Waiting time

I live in Garfield,N.J. went to the police station and filled all necessary paperwork and went and had fingerprints done. And was told that I would hear something within 90 days.Just wondering is this the normal waiting time. Thanks

for permit to purchase? or for firearms id card? if id card, it took me 8 months. i've been waiting 3 months now for ccw. but then again, i had somne things going on that caused me to be super slow getting fingerprinted, so i can really only blame 2 months of the wait on my pd......
