Hows your Mesa side saddle holding up? I hear constant reviews about the shell retainers getting loose. Thinking of going the velcro option, I like the interchangeability factor of having velcro cards loaded up with shells ready to smack on if needed. Plus if a card gets loose, pretty cheap to just buy another one with snugness. But...that mesa does look cooool haha

Just wondering if anyone has tried shooting this yet and a stretch here on thoughts of its reliability in Mossberg 500/590? -
Hey Newt, I've been thinking about picking up an AK in the near future and had been deciding between the C39V2 and the SAM7R...have you had a chance to shoot alot of rounds with your SAM7R? Hows it holding up?

I am eagerly awaiting 1 more week till my 30 day wait runs out to pick up a Sig p226 legion SAO. But I'm concerned with the hundreds of "finish" issues, apparently that PVD coating is sub-par that Sig was putting on these legion pistols. Curious to see how yours is holding up? (i'm hoping these issues were just from an early release batch) I know they are meant to be used and I think of my pistols as tools but some of the pics I have seen are outirght horrendous and IMO should not occur within your first few weeks for a $1k+ pistol.

Just bought a Colt LE 6920 magpul furniture and this will be my first optic. I hope I can get the hang of both eyes open. Wish me luck -
dumb ques, does Hornady Critical Defense (9mm in particular) ever go on sale? Been wanting to buy in bulk but dont know if I should hold out for "better prices" than what I'm seeing day-to-day which is about ~$18-19/box of 25.

Guns Shops Reviews - Good and Bad
peacewalker replied to ARNut's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
Ottomanelli's - The GOOD they have a really sweet inventory, they seem to get in guns that are top of the line and heavily coveted. The BAD thing is the absurd prices! Easily $50 (or closer to $100)+ more than most places for the same gun. IMO, nice to look around and staff is knowledegable but just horrible, horrible pricing. Luciano's Guns and Ammos - small store, literally in the neighborhood. Small selection but GREAT pricing. I know if I spend money here, I am getting a whole lot of value! Wish they had more selection, but maybe its a good thing for my wallet. On my list to check out: Caso's in Jersey City. from this thread, it looks like a good place. I've talked on the phone about pricing on a few guns and they seem very reasonable and friendly. -
Thanks for all the suggestions in this thread. Just picked up a 1000 rounds of 9mm luger CCI Blazer Brass 124 gr for $199 Just bought a new Walther PPQ M2 last week so looking to squeeze in as much range time I can in the next few months.
