  1. Great transaction w/ Bob. Shipped out promptly and packaged very well. Thank you sir..!
  2. Just put in an order w/ Midway last night. They definitely have my support.
  3. Lalo- Appreciate the info man..! I just bought a set of files from Amazon in anticipation of the build. Wish me luck. This will be my 2nd build but my 1st with these poly lowers. And definitely don't be intimidated.. I'm a total r3tard when it comes to crafts and handy work but built my first AR just fine. Definitely a rewarding experience vs buying a completed one..!
  4. Big ups to Nick..! Great dude to deal with. Thanks buddy!
  5. Highly recommend Paul from Arms N Ammo. He permanently modified a number of mags for me. Good work.
  6. Looks great guys. Can you give a little more detail on the fitment issues and where exactly you had to adjust? I'm looking to use one of these lowers for a build. Would be very helpful. Thanks..!
  7. Hi Ty, Any estimate on when the lowers w/ LPK will be available again?
  8. Thought I'd share some t-shirts I saw from cafe press. Disclaimer - I am not affiliated with this site or shirt maker. Just thought it was awesome. Will be picking them up for myself.. http://www.cafepress.com/mf/34905288/color-molon-labe_tshirt http://www.cafepress.com/mf/55613390/doubletap_tshirt
  9. At least a step in the right direction... http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/02/foghorn/ny-supreme-court-safe-act-injunction-unless-state-can-prove-law-constitutional/
  10. I think it's the prongs which give the FSC the "flash suppression" ability, even though its not significant enough to be classified as such. I agree that it's probably more for looks than function. Interested to hear more about this..
  11. There's another thread in the AR forum regarding "legal" muzzle devices in general but I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on the PWS FSC devices specifically. PWS advertises them as "Flash Suppressing Compensators" (FSC) but describes them as being - "All of the FSC Series muzzle devices have been classified as a non-flash suppressing device by the BATFE, thus removing any restriction from assault weapon ban states or provinces. A copy of this document is available upon request or on our website at www.primaryweapons.com." They also provide letters from the ATF stating their non-flash suppressing attributes - http://primaryweapons.com/store/pc/documents/ATF_FSC556.pdf http://primaryweapons.com/store/pc/documents/ATF_30_47_hr.pdf With all this documentation in hand, has it already been established that the FSC devices are considered "not evil" in NJ? Has anyone seen them used on an AR style platform here? Judging from these pictures, it appears to terminate to an opening that is the size of the caliber (like a muzzle brake) but has the additional "prongs" afterwards - Just curious if anyone has had experiences with these and your thoughts.. :girlwacko:
  12. Ah. Toronto. My wife is from Scarborough and we go back every few months to visit family and EAT. Chinese food there beats NYC Chinatown any day of the week..!
  13. Happy Year of the Snake! Just had dinner at Royal Seafood in Woodbridge. I think they recently got a new chef. Food is great.
  14. Very nice man. I have one of the original Western Arms SV Infinity Hybrids. As far as I'm aware, I might be one of the only people in the world who still has one in LNIB condition.. heh. Would love to own a 'real' SV race gun but price is insane.
  15. I'm still reading this Pizza Bob.. =] Just wanted to give a quick update. I called FNUSA again this morning and was again told that the muzzle device by their design a is muzzle brake and not a hider. I asked again a few different times (just to be sure my question wasn't misunderstood) and got told off... Great customer service.. To be fair, maybe they're getting tired of being asked constantly. Anyway, I'll give all an update with what happens. Appreciate everyone for their feedback and insight. If anything, I hope this generated some meaningful discussion... Or not.. Cheers.
  16. Keep in mind, other stores sell this same rifle as well as countless other owners here in NJ who already have it... Perhaps it comes down to counting the 'evil' features like you say. In that case... and in your opinion, wouldn't the FS2K *still* fall within NJ guidelines for compliance?
  17. Duh. Didn't make the connection that was you. I assumed you were the "old" guy on the left in your profile pic... heh. So like I said, I'm at a loss. FN states its a muzzle brake. Other NJ shops sell the same rifle. No other "NJ compliant" version is made except for ones shipped with 10rd mags... Hopefully FN clears it up w/ him on the phone tomorrow.
  18. Regarding the FN forum link... That particular poster called it a FH, but i can find an equal amount of posts where other posters call it a brake.
  19. Here's the language from what is defined as not permitted - A semi-automatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following: This means that if it is a semi-automatic rifle and has a detachable magazine it can have ONE of the following features and still be legal, but if it has two or more, then it would not be legal. (1) A folding or telescoping stock; (2) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; (3) A bayonet mount; (4) A flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; (5) A grenade launcher So technically, since the FS2K has no pistol grip, the hider would be the 1 allowed feature.
  20. It was indeed a muzzle brake. I had called FN customer support previously to confirm this but it's also clearly stated on their website description that it is a brake thats installed. See here - http://www.fnhusa.com/l/products/commercial/carbines/fs2000-series/fs2000-tactical/ I also explained that even if it was a hider, the FS2K technically does not have a pistol grip so a hider would have been the other permitted "evil" feature. I've seen FS2K's sold in-stores here in NJ (I think RTSP had one last year) so I know they're legal to sell and own in our crazy state.
  21. Ha.. The more I read about it the more I want one. This is why the internet is evil... Too much information for me to use to justify it, even after I've convinced myself not to. It's only a matter of time...... :girlwacko:
  22. I've always known about this rifle in my periphery but dont know why I never thought about getting one. I finally read up on it a few weeks ago and have now convinced myself that I can't live without it. Unfortunately for me, prices are through the roof.. If you own one, can you share your thoughts about it? Seems like something fun and different to shoot..
  23. Jen is awesome..! She and I agreed on a trade and without hesitation, sent out her end of the trade knowing that I wouldn't be able to send my item until later. She is a great asset to have in our community. ^_^
