  1. For jeans I typically wear my regular size. i'm a 32 waist, and the only time my jeans are 'tight' is when they're right out of the dryer, so if I'm going to carry I just make sure that I have them on for a few minutes first. It's hard to find 33 waist pants and 34 is jsut too big.
  2. So your question isn't really about concealed carry with a suit jacket, it's concealed carry with a tucked dress shirt. Others have mentioned inside waistband (IWB) 'tuck' holsters. Lots of manufacturers have them. There's also the Urban Carry brand holsters that are totally hidden -
  3. I'll pass on that. Anyone who gets a permit from PD has no guns listed, so I don't see any value in spending $150 a pop when it's not required.
  4. Glad to hear you were successful. Did you take care of things via e-mail, or did you use regular mail to get the information to the court? My concern with regular mail is that it's easy for things to get lost in the shuffle and sit on people's desks for a while before any action is taken.
  5. I plan to do this next week. I'll update if I get a response.
  6. Oh, I know it's done, I just think it's absurd It's just a way for the nanny state to continue to micro-manage the population at every possible turn. It's asinine to require individual firearms certification for ANYONE in my opinion (but that's a topic that goes on for MANY pages back and forth).
  7. It's New Jersey. The political class likes to impose as many barriers as possible on the citizenry.
  8. Up for sale is my Henry Golden Boy lever rifle in .22lr/short. VERY fun, accurate and cool rifle. I purchased this gun in 2018 from the original owner. He said that he only had one range trip with it, so it was essentially new. I used it to teach my four kids to shoot and for several outing at the .22 plinking range at Cherry Ridge. Let's say 2000 +/- rounds from them. The action is great and the rifle has a good weight to it, so there's pretty much no recoil (like most .22's). There are some scuffs to the wood on the right side of the rifle (you can see in the pics). We didn't realize that the rifle next to it in the safe was bumping it each time it went in and out. Otherwise there have never been any drops/damage or failures of any kind. The brass has always been covered by the original sock it came with, so it's in great shape. Unlike a semi-auto, the lever action runs any kind of .22 ammo you have (including .22 short) so it's a great way to use up the "leftover" container that's sitting around. Here's what the Henry people say: "It features a blued octagonal barrel, American walnut stock, brass buttplate with a gleaming Brasslite receiver and barrel band. Adding to the historic authenticity is the adjustable buckhorn-type rear sight. It balances well and makes for highly accurate offhand shooting. The smooth action associated with Henry rifles opens and shuts with the effortless slickness and left-handed shooters can safely use any of Henry's lever action rifles." Sale includes: - Henry Golden Boy .22lr/short lever rifle - Original box and sock (that covers the brass) Price is $425. The ONLY trade I'd do is for a H&K P30SK (which I'll be buying after selling a few things off) plus cash on my part (obviously). First person to post they'll take it and follows up via PM will win. You must have matching NJ FID and Drivers license Transfer fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I'm in North Jersey so I'd prefer to meet at FFS, Reloaderz, Gun for Hire, RTSP Randolph or another range that's reasonably close to the Wayne, NJ area. Thanks.
  9. I think both are interesting options. Definitely worth testing if there are feed issues with hollow points.
  10. Could be an issue with the adapter. I presume you're using it so you can run longer magazines, but it could be causing alignment to be off a little. Interesting to see your results on other HP ammo...
  11. Thanks Steve. I suspected as much. I'm planning to order a pistol that will be right around 90 days, so hopefully it's a moot point.
  12. I'm almost embarrassed to ask this, but I got a purchase permit in early January, and I have no idea when it expires? Is it valid for 90 days and then automatically extended, or do i have to take action to extend it? I have no idea how to even look these things up. Thanks.
  13. While the article doesn't explicitly state it, it seems like those are loaded rounds, not just bullet heads.
  14. Video guy i annoying, but he does a side by side comparison of Critical Duty vs Critical Defense in ballistics gel: https://rumble.com/v1ucfrh-does-barrel-length-matter-hornady-critical-duty-vs-critical-defense-revisit.html
  15. I hope you'll at least use it to practice at the range. Even if you get additional jams, you'll get the opportunity to drill clearing the gun. (I had a .22 conversion slide on a Tanfoglio pistol that my daughter used for action shooting. The thing would occasionally jam, so she got LOTS of practice clearing failures. When she moved up to 9mm she was already an expert at clearing the gun)
  16. Always a good idea to run the ammo you'll be using through your pistols. Have you ever run hot rounds through your pistols before? CD is snappier than regular factory loads, so if your grip isn't used to it you could have been limp-wristing. I've never heard of Glock's having issues with CD, so it sounds like something particular to your gun. I use Critical Duty 135 gr without issue in multiple pistols, so maybe give that a try.
  17. Unless there are pistols listed on your permit or listed in a court order, the police won't have access to what you qualified for at the time of a stop. That means that if you're carrying a permit with 'no restrictions' and no guns listed, you're good to go. At a traffic stop it doesn't matter how well versed on gun laws (or not) the police may be, there's no latitude for them to do anything. Beyond that you could say "well cops can do whatever they want..." but that's true in any situation.
  18. Added pics. Happy to include more if anyone is interested.
  19. Up for sale is my Kel-Tec Sub2000 9mm in Tan color. It's setup for Glock 17 magazines. Absurdly fun, functional, and foldable pistol caliber carbine. I purchased this gun New from Ottomanelli's in 2018 and it's been stored in my gun safe (when not in use at the range). No guess on the number of rounds through it, but I've used it for a few Steel Challenge matches, Knockdown Steel, and plinking/target practice at the range a few times a year. I've fired just about everything through it EXCEPT steel cased ammo (I don't believe in it) including round nose, FMJ, polymer coated, hollow points, factory, reloads, 115gr, 124gr, 147rg, and there were no failures. Sale includes: - Sub2000 rifle - Upgraded Mcarbo aluminum trigger (already installed) - Cheap Chinese red/green combo optic from Amazon (about 5 years old and still going) - Monstrum quick-detach mount/riser - Magpul XTM hand stop kit - Small picatinny rail section on side (for mounting light/laser) - My 'custom' cheek and butt pads (pipe insulation and electrical tape) - Beat-up green backpack that I use to transport to range - original Kel-Tec cardboard box (not pictured but I'll get it from the basement) - 1 Glock 17 10-round magazine (I assume buyer will already have plenty) Asking $400/obo. The ONLY trade I'd do is for a H&K P30SK (which I'll be buying after selling a few things off) plus cash on my part (obviously). First person to post they'll take it and follows up via PM will win. I'm in North Jersey so I'll meet at FFS, Reloaderz, Gun for Hire, or another range that's reasonably close to the Wayne, Nj area. Not really interested in shipping. Absolutely contact me with any questions!! Thanks. Uploading files soon
