  1. There is no logic in road rage. This tragedy could have been avoided. If the LEO was truly scared for his family, then he should not have pulled over to cause the confrontation. Both sides are responsible for their stupidity. One person was shot and killed and the other should be behind bars.
  2. Story is out -- this tragedy could have been avoided.
  3. Start with the children first. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/06/10/Elementary-School-Urges-Students-To-Turn-In-Toy-Guns Strobridge Elementary Principal Charles Hill has a brilliant idea: he’s holding a toy gun exchange next Saturday in which students of the Hayward, CA school can turn in a toy gun to receive a book and a raffle ticket to win one of four bicycles. Really. Hill believes that children who play with toy guns may not think real guns are dangerous. “Playing with toy guns, saying ‘I’m going to shoot you,’ desensitizes them, so as they get older, it’s easier for them to use a real gun,” he claims. Hill was inspired by a school photographer, Horace Gibson, who was upset about the number of police shootings of young people in Oakland. At Strobridge Elementary Safety Day, a local policeman will demonstrate bicycle and gun safety, (does he get to use a real gun?), while the Alameda County Fire Department will speak about fire safety. Just to show that local governments can do surveillance too, there will be opportunities for the children to be fingerprinted and photographed, with that information transferred to CD’s if it is ever needed for a missing child case. Hill, defending his take-away program, asserted that police are justifiably afraid when they face armed suspects, and toy guns have been mistaken for real ones. But Yih-Chau Chang, spokesman for Responsible Citizens of California, said, ”Having a group of children playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians is a normal part of growing up.”
  4. No secrets with the wife -- she's fully aware of the inventory. Buying guns is definitely cheaper when you're single. After getting married, I noticed a mysterious phenomenon where, for every gun I purchase, a few days later, my credit card shows a charge for a new purse.

    Swapping FSBs.

    1. There's no guarantee that the holes on a used FSB will line up correctly with those on the current barrel. 2. Keep in mind if the barrel is threaded, you're going to have to get the muzzle device pinned. That would require that you destroy that muzzle device in the future in order to swap out the FSB again. 3. If the barrel is not threaded, you can swap the original FSB for a gas block with a built in front sight.
  6. Since 5/13, NICS approvals are under 2 weeks. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ap8BAjyRhnQ5dDdrRTh1dEhxZkJSQm9LTTNFRUxIdFE#gid=4
  7. The Frag is based off the No Name design which is chambered in .45 ACP. The 50 GI pistols can also be ordered with a .45 conversion barrel that is fitted to the slide.
  8. 73,441,399 Gun Purchase Background Checks Under Obama; NJ Spikes 41% in May With the exception of California, New Jersey and Utah, background checks for gun purchases decreased in every state from April to May. New Jersey - a state that awaits Governor Christie's decision on a number of new gun bills - saw its largest number of background checks in a single month since the FBI began tracking data in 1998. A total of 12,656 background checks were completed in the Garden State, up 41 percent from the previous month's 8,977 checks. http://cnsnews.com/blog/gregory-gwyn-williams-jr/73441399-gun-purchase-background-checks-under-obama-nj-spikes-41-may 41% higher rate but I was expecting the numbers to be more than 12,656 for such a bump.
  9. He was 9 years old just yesterday. Time flies.
  10. Some people see the light at the end of this tunnel, this bozo went looking for it.
  11. Automatic "yeah" post mortem proxy votes for future & pending anti-gun legislation.
  12. Seems like his instructions will endanger children. It takes more time and complication to teach a child, under stress, to reposition the backpack from the rear to the front, raise it to the upper torso in order to protect vitals and then crouch to minimize his/her size behind the bag. Backpacks are meant to be secured to a persons..ummm...back. I would think that under a shooting scenario, it's easier to have a child turn around & crouch (or run) which will automatically position the bag towards the shooter.
  13. Thread doesn't get locked until somebody blames cops for something.

  17. Try explaining to the jury why the body was dragged into the home. Tampering with evidence is not going to help the situation.
  18. Good shot. Too bad the bad guys will be out in no time to try this again.
