Looking for a new autoloader for goose hunting, thinking about a Remington Versa Max, like this:

Takes 3.5" shells, seems to be a very nice shotgun. Anyone here have any actual, hands-on experience with it?

I'm taking tomorrow off to head to Cabelas, since I have a 10% coupon (and which doesn't exclude firearms, as they sometimes do). If I like the way this shotgun feels I'm going to buy it. Goose hunting season is getting close!

Pick a shotgun that fits you best, not so much by its chamber length. 3" guns are still viable for goose & duck with the right loads. Good luck in your search tomorrow.

I bought one on my trip to Cabela's on Friday. Managed to shoot at 25 clay birds at the WMA on Saturday right before the rain, and hit 21, so it works and doesn't reduce my shooting ability, anyway. More data later, but I love the way this shotgun feels. It is amazing.

That gun is in my future. I bought the 887 and then that came out a month later
