Update from the donation website as of 2/20/2013 UPDATE ON WHAT HAPPENED-THE OWNER'S SIDE OF THE STORY- Yesterday I spoke to the owner who let the cops into Keith's apartment. He described the incident in this way-The upstairs neighbor was complaining about the heating problem. He said the guy upstairs from Keith is sick with diabetes and is also has some mental problems. The upstairs neighbor, according the owner, ALWAYS complains about people, tenants in the building, and calls the cops a lot. On this evening he was complaining about the heat and thought that Keith was turning the heat off when he would leave for work. The owner explained that there was something wrong with the heating system and that someone would be there to fix it Saturday. The tenant initially said ok. The owner said that the tenant complained again about it because he could hear Keith laughing about something inside his apartment and believed that Keith was laughing about him so he called the police. When the police arrived they 1st spoke to the neighbor who made the complaint. They then went next door to the owners apartment. The owner said they were very forceful with him and talked to him like he was working for them, demanding that he open Keith's apartment and fix the problem. The owner explained that he could not fix the problem and could not get anyone there before Saturday. The police threatened the owner and said he needed to fix it now. When the owner opened Keith's apartment the officer walked in and knocked on Keith's bedroom door ( this is the loud noise Keith said he heard through his headphones) He had NO idea that there are people inside his apartment so he grabs the zipper pouch with his hand gun inside. When he sees the police at the front with the landlord and someone in his living room he puts it down, but the officer saw the motion, drew his gun on him, and asked what it was he had in his hand. With guns drawn they went into his room, found the zipper pouch, unzipped it to reveal the hand gun, and place Keith under arrest. This is what the landlord described.

SAF v NJ (MULLER et al v. MAENZA et al)

After listening to the brief it sounds like it could go either way...as Gura was speaking the judges were asking hard questions and I was becoming disheartened. But once the AG came up they really hammered on her. But it could go either way, just have to keep up the fight. -

You are correct HP's are pretty much illegal like handguns except under certain exceptions. N.J.S.A 2C:39-3f(1) limits the possession of hollow nose ammunition. However, there is a general exception that allows for the purchase of this ammunition but restricts the possession of it to specified locations. This exception provides that: (2) Nothing is sub section f (1) shall be construed to prevent a person from keeping such ammunition at his dwelling, premises or other land owned or possessed by him, or from carrying such ammunition from the place of purchase to said dwelling or land . . . [N.J.S.A 26:39-3g (2)]. Thus a person may purchase this ammunition and keep it within the confines of his property. Sub section f (1) further exempts from the prohibited possession of hollow nose ammunition "persons engaged in activities pursuant to N.J.S.A 2C:39-6f. . . ." N.J.S.A 26:39-3f. (1). Activities contained in N.J.S.A 26:39-6f. can be broken down as follows: 1.A member of a rifle or pistol club organized under rules of the National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice and which filed its charter with the State Police; 2.A person engaged in hunting or target practice with a firearm legal for hunting in this State; 3.A person going directly to a target range, and; 4.A person going directly to an authorized place for "practice, match, target, trap or skeet shooting exhibitions." -
Evidently they had an issue with their tracking system updating and sending out emails. I contacted them yesterday about the status of a gun I ordered and they informed me of the situation and apologized. 5 minutes later my FFL called and said the gun was in.

Hey guys, Looking for a Compact in 45ACP for when I venture out of state. Looking for something that is 8 or 9 +1 and preferably Polymer and Striker fired. Top of my list are the XDm 45 Compact and S&W M&P45c...but am open to others. Let me know if anybody has anything for sale or trade.

Anyone with first hand Mosquito experience?

I bought one a few weeks ago and put a few hundred rounds through it...first hundred or so I would get a 1 out of 10 would be some sort of FTF. After that it would go 1 in 25 or so. I was shooting Federal and Remington bulk packs so I would say that those results are pretty good. I bet with CCI Mini Mags it would be even better. Also I bought it as a training gun and I actually like the occasional FTF since it trains me to deal with them since I very rarely get them with my XDm. All in all its a great gun -
Not always true...my LGS wanted $429 for the SP2022 + $30 for Tax and $16 for NICS, so OTD would have been $475. I got it from PSA last week for $350 shipped +$46 for Transfer and NICS from my FFL, so $396 all said and done. $79 may not seem like much but its an extra 20% to buy from the LGS. Now if it was $79 on a $1500 sale I would get it from my LGS. I guess it depends on if you want it that day or are willing to wait a week or 2 also.
