largest group we have. Not trying to give away your livelihood but if we dont find a way to stop the recent trend it wont be long until all gun ranges in NJ are only an old memory. We will all be telling our grandchildren about how we remember when a free law abiding citizen of NJ could actually to go a public range and shoot their legally owned firearm.
  17. I sent a note of thanks to the mossberg contact but I was wondering if anyone has a contact for someone at Dicks corporate headquarters , I would also like to send an email to Dcks explaining that I will no longer be buying anything from them and why. I have a teenage son and daughter and between them and me we buy all kinds of things from Dicks -- football/soft ball/golf/boating/sneakers/clothing/camping ........ TONS of stuff. Ever since I heard about Dicks decision I stopped shopping at Dicks, with Sports Authority out of business it is definitely a pita for me but I refuse to support them . It is inconvenient but I think I have actually ended up saving money since when I order something online I only order what I intended to but when I used to go to Dicks I would always end up buying other unrelated stuff I saw along the way, Anyway -- Im sure Dicks wont care but it would make me feel better to at least let them know. If anyone has any contact info please post it.
  18. After having attended todays rally I must say it was extremely disappointing seeing how many people showed up. I thought Anthony did a great job but both my wife an I were shocked at the size of the crowd. I understand that not everyone has the luxury of taking off of work to attend these things but there were only a few hundred people there. It appears that gun rights are basically a lost cause in this state. Both my wife and I have always tried to support the various second amendment advocacy groups here and we do take the time to write our legislators and urge our friends to do the same. Based on todays turn out we cant help but feel that we have just been wasting our time and money. We I would like to say thank you to Anthony for trying to light a fire and get people motiviated but New Jerseys gun owners just dont care enough to put forth even the smallest effort to defend their rights. Sad but true.
  19. There must be some way to motivate NJ gun owners. The response to this on this and other forums is very weak imo. If we dont speak up and stand up for our rights we will surely lose them. With Murphy and the rest of the anti gun politicians firmly in pace here it wont be long until we are all looking back on the old days when you could actually own a gun in NJ. I dont understand why more NJ gun owners arent more motivated to speak up, most of the guys I know are constantly complaining about the gun laws here but dont do anything to try to change them Any suggestions ? .
  20. Anyone know of any good deals on an inexpensive -- $500 ar at a NJ based gun shop ? Was hoping to be able to find something decent at a holiday sale but so far no luck. Willing to travel pretty much anywhere in the state if anyone knows of any good deals. Happy Holidays to all !!
  21. Wow some real militants here. You all seem to want it to be true so much that you are willing to accept anything that seems to prove your point. My future freedom is very very important to me. The point of the post was that on the PA government website firearms information section. It states that those agreements only apply to those people with residency in those states. Based on most of the replies -- there is no reason for that text to appear there. You all are convinced that the only thing that matters is that the NH reciprocity agreement doesnt mention residency while some other do. And that since it does not mention it and those others do it must mean that it does not apply to the NH permit. That seems like a weak premise to base your future freedom on.. The text I copied and pasted is on the site and is part of the section that talks about PA's reciprocity agreements. Not sure how anyone can read the following on the PA GOV firearms info site and not at least question it. from "https://www.psp.pa.gov/firearms-information/Pages/Carrying-Firearms-in-Pennsylvania.aspx" How can I find the most recent information regarding Firearm Reciprocity Agreements? In 1995, the Pennsylvania General Assembly gave the Attorney General the authority to enter into reciprocity agreements with other states providing for the mutual recognition of each state’s license to carry a firearm. The most current information concerning what states have reciprocity agreements with Pennsylvania is posted on the Attorney General’s website. To access this information on their web site, select “Crime” and from the drop down box select “Firearm Reciprocity”. From here you can view all the states that currently have reciprocity agreements with Pennsylvania along with a copy of the actual reciprocity agreements. All licenses issued by reciprocity states are recognized in Pennsylvania. Other information included under “Firearm Reciprocity” is a list of states that allow individuals to carry concealed weapons in their state as long as they have a valid concealed weapons permit from their home state, regardless of whether or not there is a reciprocity agreement with that state. These states usually require the individual to have the actual permit and photo ID on their person while carrying the weapon. Note that to lawfully carry a concealed firearm in Pennsylvania, a person must either: 1 - possess a valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms, 2 - maintain residency in, and possess a valid license/permit to carry a firearm from a state with which Pennsylvania has a current reciprocity agreement or 3 - fall within the applicable exceptions in 18 Pa. C.S. §6106(2)(b) as listed above, including §6106(2)(b)(15) regarding licenses/permits to carry a firearm recognized under Pennsylvania law without a formal reciprocity agreement. Mods -- feel free to delete this post and my ID. Good luck and I hope you all stay out of jail.
