  1. I shoot a MKII TR at CJRPC. I'l set steel up on the back burms and ring it all day. There's nothing more gratifying than hitting a 12"x12" plate at 300 yards. People really underestimate .22LR for anything past 50 yards....... I shoot this rifle more than any other, it's great!
  2. It was a really good course, learned alot! The instructors were great, very knowledgeable and funny. Can't wait to take Urban Carbine 2!
  3. You'll need a passport no matter what. Leaving out of Manhattan is really cool, and an easy drive. I prefer Carnival, their ships food and excursions are great. If this is your first cruise, I would recommend getting a balcony on the back corner of the ship. They are the longest balconies for a few dollars more. Canada is nice this time of year and better fits your time frame. Google Peggy's Cove, it's near Halifax. beautiful. Good luck!
  4. Hello, I'm in Monmouth county and converted to gas. I have a 275 FO tank for a reasonable price if interested. I will email pics....
  5. Hey, I'm gonna hijack this thread. Matt- when will the GSSF final scores be posted? That's it. Have fun today, I won't be able to make it. This is Chris from Monday nights.
  6. I read the same article today. Its surprising they published a pro gun article, I guess the editor liked "Shooter" a lot too. Stephen Hunter is the only author I really enjoy. He paints a detailed picture.
  7. The NRA is a non-profit organization. The general public is allowed the complete list if names and addresses of all members of all non-profit organizations. This is a federal law. One reason is to keep a non-profit organization financially proper, I.E. you have x amount of members, cost of dues, and you (or anyone) could make sure the balance is legit, for audit purposes...Even audit info is publicly accessible.
  8. Well, for those of you that were at the last meeting, you know that the BOD said they have enough funds to build ten berms, and the last 3 will be built when thy have more funding. They plan to use high density hay bales to let the action shooters do their thing. Lastly, I agree with MAKSIM:"Money. There is a finite amount of it at the bank. All of this fun stuff costs a pretty penny. It is stupid not to consider prices going up..... alot." The president himself said he would be the one leading AGAINST a raise in dues....ASSESSMENTS anyone?"Section 6. Should the Directors, by a majority vote, determine that an assessment over and above the annual dues be required, the amount of the assessment shall be affirmed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the regular members present and voting at a regular or special meeting, for which notice shall be sent at least ten (10) days prior to the meeting. The assessment, if approved, shall be levied upon all regular members. Notice of the amount of the assessment shall be sent to the general membership and shall be payable not later than ninety (90) days from the date of notice. Members who have not paid the assessment within the prescribed time will have their membership terminated, will forfeit all paid-up dues and will surrender their membership credentials." "4. Honorary members shall have all the rights and privileges of Regular members, except no assessments or dues shall be levied against them, nor shall they have the right to vote or to hold office." So who does this affect? All of the members who do not hold office.
  9. I've been to the last several meetings. The whole project completion sounds like it will take months. Permits anyone? The new walls planed are not designed for action pistol (i.e. cowboy action, uspsa, steel, etc). The one thing that really struck home was the fact that the club has to get on the Jackson zoning board for pit reconstruction (walls) permits, and after plan and proposal gets accepted, it will be 45 days before Jackson can even issue the reconstruction permit. So, we have all the pinelands issues, and town issues; you do the math. It's such a shame. If only they could start and finish one job at a time, so we would have a place to shoot. I hope CJRPC will be ready and not have to cancel the big shoots, such as GSSF, and Cowboy Action State Championships.
  10. Does anyone know if non members are welcome to shoot competitions at MCRPC? I just checked out their website and they offer bowling pin matches, which sounds like fun...
  11. You should check out Miller's in Delaware. I bought a Browning XS Skeet from them a couple years ago, and Delaware is a tax free state.
  12. The best club in New Jersey-Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol!
