DoctorSig 0 Posted March 24, 2010 Hey guys, I'll be moving to a different town within NJ, and I was wondering if there is some kinda of time frame by which I have to change the address on my FID card and do I have to register my weapons with the new municipality? Thanks

Thanks I believe it's 30 days to update your FPID if you don't want to go through the whole initial process again. And NO, do not register your firearms, you are not legally required to, and there is no reason to.
OceanTactical 0 Posted March 24, 2010 If you have any handguns legally registered, those records will follow you.

I was told by Franklin PD, after moving from Piscataway, that I would have to go through the entire process again, regardless of time frame.
