  1. Hello Everyone, I was wondering if there were any smithing schools in south jersey?
  2. Urban Grunt, Are you taking the course this upcoming weekend? Do you know if they will show you how to load the firearms?
  3. I have an in-line modern black powder. They are shot very different from a round ball muzzle loader. I guess the shots wll be up close?
  4. Hello Everyone, Last year I look the Hunters Education rifle course at the Quinton Sportsmens Club and this year they are offering the rifle portion. I was wondering does anyone know what is required to qualify for the rifle portion of the class? Do you shoot black powder and/or .22 rifles? I know there is a written portion as well. Any help would be appreciated!
  5. Honestly I really liked the show it was way better than Top Shot! At least its not all about being voted off the Island I hope the other episodes are good.
  6. Thank you everyone for the info! I am going to download some of the maps tonight.
  7. I hope this does not happen but we are locked in for a year at one price so it should be alright but we will have to see!
  8. If you have a tractor supply store near you I saw a really nice winchester safe there, I think its fireproof as well. Last I was there there were two of the winchester safes and the nicer one was around $600 and had a really thick door.
  9. You might want to check out Liberty Safe in Mount Laurel NJ they were fantasic to deal with. They are very good quality safes and they have a big range of budgets. Their showroom is located at 1215 Route 73 South Mount Laurel, NJ 08054 and their phone number is(856) 222-9904. Our salesmen Chris was great! Many other people on the forums have purchased from them as well and have good experiences. Best of all there is no tax on safes in NJ and they deliver for round $100. http://www.libertysafe.com/
  10. A .17HMR is a super accurate plinker and is still pretty low is cost. If you are looking for lower cost and longer distance rifle up to about 200 yards I would go with a .223 but keep in mind it will destroy just about any plinker rated for .22LR. If you are getting into hunting look at a shotgun since its low cost and shoots many different types of ammo including slugs, buckshot and birshot.
  11. Hello Everyone, I wanted to try going some old fassioned navigation using a compass. Does anyone know the best type of map to purchase for this type of navigation? I would like to get a state map and local area maps but I am not sure if you can navigate using such large maps. Any help would be appreciated.
  12. I used to be a member of USANA about ten years ago before it was sold to Harborsite. After Harborsite bought it the prices went crazy high so I joined the Quinton Sportsmens Club and its fantastic! I just hope they get another owner to purchase USANA and make it a good gun club and do some moderization.
  13. That is my understanding as well. The only reason I know this is because my local gun store recently got in a huge amount of firearms from a person who recently lost his liscense.
  14. +1 again! This is what they should be reporting on not just the bad things involving weapons!
  15. Welcome! I live in Gloucester County as well!
  16. If the gap and play are slight I would not get the accuwedge. I bought one a while ago because of a slight play and it would not fit in the gun. I guess it has to be a large space in order for it to fit correctly.
  17. Wow! Certainly a lot of mixed reviews on both Directv and Comcast. We got the install today and I can tell you we went from 2.4mbps this morning to 52.mbps after the install. Its a world of difference. Also the hight def tv looks amazing so far I am very pleased!!!
  18. Fios is not offered on my street and dsl speeds suck here at 2.5mbps comcast says they are at 25mbps but are now boosting to 50mbps. Our current package with directv is just a sumple connection and with comcast they are giving high def and a dvr for a chesper rate than we are paying. I am just a bit hesitant about switching and need some feedback both good and bad
  19. What types of problems have you had
  20. Hello Everyone We currently have dsl and directv from verizon. Recently a door to door salesmen came by amd offered us comcast phone internet and tv with high def for around 130 a month. The internet is way faster tjan dsl so we signed up and we are getting it installed tomorrow. Does anyone else in Gloucester County have this service and if so do you like it?
  21. I was replacing the buffer and spring since I was have a lot of short stroke issues recently. I checked a number of things from recommendations online and from a smith and I felt this would be the best try to solve the problem. The buffer came today and its really nice I cannot wait to try it to see how the gun will function. I simply cannot believe how light of buffer weight s&w was using, its only at 2.6oz!
  22. Hello Everyone, I have decided to switch out my stock s&w buffer for a Bravo Company H2 buffer 4.6oz and a spikes tactical 17-7 buffer spring. I was wondering which works better the buffers with Tungsten powder or ones with physical weight like the one from Bravo Company? Also will going to a higher OZ buffer beat the heck out of my receiver or will it be alright? Thank you for your help! http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XSTSLA501S&name=Spike's+Tactical+Mil.-Spec+17-7+Buffer+Spring&groupid=576 http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/H2-Carbine-Buffer-p/buffer%20carbine%20h2.htm
