Do you have any kind of FiOS box upstairs? The music channels are not HD channels....but you do need at least the basic box.

They are owned by CZ-USA. (http://www.cz-usa.com). They are freaking awesome...and freaking expensive. If I had the dough (and the permits) I'd have a few of them

Anyone know of a range that rents CZ and/or FNP pistols?
YankeeFan replied to Downr@nge's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
If you find one that has the CZ RAMI, let me know as well.. -

This one happened just last December. Was in South Carolina visiting my brother and his kids for the holidays. Went to a friends property out in the boondocks for some deer hunting with my oldest (14yrs old) nephew. Later on that day his younger brother (13 yrs old) came by with his dad and a few of his dad's friends to do some target practice. Gave everyone the usual safety speech...eyes..ears..point down range....keep finger of trigger...etc. My younger nephew was firing his Henry .22 Magnum lever action rifle and he thought he fired the last round and was going to give it to his older brother for him to re-load it. He was passing the rifle with the barrel pointed down...but with his finger still on the trigger...as he was giving it to his brother...BANG...OOOOWWW...MY FOOT! The round went all the way through his foot and shoe and into the ground. Had to do field first aid on him and carry him to the van to rush him to the hospital. No major damage...thank goodness...now he has a story to tell the girls (hey I got shot)....and he'll remember good trigger finger discipline for the rest of his life.

Rutgers editorial on the Montana Radio Shack giveaway
YankeeFan replied to YankeeFan's topic in General Discussion
"Maybe we are just hopelessly out of touch with modern society or maybe our status as college students from New Jersey is preventing us from understanding why people in Montana seem to love guns so much." Yes on both.... -

Here's the family picture. CZ-97B on top, CZ-75 SP-01 below. I replaced the factory polymer guide rods with custom stainless steel guide rods and replaced the factory recoil springs with Wolff springs. I got the guide rod for the CZ-97 from Steve Bedair (http://www.guiderod.com), and the one for the CZ-75 from CZ-Custom Shop (http://www.czcustom.com). I also polished up the CZ-75's barrel with my Dremel and a little Flitz metal polish. CZ-97B on the left, CZ-75 SP-01 on the right.

I'm thinking a revolver in .357 or maybe something small & concealable like the S&W Bodyguard .380 or the Ruger LC9, or (what else)...the CZ 2075 RAMI

Signess? maybe.. It all depends on how long Bayonne PD will take to get my next round of permits approved. One thing I do know....I'm immune to Glockness...LOL! Will get the family pic up later this weekend....

Just picked it up today...(after waiting the damn 30-days....) CZ-97B .45 ACP. I switched out the wood grips for the black rubber ones to match the ones on my CZ-75 SP-01...can't wait to make it go boom!

why do you have so many guns?
YankeeFan replied to david8613's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I don't have many guns... I live in New Jersey. -
Ditto...did the same
-
Thanks! Now I have two more online sources
-
I've been looking for Hornady Critical SD in .45 acp, and all my usual online sources say out of stock...
-
I guess that explains why most suppliers are out of stock or almost out of stock....
-
Sweeeet...never seen one in SS before. Very nice indeed.

Another dumb OGAM question
YankeeFan replied to YankeeFan's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I just googled the OGAM law, and it states "Only one handgun shall be purchased or delivered on each permit and no more than one handgun shall be purchased within any 30-day period," so if I'm reading this correctly, that means that the first example above applies because the 3/31/2011 date falls outside the 30 day period of 3/1 to 3/30. Am I reading this right? I hate this friggin state... -
A buddy of mine and I are arguing over what the correct date math is for OGAM. Being that I moved here from a free state that does not impose these ridiculous restrictions, I'm trying to understand just what exactly OGAM means. Does the day of purchase count as day one in the 30-day clock, or is day one the first day after you purchase? Example: First gun bought on 3/1/2011. When can he buy a second one? 3/31/2011 - day one of the 30-day period is day of purchase -or- 4/1/2011 - day one of the 30-day period is the first day AFTER purchase

Bi-Weekly meetup at the Bayonne pistol Range
YankeeFan replied to Ray Ray's topic in Events & Meetups
I'll try to make it...but if there's another security company training going on, I'll leave...don't want to wait an hour, only to get 40 minutes of range time (like I did last time)... -
Hornady Critical Defense in 9mm...and soon to be in .45 (damn OGAM!)
