I think they mean day in the "biblical" sense...as in "With the Lord (or the PRNJ) a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

Having lived in FL for 7 yrs...got used to seeing Bronson's name everywhere...not just related to firearms. His agency also does things like make sure gas pumps are calibrated correctly, and grocery scales, etc. His name is on every little "certified by the state of FL" sticker... or should I say..was. The new guy, Adam Putnam, is a good guy. Know him personally, worked with him on the Marco Rubio campaign when I was down there.

Got my renewal on 1/6/11. Took exactly 30 days.

I was tempted to, but he seemd kinda pissed off, so I didn't push it. Wouldn't want my paperwork to find it's way to the bottom of a round file cabinet somewhere....

Took exactly 30 days. Applied for my NJ FPID and permits the same day I sent in my renewal paperwork for the FL CCW. So I called the detective at Bayonne PD to check on the status...he told me it would be at least another 6 to 8 weeks..."waiting on paperwork" WTF!

They didn't let me use coupon for ammo at their Greenville, SC store. I did get a pretty good deal on Winchester white box 9mm. Buy one box of 100 rounds @ $29.99, get the 2nd box for half.

OK, so here's another one for all the NJ law experts. I'm currently in SC at my brother's place and he has a pistol that he recently purchased and wants to give to me. I am still waiting for my FPID and handgun permits. What exactly needs to happen for him to legally transfer the gun to me? Do I need to wait until my permits come in? Should he just hold on to it until then? What happens when I do get the permits? Does he need to go to an FFL and transfer it to me via FFL transfer?? These dumb laws in NJ are driving me nuts!!!
