I experienced the same with my RRA. Never seemed to affect accuracy though.

Hello and welcome from Medford Lakes. A good outdoor range about 20 minutes away is Telco. Beware they have a no guest policy. Apart from that great range and not too expensive.

RRA tac carry handle with A2 rear sight. Used but in good condition. $110 OBO.

So did you try it out? Like it? I'm in the same predicament. I like to have the aimpoint or eotech, but do I want it just to have or will it make a difference for what I use it for which is the range. That aimpoint is nice though, although I might prefer the eotech because of the 1 moa dot vs the 2 moa.

Thanks for the pointers. I would like a 300yrd and be able to bring guests, both qualify and some nice pistol bays. Apart from that I don't have that many wants. I would like it big enough to not have to wait due to crowds. Would be nice if training or matches were offered, never did either and it's something I might try.

Really have to join a range again because I'm seriously itching to go shoot again. Problem is that I cannot seem to make up my mind where to go, SJSC or CJRPC. CJRPC is a 50 minute drive for me, SJSC a 30 minute bit in all likelihood I will not be going more than once a month so it really does no matter all that much. CJRPC seems to have the better range and has indoor 24 hr pistol. I'm not really sure what the pits are SJSC still has a nice range but no indoor pistol. Steel, bottles etc are allowed at both, right? CJRPC has that killer $400 start cost on top of membership fee, that's a real tough one but from the stories seems to be less crowded. I mainly shoot my AR and pistol, although I just got a new to me bolt action that I'm dying to try. So anyway this is where I get stuck, what say you? SJSC or CJRPC? Anything I forgot to make my decision any more difficult?

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not against carrying or carrying around the house. I'm not a Brady campaign idiot that thinks guns jump out holsters and start shooting killing babies and other innocents. I was just generally interested how you guys solve that problem with accessibility for yourselves. If I lived in PA I'd do the same thing. As far as the locks you're right, never gave it much thought because of where I live.

Good point. Like I said the rash of home invasions had me thinking. Definitely have to start by locking the doors.

I'm curious because a home invasion on the news had me thinking. I live in your typical sleepy NJ town, nothing much ever happens and my front doorknob general is unlocked when we're home during the day. However if I were faced with a true home invasion I'd be SOL because I don't have anything real handy unless I'm I the br. Have a young son that gets into everything. How do you guys that say that if you were charged you'd fire get to your gun? Because you would have mere seconds. Do you carry around the house? What's he solution here?
