  1. Why didn't the daughter say "DAD NO" or anything like that. This wouldn't have happened in NJ...it shouldn't have happened ANYWHERE, this guy or daughter should pay for killing this kid. Totally unjustified.
  2. I believe there is more then 600 districts? Either way, we should have MAYBE 1 superintendent per county, and 1 principle per school. But really, this is the same crap that goes on for our fire / police / EMS / board of freeholders / board of whatever you can think of / etc. Too much admin!
  3. Trust me, if I owned a firearm at the time I would have said that. I'm sure the police would come then
  4. Doubt it will happen...as funny (or pathetic) as it sounds, illegals are gaining too much politial power for most people to stand up against. Hell, look at this amnesty BS...
  5. This happened to us unfortunatly. Had a racoon in our yard during the day (not typical, they are nocturnal) so we called the police to kill it. They said call animal control, guess what, animal control said to call the police. After going back and forth we ended up having to kill it ourselves. If we had a gun, I would have shot the poor thing instead of having to melee it to death
  6. Usually the only people voting are teachers and what not that WANT tax increases....you can bet your ass my whole family will be voting NO this year
  7. don't you watch COPS? lol Seriously though, i think "probable cause" allows LEOs to search cars without a warrant. added: don't know how legit the site is, but i just found this: http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/ ... 29742.html check all the way near the bottom of the page. And so what? If in the 1 in a million chance they actually get a warrant, they will find (I hope) a legally owned and cased firearm. Nothing they can do about it, unless you lied about it (refusing a search is not lying).
  8. Exactly. Unless they specifically ask you "do you have a firearm in the car" I wouldn't open my mouth about it. It might turn a 30 second stop into a whole ordeal making sure it's yours, sealed correctly, yadda yadda yadda. No thanks
  9. My friend just went through this training....biggest BS ever. Talk about making everything double in price overnight due to making the job easily twice as long.
  10. That brings up a good point, it was rumored one of the reasons why apple didn't go with verizon (along with the network) was how they handle their phone like your example.
  11. I've heard that rumor since the first iphone came out. As I said above, you have the highest chance of seeing an iphone once verizon has 4g in the majority of america (still a few years off)
  12. Fact of the matter is your not going to change the attitudes of adults. If / when the day comes that children grow up in NJ with firearms, then CCW will be realistic. Seeing as how we are one of the bluest states in the nation (not that ever liberal is against guns, quite the opposite really -- it's just you have the farrrrr left wingers that want to ban everything and tax everyone 100%) I don't see it happening.
  13. No reason they would change the phone now to work on the outdated verizon network when they will be going 4g within the next few years.
  14. "Does anyone know why the mandatory sentence did not apply to him?" He's rich and famous...
  15. I expected the first episode to be a little slow as they have to cover the start of the theatre before showing all the battles and what not. I look forward to the rest of the series!
  16. Police already try and take your guns away from you anyway so who cares...at least they can take some illegals with them now!
  17. Yup, freehold / manalapan included
  18. ah, thanks for the clarification...and yes, much wishful thinking there
  19. When did it move to the committee? Last I heard they were still on the desks of our politicans waiting to be moved to the commitees?
  20. My town is the same way (one detective) though he is very open and fairly easy to get in contact with. Price honestly depends on the PD, some charge you for their time and others just charge you what the state charges them. I live in one of the lucky towns where it only costs 18 dollars for "unlimited" permits where others pay 18 + 2 dollars for each additional permit. Find out first because they only accept money orders so it'd be a pain in the ass to get it only to find out it's incorrect. Some food for thought, since 1 gun a month, you might have a hard time getting more then 3 or so permits depending on your PD... yeah, nj sucks. BTW, you wouldn't happen to be dave would you?
  21. Let us know when you get the desert eagle in, I've always wanted to shoot one just to say I have
