  1. but but... they said the Norinco Mak90 is OK always wondered how many AK variants are floating around NJ
  2. Thats cool. Did not know that. OP theres also the glock 20 in 10mm
  3. Glock 21s come in a short frame (SF) variation too which means the grip is narrower in the front to back measurement for smaller hands. Handling a gun is one thing... id go out and rent a few IMO to see what shoots better for you. Cant go wrong with a glock but there are so many choices. In the glock price range you also have the walther ppq which is phenomenal.
  4. Thanks. Might have to try the cooler idea. Basement isnt that much better than upstairs.
  5. What temp do you keep it at? And how?
  6. Nick what temp do you regulate your tupperdor/coolidor to and how to keep them in a safe range? The central AC in my house sucks and I can't seem to get temps below 79.... This also boggles my mind because all those cigar factories in the central america must be crazy hot all the time... I'm sure those guys aren't storing in controlled environments. How do people in those places prevent beetles? By freezing? Man this is complicated
  7. my tupperdor is running hot...even with the AC running it's at around 79-80 degrees but the RH is stable at 63-64 is my only option to freeze my tiny stash to prevent beetles? should I really be worried?
  8. well if it doesn't include lane time it'd be the same price as GFH. lowest silver membership is now $299 and 15/hr for a 25yard port. but there are good perks at GFH like their $20 transfers, super clean facility, and amazing rental wall. I thought it was worth it.
  9. Yup i read that disclaimer on smallbatchcigars. Ive gotta get my desktop humidor seasoned anyway. The fuentes will live in a ziplock with a boveda with my tiny stash until everything's set up
  10. can't wait to smoke the fuente. I ordered a few from smallbatch and thanks again for the recommendation. Edit.. free shipping on everything
  11. anyone try Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Naturals? Or a Casa Magna Colorado (pikito)?
  12. what do you guys think of the Drymistat-Humidor humidifier tubes? looking to put together a small beginners humidor to hold maybe 20 sticks at a time
  13. The consensus on 1911 boards, yes. You arent getting full custom attention to detail, but the fit and finish is the best in the pric range.
  14. I'd take a hard look at the Dan Wesson PM series for a little more... I think the colt competition is around 800-900? The dan wesson PM series are around 1,100-1,200 ish but so worth it. you get hand fit components, tool steel fire control, and a superb trigger but all that might not be important to everyone. basically, you get a lot for your money vs an assembly-line production pistol.
  15. that all depends on your budget
  16. Nice. Finally a range within 15min from home.
  17. Dan Wesson V-Bob in duty treat
  18. keeping this thread alive! Les Baer TRS and with the TRP that I filed on
  19. Bhunted - I feel the same way. Had this in my cart a few times being such a great deal, but passed. No room in the safe anymore anyways. More money to go toward pimping out my tavor later on. I never shoot past 50 yard lol. How accurate does my rifle need to be at that laughable distance lol
  20. Any details on this range? Cant find anything on google. Hope they have a decent rifle range with the name Long Shot

Dan wessons are hands down the best production 1911s on the market. Almost all parts are hand fitted after machining and many top 1911 custom smiths comment on their precision fitment. Dave Severns has a good shootout & evaluation on a few 1911's where the DW Valor was highly praised for build and accuracy. On a ransom rest, the Valor was slightly more accurate than the Les Baers he tested with a variety of ammo.

I'd go with Wilson. I hear Ed Brown is a jackass with terrible support for customers.
  23. Hey man! had no idea you were a forum member. frank was telling me he was going to take it out for a spin when I left the store after you left so I thought it was him
