  1. So I was on another forums and a member stated that Michael Carroll has got some plans for 2010 in terms of projects to sway public opinion to be more pro gun and that he needs donations. So I figured I'd get the word out. Doesnt have to be much, 5 bucks here whenever you can will add up. I plan on donating a bit every month. For the cost of say a coffee once a week we can help a good man do his part in fighting for our gun rights. If even 100 of us donates like 20 bucks a month thats 2000 a month that'll go towards the fight for our rights. I don't know about the rest of you, but after feeling like the NRA abandoned hope in NJ, I trust my money with Mr. Carroll more. Get the word out! http://www.michaelcarroll.com
  2. wow, bohica, what an awesome name
  3. i know, i'm just saying i wish i got it when i could. now im on the hunt again. not like i could buy it right now anyway, with christmas on the way.
  4. if your interested i got a thread goin in marketplace. i'm still on the lookout for a g26 by the way!
  5. hey mike if you really want one you can buy mine =)
  6. sweet rifle, i just love ars =)
  7. Have you tried a cold shower? Seriously though, that I would do when my brother had the same issue is I would tell him im loading snap caps into his mag, but I wouldnt tell him which round or how many snap caps. After a while he saw that on the snap caps he would jerk the gun forward. So after a bit of practice you just gotta think all about pulling the trigger, and not anticipate any recoil.
  8. another one from the collection.... the upper right right pissed me off to no end...
  9. actually i found a certain brand of polymer 10 round mags for the wasr, if you take the follower out you can cut it rather easily and it will fit 15 rounds max!
  10. I've seen posts like this on other forums so I figured I'd start one here! Post your targets, doesnt matter what gun or distance, take your best shot! here's mine, shot at 25 yards, circled shots are from the glock23, square shots are from the glock19!
  11. I know that to buy a pistol the procedure is to have the PA FFL send the gun to your NJ FFL to do a transfer. My question is, since registration is voluntary in NJ, where is it in the law that says we can't just buy a pistol in PA and bring it home?
  12. all i shoot in my stag and noveske is wolf. i same my brass ammo for the zombies =P but in all seriousness, i usually just use wolf for my range trips and the quality ammo when im doing shooting long range and zero-ing. never had an issue with wolf yet, no FTF,FTE, nothing
  13. sighs, i guess all in all thats not too bad. thanks guys
  14. so anyone with the consensus of a grand being the rough value?
  15. yeah, sadly i may have to agree with mauser, upgrades doesnt seem to help as much in terms of value retained, depends on the accessory I suppose. again, depends on the buyer
  16. oh dont worry, if i do sell it im getting something more beautiful =)
  17. I got an AR and i'm not selling until i get an idea of what the goin rate on the market would be. Here are the details: Stag model 2 (permanently fixed stock and break) YHM Free float (with end cap for a cleaner look) Troy back up sight. anti rotating pins magpul grips immaculate condition (cleaned and lubed after every range trip) 9-13" harris bipod. four 10 round mags. I was hoping to try the appraisal link but it doesnt seem to work. Keep in mind this is just to get an idea of the going rate and is NOT for sale (yet). If this post is against the rules in any way then i apologize and feel free to delete! here is a pic (scope not included)
  18. Im sure there are some of us that still do it, but I will not. I think in the long term, the fact that the phrase even became commonplace within the firearms community did more harm than good. From now on when talking about these semi-automatic rifles to friends and acquaintances, if they mention the term assault rifle/weapon, I will correct them. We all know what assault rifles are and where assault weapon came from, so let's start setting the record straight. I think the term itself when heard among the laymen is what illicits that emotional response. Like if I told two two cars hit each other and ask you did you imagine broken glass? Then I say two cars smashed into eachother, is there broken glass? The words I chose to describe something to you caused you to imagine two different cases. I'm hoping other people will join me in attempting to paint the real picture and show people that there is no broken glass. When public opinion of these rifles change, the media will furhter lose their power to sway.
  19. True, perhaps I read into it the wrong way. I just wonder sometimes though, if there is something that can be done thats not being done to reduce the amount of criminals being added to the crap pool. I'm sure putting a stop to the revolving door that is our justice system could be one...
  20. Although I am very much on the Pro-2A side of things 100% of the time, I do not feel it is the silver bullet of the cause of crime in places like Camden. Granted I think the strict gun laws are just one of the factors that it's such a crap hole, but as for the main reason I don't think so. I just get tired of a statistic popping up and we are just so quick to say "See? Thats what gun control does!", although I'm not saying it is not a factor, to suggest that the gun control is the only reason is foolish. If you ask me our problem with crime (aside from illegals) has more to do with the culture they grow up in rather than the laws of disarming the citizen.Do I feel they are still responsible for their own actions, definitely. Again, I still feel pro-gun laws should stand regardless. In a game of pure numbers, it just seems that the bad guys get taken out of the picture (shot in self defense, put in jail/ death row) at a way slower pace than they are being created into the pool of delinquints. So what can we do?
  21. can't speak for how your town does it, but in mine they will contact your references if its been six months since your last application

So was I the only one that had a personal vendetta against the computers for invading the US? I swear I had this sense of "Now its personal" while taking out the invaders... lol. Such a good game.
  23. So let's say that someone broke into your home with a weapon (knife or gun), and at the time you were upstairs, therefore ruling out the fleeing scenario. Now assuming that everything was followed to the letter of the law and you really had zero choice but to grab your gun and shoot the intruder, after the cops come do they confiscate the gun you used or do they take it all (all the guns you own)? I've heard conflicting stories and I just wanted to see what would happen in this case.
  24. hmmm, i thought i was the only one. I would tend to carry my glock19 when im home. I thought i was wierd for wanting to do so. I've read too many stories of people getting their doors kicked in and such so although the likelihood of that happening to me is very small, it doesnt hurt to be prepared especially since i don't have any kids in the home
