CAPTBIL3 10 Posted February 26, 2013 I want to ship a handgun back to the manufactuer for MODS. The Manufacturer doesn't provide shipping. My question is what is the cheapest way to send it back to the manufacturer?
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted February 26, 2013 Through an FFL who will send it USPS. Cheaper, even with the FFL's fee, than sending it yourself via UPS or FedEx, as with those it must go via air (their policy - not law). Adios, Pizza Bob
dtown223 12 Posted February 26, 2013 If you're friendly with an FFL that may be your cheapest option. FFL's can ship via USPS, when you are limited to FedEx or UPS overnight. I've used an FFL twice to ship back to a manufacturer and it was WAY cheaper than doing it myself
Atlas 0 Posted June 21, 2013 Once it's sent back to the manufacturer for repairs can it be sent directly back to me or does in need to be sent to an FFL?
mikeyjones 88 Posted June 21, 2013 Once it's sent back to the manufacturer for repairs can it be sent directly back to me or does in need to be sent to an FFL? If it's repaired and the "firearm" portion of it doesn't receive a new serial number then it can be shipped directly back to you. If it needs to be replaced, it must go through a ffl.
