  1. For what it's worth, I actually called Ruger and asked about this a few years ago. The "K" refers to stainless steel. The "F" and "RF" refer to folding stocks. The "5" refers to the 5 round magazine. On the models shown the Ruger website, the ones with the "P" all have polymer stocks, so I'm assuming that's what the P stands for. At any rate, if you're in the market for a Ruger Mini-14/Ranch Rifle, Arms-N-Ammo always has good prices on them when he gets them in.
  2. +1 I've never had any type of negative experience in Paul's shop. His prices are more than reasonable and he always goes out of his way to make the customer happy.
  3. PK90 (Arms-n-Ammo) has one in stock for $450. He's right next to Williamstown in Winslow Township. I'd highly recommend doing business with him!
  4. I actually saw that on one of the websites I was looking at, Paul. How do you like it? I was considering this one (Simmons 3-9x40 Blazer Rifle Scope).
  5. Thank you so much for the guidance, guys. I really appreciate it! I felt so lost looking through the various types of scopes that are out there, so the specifications (like 3-9 x 40) really helped. I'm going to shop around and see what I find! Thanks again.
  6. Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice regarding a scope for my Ruger Ranch Rifle (Mini 14). I've never purchased a scope before and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I was poking around on Cheaper Than Dirt and the Cabela's website, but wasn't exactly sure what I was looking at when it came to quality, etc. I'm not looking for anything too extravagant; just something that works well and fits in the scope rings that came with the rifle. Thanks!
  7. Thanks a lot for the advice guys, I really appreciate it. For the price, I might order one and see how it functions before ordering more.
  8. Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with ProMag magazines. I was thinking of getting this 15 round mag for the Ruger P90 that I just got from Paul at Arms-N-Ammo, and wanted to see if they were reliable or pieces of junk before I ordered one. Thanks!
  9. VERY excited about Bryzgalov. No more goalie carousel!
  10. Welcome from Gloucester County. Nice to see another Flyers fan on the forum!
  11. I own a Traditions Kentucky Rifle (Flintlock) that I bought from Arms-n-Ammo. It's surprisingly accurate, and a lot of fun to shoot!
  12. Hey 7-3-2 PK90, one of the FFL's here on the forum, made up a handy reference sheet that gives you information regarding both purchasing and selling firearms legally as a resident of New Jersey. It can be found in this thread, which is a sticky near the top of the NJ Gun Laws section of the forum: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9657-firearm-purchasing-requirements-as-it-applies-to-nj-resident/ As a NJ resident, you could sell a shotgun that you currently own to another NJ resident. The buyer would need to have a valid FPID, and you both would need to fill out the Certificate of Eligibility. (Buyer and Seller would each keep a copy of the Certificate, and photo ID is suggested.)
  13. Man, that's a nice shotgun. Congrats on the purchase, enjoy!
  14. Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. Tommy3rd and KpdPipes, I didn't even think of that. That's probably the most likely answer, although it is kinda weird that they'd put it right on the card. And yeah, when I googled it I got the air filter for the Ford Taurus too, haha.
  15. Merry Christmas!!! "Joy to the World, the Lord is come, let earth receive her King!"
  16. Personally, I'd go with the Maverick 88 and the Hi-Point 995. I have both guns, and they are both very reliable. I know some people knock Hi-Points, but I've never had any kind of issues with mine with around 1k rounds through it. Best part is, you could easily get both of them for around $475 total. (I paid $239 for my Maverick 88 and $225 for my Hi-Point Carbine.)
  17. Hey guys! On the back of my FID Card, there is a code next to the "Distinguishing Physical Characteristics" label that reads "FA-1630". Other FID cards I have seen have information regarding tattoos, scars, etc. (or are simply labeled as "none" if there are no distinguishing physical characteristics), so I'm kind of at a loss when it comes to figuring out what it means. Have any of you ever seen anything like that before, or have any idea what "FA-1630" means? Just thought it was weird that mine is so out of the ordinary, lol. Thanks! BTW, I've googled it many times and haven't found anything relevant.
  18. Figured I would mention that Wal-Mart has Winchester Bowie Knives on sale right now for $19. I'm not sure if they're available at every location, but I have seen them at the Deptford, Woodbury, and Turnersville stores here in Jersey. It looks really nice, and is rather large. Comes with a nylon sheath. Not sure how well it holds up when used, but the reviews I've seen online seem pretty favorable.
  19. If the date you posted (09/10/2010) is the date your permit was issued, 90 days after 09/10/2010 would be 12/9/2010 (If I counted correctly on the calendar!). It usually doesn't take much to get it extended though, just go to your local police department and have the chief sign off on the extension.
  20. Thanks for the advice guys! That Browning Bowie is amazing looking. Probably above what I'm willing to spend, but amazing nonetheless. The Cabela's Outfitter Bowie would be a more inexpensive buy, and it looks sharp too! I'm getting it for decoration more than anything, so it doesn't have to be something too extravagant. Guys Jim Bowie have always interested me. He's a true American hero, and it'd be cool to have a replica of his famed knife in my collection.
