  1. Here is a blog although incomplete gives you some answers. As for this topic I won't post again in it. www.cjrpcblog.com
  2. THE MEMBERS ONLY STEEL MATCH HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR THIS WEEKEND AND FOR ALL CURRENTLY SCHEDULED MATCHES IN 2014. AN EXPLANATION FOR THE EVENTS THAT HAVE LEAD TO THE TERMINATION OF THE MEMBERS ONLY STEEL MATCH AT CJRPC WILL BE PUBLISHED ON A BLOG LATER THIS WEEK. A LINK WILL BE PROVIDED. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT MADE THIS A GREAT MATCH.
  3. I know the requirements. So I guess they have unsigned copies for sending out firearms, but if I send a firearm to them I can expect to receive a signed copy? The way they packed this firearm for their customer I doubt you will receive a signed copy. We'll you might now.
  4. I just took delivery of a M&P40 Shield, a transfer for one of my customers. I found the firearm stuffed in the mailbox in a USPS Flat Rate Envelope. It took 5 minutes to extract it from the mailbox since the mailman must have used a hammer to jam it into the undersized "letter box". The shipper, Roughrider Arms a.k.a., Prepper Gun Shop out of ND, flattened the S&W box out (looks like they took the contents out and stomped on it with their foot to get it flat), threw the contents of the box into the envelope, stuffed the flattened box inside the envelope then stuffed the paperwork inside. Wrapped it a few times with packing tape and I guess threw it in the USPS mail drop. You know, "If It Fits It Ships". No signature required, nothing. The contents of the box spilled out on the floor after opening he top of the envelope. Of course the label is 8.5x11 with BIG BOLD LETTERS, "Prepper Gun Shop" written all over it. It's amazing it even made it here. Oh and thank you for the unsigned copy of your FFL. So the customer's gun box is pretty much destroyed, I put it back together as well as expected. Is it any wonder why we have the government trying to regulate the shit out of the industry whey you have pure idiots like this out there.
  5. 227 EQ I love mine. Great accurate gun.
  6. Congratulations Paul, I'm green with envy. I agree with your statement Paul, but I have elected to follow the advice of Mr. Nappin to stay out of trouble. If somebody else wants to stand in court and fight on principal I applaud them. Besides even though I agree with your statement the law still states that you "shall" change your FID within 30 days of change of address. Not my interpretation, just what the law says.
  7. You are only going to get yourself in trouble asking for legal advice from people on the forum, even FFL's, not a good idea. I don't know an FFL including myself that has a law degree and is an expert in firearms law. A few things to consider. If you moved more than 30 days ago your already in violation of the NJ firearm laws. NJAC 13:54-1.11a which requires you (shall) to apply for a change of address within 30 days of an address change. Just to be on the safe side consult with the New Jersey Gun Law Guide by Evan F. Nappen who is a legal expert and you will find on page 110 question 4 ("If a New Jersey Firearms Identification card holder changes residence within New Jersey does he/she have to notify the authorities"). Answer, Yes as cited in the NJ Administrative code above. If that's not enough to convince you then look on the same page in the "Loopholes & Pitfalls" and Evan states "Make sure your New Jersey Firearms Purchaser Identification Card is updated with your new address so that it matches your driver's license. He state he has a client with legal problems because of not having a current address on the FID. Nappen also states that it's more important with NICS to have the addresses match. So any FFL taking your business with an old address on your FID card regardless of the sticker on the back of the license is asking for trouble. Bottom line, if the FID card address matches the change of address on your driver's license your good to go. Any other scenario, no good and you may very well be in violation of the statues just being over 30 days if you moved over a month ago.
  8. No problem, this is the match for you. It's all about fun and there are no beginners. Come out. PM me and I will see to it you get the royal treatment.

  11. I am a small shop which believe it or not does have inventory. As of today there are currently thousands of firearms that are available in the market. A sharp contrast to last year on this very same date. To inventory even a modest selection of what is available is far too costly even for some of the larger shops not to mention my small business. Myself, like other small shops inventory firearms that are popular and move quickly. That may be 10 - 20 models leaving the rest "hard to find". That is why given the limitations of my situation, not being able to have a store front, I opted to invest more effort in the on-line experience. That is how Plumsted Arms started on-line nearly 7 months ago. I decided to attempt to make it a fully capable e-commerce site and did exactly that. Without going into the numbers in detail the web site in the last 7 months has produced more than 10x the number of gun sales than I originally projected for the first year. But don't think this doesn't come without a cost. My equipment, programming and data center costs alone are not far off from some of the rent that smaller shops might pay. But the fact remains in the long run it is cheaper for me to run my business this way and the result is generally a better price for you. But I am licensed by NJ and the ATF just like everyone else and there is no reason why I should be excluded from firearms sales just because I don't have a store front. The key and the difficulty to making it successful is the accuracy of the inventory. My site now currently updates it's inventory every 10 minutes from four of the top wholesalers live inventories and in the next month three more wholesalers will be added. That is what makes the experience worth while. This is not as easy as some people (all those programmers in the audience) believe. We have actually entered into license agreements with our suppliers to enable us to tap directly into their inventory data systems, all of which by the way are different in many ways. One notch above the routine download of inventory files. The buyer now literally has access to thousands of firearms. Instead of "brick and mortar" I have a great deal of money invested in security, equipment, programming, contracts, legal agreements and fees to be able to maintain my site. However that also eliminates the need for a few Web programmers spending their entire day updating inventory. The down side, you have to wait two to three days for your firearm, if I don't have it in local stock. Most likely the gun you just have to have today is available at other shops and perhaps mine as well but for the most part I am finding that people are not uncomfortable waiting a couple of days for their purchase. By the time most firearm purchaser's have made a decision and have done their research another couple of days doesn't matter to them. The fact remains that aside from a hand full of some of the larger NJ shops, I keep just as much inventory as everyone else does in new firearms. We also are Glock and Sig Armorers and service many brand name firearms. We would never sell you a gun and dump you by the wayside if you have an issue, contrary to what some people might assume. Just check with many members of this forum who have purchased firearms from me. Some day I may just be in a position to have a shop. But until then I am still working hard to help people own and maintain firearms. Oh and one more thing. I myself support the LGS's. In the last week I personally spent over $400 in two gun shops buying supplies and ammo. By the time I purchase these products from my supplier and have them shipped to my business it isn't worth it for me. I also don't handle ammo because it's very difficult to manage a complete ammo inventory without a store front. And on-line I simply cannot compete with the large ammo suppliers and make a decent profit. My profit comes from my own gun sales. For everything else I choose to support my LGS even if I can get the items for a buck or two cheaper on my own. One LGS in particular has actually called me to purchase firearms they need right away for a customer that I have in stock. I have done the same thing with the same LGS and purchased firearms from them (dealer cost) for a good customer of mine. I have also done business with LGS's on this forum in the past.
  12. If you can get somebody to guest you in on Sunday our match generally ends early. It only takes us 20 minutes or so to break it down. We should be long gone by 1:00 or even a bit earlier. I won't be able to help you out Sunday. After I run the match I need to leave for the day. You can come anytime during the match if you want to see what the place is like and browse around. There is a match code at the gate which will let you in. If you do you can see one of the steel matches in action. If you do look me up. Just ask somebody for the squad the match director's are shooting in. My name is George.
  13. YES I am sorry, I didn't read your post well enough. Since Sunday is the first day this year of our Members only Steel Matches I just connected the dots in the wrong direction. You absolutely can come down and shoot as a guest of one of the members. If you don't find anyone let me know, I will be happy to guest you in. This Sunday will be tough for me with our match but we can do it another time if you wish. Sorry for the misunderstanding. You will love the place and the people. PM me if you want to set something up.
  14. I am sorry but this Sundays match is a members only match. Guests are spouse or children of the member only. We have two open matches coming up. One the last Sunday of the month which is a special steel match. Probably be some sort of man on man match, then the first Sunday in April. Those matches are open to everyone.
  15. Looks like a good start. We use Steel Challenge IPad App. The one thing I see that needs improvement is the report option. The steel challenge reports are excellent and we Email them directly from the match when we are finished. Good luck I am looking forward to seeing the app develop
  16. 210 gallon reef tank. Been doing salt water for years. Photo taken with my iPad. Not the best
  17. Sure does. Just insist they take it to a local FFL to be shipped. One you can verify by looking up their license and call them. My guess is you will never hear from the guy again. This sounds like one if those scams when they get you to send the money and you never hear from them again. If he takes it to the FFL to be shipped and you can verify it then congrats, you scored a great deal.
  18. Interesting, it must have been released since you are getting one. Two of my Sig suppliers, Lipseys and RSR don't show the new variant. Thanks for the info
  19. Interesting, the 25D is the Desert version and even on Sigs web site the specs listed do not show that model or any MK model with the SRT. I am surprised since the MK series was designed against Navy specifications and I doubt the Navy would ever allow a competition SRT. I have never seen one. I would be interested in hearing about it when you get it if that's ok with you. I have installed SRTs in MKs for customers.
  20. Just delivered one of these last Friday in black. Awesome gun. For the money also look at the 226 Extreme. Same gun without phosphor controls but has the short reset trigger and G10 grips. Www.plumstedarms.com
  21. Yes it is. Works as my charge check scale for my bulk pistol loads and works perfectly on dispensing my rifle loads. You can buy the scale as a stand alone unit then the dispenser if you need it later.
  22. The members only steel match at CJRPC for Sunday December 15th is still on. The match directors will be there tomorrow morning and make a determination in the morning. Bring your gun ready to shoot. If we can we will.
  23. S&W 627 Performance Center. Amazing revolver. Wish I had them in stock.
