There is no logic in road rage. This tragedy could have been avoided. If the LEO was truly scared for his family, then he should not have pulled over to cause the confrontation. Both sides are responsible for their stupidity. One person was shot and killed and the other should be behind bars.

Seems like his instructions will endanger children. It takes more time and complication to teach a child, under stress, to reposition the backpack from the rear to the front, raise it to the upper torso in order to protect vitals and then crouch to minimize his/her size behind the bag. Backpacks are meant to be secured to a persons..ummm...back. I would think that under a shooting scenario, it's easier to have a child turn around & crouch (or run) which will automatically position the bag towards the shooter.
