  1. Who's in for tomorrow night? In another thread there were talks of a 22lr night. Seeing I dont own any 22lr firearms YET, I was thinking of bring out some boom sticks & planning on getting there around 8pm. Let me know whos going and if anyone with a GSG 1911 22lr could make it I will gladly bring a bulk box of your choice if I could but some down range with it! -Scott
  2. Great Jon thanks! Any ideas as too when you think your permits will be in? -Scott
  3. I think they did the right thing. They followed policy and detained the suspect, once the gun was produced and threatened their lives they reacted, and reacted in the right manner in my opinion. I agree with the statement, "rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6" BUT....in this day in age to be judged by 12 means you have to be judged by all the fruit loops out there that want their "friendly" "go-green" "eco-friendly" agendias passed but dont want to deal with the situations that may arise. Good job done by these employees...should they have lost their jobs over it? No...should they sue over it? NO...by suing over this makes them just like the rest of the sue happy assholes in todays society. They saved their lives and POSSIBLY the lives of others. People cant always look at the what if, consider the now. They saved lives...period. Walmart fired them....oh well....screw walmart and go find another job. I sure as **** would put on my application at my next job that I did what was required of me UNTIL a weapon was presented and I did what I had to do to protect myself and my fellow employees and was fired for it. If you dont like that I will gladly apply elswhere. -Scott
  4. I'm game! Is there anyone with a GSG 1911-22 thats willing to join the club!?!?!?!? -Scott
  5. a 22lr. day at SS for next tuesday would be great! Im definitely in! I currently own a Ruger SR9 and a Glock 22 40cal. I'm very interested in the GSG but have yet to shoot one. SS had one that they were renting but it is currently out being service. If anyone could bring a GSG 1911 22lr. I would really appreciate it! And yes I would love to shoot everyones S&W 15-22's! Thanks for all the info and help guys! -Scott
  6. Thanks for being such a GREAT help Tim! lol...I still need to give you my 20ga. so you can go through it. Last time I took that and my 12ga. to the range NEITHER wanted to fire. Back to the purchase at hand!!! Who has both of these and wants to meet up at SS or BA!?!?!?! -Scott
  7. I have wanted to jump into the world of 22lr but havent decided what route to take. In the passed I liked the Ruger MK series. I always wanted a 1911 but never had the money for one. Now there are 22lr 1911's! Seems like killing two birds with one stone right? I have been drawn to the GSG 1911 22lr. for its great looks and rave reviews compared to the Chiappa/puma model. I was pretty set on buying a GSG 1911 but still needed to test fire one and get the funds together. As of late I keep seeing people at the range and on this forum really enjoying there 22lr AR rifles and now THATS on my mind! HELPPPP!!!!! I cant decide between an AR style 22lr (most likely the S&W 15-22) or a GSG 1911 22lr. Any words of wisdom or advice? Anyone own both guns and is willing to let me try them both and wants to meet up at a local range? I have yet to fire either weapon and maybe thats all I need to do to decide. Any help is greatly appreciated! -Scott
  8. WOW....great video! Thanks for sharing! -Scott
  9. I know I mention this everytime I renew or apply for new handgun permits but I believe Berkeley Twp has to be the WORST!! Im almost at the two month mark waiting for 3 handgun permits. My references didnt recieve their letters from the PD till a month after I turned in my paperwork and they both sent them back the same day. This town is nuts! I wonder if its even worth it to call the Police Chief? With all the cutbacks and layoffs im sure all I will here is that its not a priority and they dont have the man power. Sorry for venting but its very frustrating. I thought after waiting almost six monthes for my FID and initial handgun permits the long wait tims would be over but I was definitely wrong! -Scott
  10. CRAP!!! I never got my notification email that there were responses.....ugh..... Hope you guys had a good night. -Scott
  11. Anyone going tonight??? -Scott
  12. I take it this applies for long guns as well as handguns? What if someone was to be in Pa. could they pick up a long gun and take it home or does that have to be shipped to a NJ FFL? -Scott
  13. You are correct....thanks for the heads up Jon! -Scott
  14. Wasnt locked in to anything yet. Still working on the "honey Do list"....havent made much of a dent in it so far... Post back here if you get the car dug out n we will see if I get caught up. -Scott
  15. Im off from work today and was thinking about heading over to SS. Anyone interested? -Scott
  16. no as long as you dont sell the car and there is no need for another title it shouldnt cost anymore to re-register at a later date. -Scott
  17. Thats great to hear! I was amazed by their selection when I was there for my membership as well John. Nice range of goods to pick from! -Scott
  18. As mentioned above, had an active warrant and was also involved in a Lakewood murder back in Oct. that I was still being investigated. He was also charged today for his involvement in that murder. So lets summerize.... 2 murder charges, weapons charges, gang affiliation all at the ripe old age of 19?!?!? Not sure if everyone heard but not only did he shot this officer 3 times but he took his first shot, stepped right up to the window and took two more shots! Shoot once and run away...ok people may say he was scared or whatever, but to shoot and hit the officer, step up to the window and fire two more times! This kid doesnt deserve to still be breathing let alone live off tax dollars for the rest of his life. Sorry, had to mention that.....stepping off my soap box now. -Scott
  19. Yeah roads in Lakewood are clear....still at work so I wont get to go to the range after all.... Always something going on. It should be no problem for me to make it tuesday nights every other week...we have rotating schedules so every other week I leave earlier. Have fun! -Scott
  20. You guys still going tomorrow, tues 1/18 @ 7pm? I might be able to swing that or even a bit later would work too. I finally got my membership for SS so its time to rack up the range hours! -Scott
  21. Thats great news! Good job to all the law enforcement agencies that were involved with bringing this criminal to justice. -Scott http://www.app.com/article/20110116/NEWS/110116006/Lakewood-murder-suspect-caught
  22. Just heard about this....terrible day....my thoughts any prayers go out to the family & Lakewood P.D. -Scott
  23. I have a buddy that has gotten things stolen from him twice at two different addresses. He works long/weird hours so he cant be around to sign for things but the delivery companies both times didnt make any effort to hide the packages. They were both left out in plan site. No he has to have them left at the depot and go pick up packages whenever he has the nice stickers on his door. -Scott
