mjsemtex 0 Posted October 3, 2009 i have been interested in the 7.62x39 version of this rifle for some time now. i can't recall where it was i first heard / read about it though. something about a bolt action carbine length rifle in that caliber just seems fun. http://cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-527-carbine/

mjsemtex 0 Posted October 6, 2009 Thanks alot Matt, Excellent review! Just what I was hoping too hear. It is officially on the list. glad to help. one of these in 7.62x39 has been on my 'list' for some time now... i keep putting it off with thoughts that gas guns are going to disappear faster than bolt guns might in future legislation. pretty dumb reasoning because every time i read about it i remember how much i want one. Caine 147 Posted October 6, 2009 I should really stop reading gun forums... my list of "it would be cool to have" guns keeps growing and growing and growing. That CZ looks like a really handy little shooter!
mjsemtex 0 Posted October 6, 2009 the 'worst' thing i've read about it is that it can be difficult to get scope rings to fit the base they use. i'm not sure of the specific details and some information seems to indicate that CZ should / does ship it with rings. personally, considering i'm not going to be putting anything besides wolf / brown bear through it i can't really expect more than 'minute of torso'... open sites would probably be just fine.
