  1. I was stationed in Alabama so I'm aware of the beautiful southern humidity(j/k), and the dislike of yankees. Were the people not warm in general or because you were a yankee?
  2. Title says it all. I'm looking for opinions on living in Louisiana. I've been fascinated with LA, since I was a youngster for some reason. It has always appealed to me because of my small French ancestory, my enjoyment of blues music, the food. More recentley I've thinking living near the "swamp" would make for a good doomsday prepper location.(Not a big concern, but something I've been thinking about.) Going back to college is the plan, I don't have a family so I'm not really worried about crime rates or anything like that. So basically I know it's a long shot but maybe someone has lived there. Thanks
  3. *-And how the Pentagon later turned on them Really interesting story I found about the rise and fall of two teenagers from Miami, who became a key component in the war on terror. It's quite a few pages of reading, but interesting none the less. These two guys started taking small government contracts to supply troops with helmets and small stuff. Eventually turned it into a near billion dollar- 2 man company, jet setting all over Europe, and buying guns and ammo from all over Eastern Europe. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-stoner-arms-dealers-20110316
  4. I read the article and didn't watch the video. IIRC, the article writing itself made no mention of him having a learning diability. Your response makes it seem as if I am advocating for bullying disabled people or something. Without knowing he had a learning disability, my point still stands for America in general. We don't need anti-bullying month, or bullying support groups on facebook. We need parents who will teach their kids some morals; how to be a man and stand up for yourself, and how to a young lady and show respect for yourself.
  5. Yeah but if it isn't documented on the inventory list. He sounds SOL.
  6. Someone enjoyed the blueman group afterparty
  7. Just read this about solar flares hitting earth, not bad yet but adverse effects could still occur. Maybe it will lead to an EMP or something much worse? Any thought from preppers on here what the most likely doomsday scenario could be...? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17295337
  8. The serious problem I see with todays culture is no one can take a joke, when I was in hs if someone said you were fat, ugly, a ginger. You came back at 'em with a joke about them or their momma. It's called being thick skinned, but now kids want to be emo and stuff. The problem is the pussification of America.
  9. From your smart phone email your contacts to your self, and open up on your home computer now print, problem solved. Hard copy.
  10. Just as dumb as the other prepper show, "I fear a tsunami, so I built a shelter 600 miles away from where I live" What if everyone else tries to get out of dodge and it takes you three times as long to get to your bug out site. Also his generater was already stolen from his sheler ummm someone else knows, it ain't a secret no more.
  11. See that he wasn't missing, he was at jazz auditions.
  12. To unlock the front hubs from being in 4wd, yes.
  13. Pretty entertaing story about some dumbas$, who helped police solve a 4 year old cold case by tattooing it on his chest. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-tattoo-20110422,0,1399043.story
