It's not the gun. I'm just eyeing that svelte figure.
  2. Yes, and Sunday too. About 12 hours each time. No problem as we have a whole-house generator, but the cable must have been affected also. Had TV & Internet for about the first 6 or 7 hours of the outage, but then they went down too. Came back when the power came back. Adios, Pizza Bob<----will be wearing a day-glo green S&W T-shirt on Friday
  3. It is the 6th National Gun Violence Awareness Day. As such, the wholly Bloomberg funded group "Mothers Demand Action" are urging everyone to wear orange tomorrow. I don't think that there is a gun owner who isn't opposed to violence, but that is precisely it - the violence and the criminal are what should be targeted, not the gun. MDA doesn't seem to understand (or most likely they do) that more gun laws only oppress the law abiding. Criminals, by definition, do not obey the law. If gun laws curbed violence and crime, then NJ should be the safest state in the union. So I suggest a small counter demonstration - no we aren't going to march or loot - just wear GREEN tomorrow. Preferably something green with a firearms manufacturers' logo on it or something else relating to guns and/or the legitimate use thereof. Let's make Friday GUN AWARENESS DAY and tell MDA to direct their efforts toward something meaningful like MADD - there is a cause we can all get behind.. WEAR GREEN ON FRIDAY JUNE 5TH Adios, Pizza Bob
  4. P2P = Permit to Purchase a Handgun - just shorthand. Welcome. Adios, Pizza Bob
  5. Rosey - I know you may have told your wife that that is 8 3/8", but we both know that is only 6".

I just happen to be fortunate enough to live in a township where the PD is really on the ball and they notify me as soon as they're notified of my approval - which usually precedes the NJSP notification to me. Hang in there - nobody said this would be easy. LOL Adios, Pizza Bob

Mark has moved. He is now in Orefield, right on 309 above where the Tpke Ext crosses over. The new address is on the site, but not easy to find. Adios, Pizza Bob

I use Dave Olhasso for that kind of work.. https://www.olhasso.com/services.html Tell him I sent you - he'll only charge you double. LOL Not too far to drive. Adios, Pizza Bob
  9. Not that I doubt you, but where did this info come from? If from your local PD I would label it suspect. If from the NJSP, I'd like to see the cite for that. Thanks. Adios, Pizza Bob
  10. They shoot 3-gun at EFGA (Easton Fish and Game Assc.), but I have no idea what has been cancelled and what may still take place. I believe they also do 3-gun at Quinton Sportsmens' Assc in South Jersey, but the same caveat applies. Check their websites. Adios, Pizza Bob
  11. I'm not sure that is a requirement anymore. The idea behind FARS was to move the process completely on-line, with the exception of the actual distribution of the permits. I can't use my own experience as a yardstick because I've lived at my current address almost 20 years. The SP-066 asks for former addresses if you have lived at your current one less than ten years. That is because there is/was no central database that could be searched and a manual search had to be made in every county of residence. Not sure if that is still the case. I will say that I was at my local PD picking up some permits when an applicant came in with a completed SP-066 to turn in and the detective that was dealing with me simply told him it was no longer necessary and apologized because they hadn't changed their website yet. He never prefaced his comment with, "How long at your current address?" just dismissed him out of hand. Adios, Pizza Bob
  12. That's because NJ is a POC state and NY isn't.
  13. What does that have to do with somebody like Zuckerberg having a database of civilian firearms? He's not collecting the numbers from Facebook but from the whole Internet. No chance for abuse there - what could possibly go wrong?
  14. If the thought of Zuckerberg having a database of civilian firearm serial numbers doesn't send chills up your spine, then you're a better man than I. Just the beginning of a slippery slope. Adios, Pizza Bob
  15. I used to shoot IPSC with Austin's son Frank, who now runs a sports memorabilia store in Lahaska. Franks son's name is Colt. And here's a little story about Austin. I can’t vouch for the truthfulness of this story, but it is one of my favorites. Austin was set-up behind the line at Camp Perry one year, doing some gunsmithing. A distraught competitor ran up to his tent and explained that he was due on the line shortly and he had just noticed that his front sight was bent. Austin took the gun from him, examined it and confirmed that the sight was, indeed, bent. “Can you fix it?” inquired the owner, hopefully. Austin told him to pick-up the gun, grip it as he normally would, extend it out to a firing position and turn his head. The owner complied, at which point Austin picked-up a brass mallet from the bench and whacked the front sight, nearly knocking the gun out of the owner’s hands. The owner went ballistic, screaming, “What have you done?” to which Austin calmly replied, “Look down the sights,” which the owner did. “Is it straight?” inquired Austin. After looking at the sights the incredulous owner said, “Yes, yes they are”, to which Austin replied, “That’ll be $15.” The owner protests, “$15? That’s highway robbery. All you did was hit it with a hammer.” Austin looked at him and said, “It’s only $5 for hitting it with a hammer, but $10 for knowing how hard.” Adios, Pizza Bob
  16. You don't think so huh? What about this for a reason? https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2019/10/22/google-firearm-serial-numbers/

  18. SP 015 and SP 016 (both Rev 07/2012). You will need to know the serial numbers of the guns and the FFL's federal and state license numbers. The FFL needs to sign the 016 and the applicant the 015. The MPE can be used anytime, regardless of when your last purchase was made under OGAM, however, the 30 day clock resets with the use of the MPE. As has been pointed out - best to just go with OGAM at this time. Adios, Pizza Bob
  19. I have used them several times - for that matter I was going to use them this time (I had three guns at my FFL). I was advised against it at this point because of the backlog of regular applications. The MPE's (Multiple Purchase Exemption) are processed manually and take additional time even in the best of times. I heeded my FFL's advice and will be doing it one gun at a time within the OGAM framework. I need a little breather anyway. LOL Adios, Pizza Bob<----looking forward to June and July's guns
  20. Don't forget that they can be extended to 180 days from date of issue at your CLEO's discretion. Adios, Pizza Bob
  21. Picked up a gun on Wednesday. NICS came back in a day and a half.
  22. Talk to ANJRPC.
  23. Why so long? What municipality? Have you applied on line (FARS)? People want to know. Adios, Pizza Bob
