  1. IMO for a shotgun. Find a used Mossberg 500. There are so many accesories for it it's not even funny. You can literally take the gun and within 10 mins turn it into a hd gun to a hunting/trap gun. I picked up a used one for 125. Came with 2 barrels, and bought a 18" barrel. out the door with some ammo was a little over 2
  2. Welcome to the forum. Awesome place.
  3. I got a buddy who owns a shop in Erial. About 15 mins from you. Fair prices, good work. PM me if you want his number.
  4. FYI, PK90 has one on his website. PSA for $770.
  5. Now this is just me being curious on peoples thoughts but the way i'm reading it is... I own my house, Say I buy 80 acres of land not directly attached to my current residence. I now own 2 different properties.... What in the law says I can only carry at my house and not on my beautiful and made up 80 acres of land???
  6. If you decide to go with the ruger sr22 let us know. Love to hear what you think about it.
  7. Nothing in subsections b., c. and d. of N.J.S.2C:39-5 shall be construed to prevent a person keeping or carrying about his place of business, residence, premises or other land owned or possessed by him, any firearm, or from carrying the same, in the manner specified in subsection The part that reads premises or other land owned or possessed by him. His current property and his other current property. Both are owned by him so I don't see why he can't carry on both.
  8. I jumped the gun on this b/c I drive a pick up and I was informed before that it had to be locked and seperate from the ammo. I should have stated that from beginning. I carry my firearms locked and the ammo locked in a seperate container. That is my method and not the law. I apologize for bad information. was not my intention what so ever.
  9. Krdshrk, Thank you for the review of your Nano. I'm pretty confident the Nano will be my next gun. For those who recommended the xds 45, I'm right there with ya on the power but considering the price and the ammo cost and also i'm suppose to meet up with a forum member today to buy his 5.56 upper. The Nano is just more affordable for me at this point. Your opinions didn't fall on deaf ears. It is a pistol i'd like to purchase in the future.
  10. I thought about that after i posted it. Kinda puts a target on your back if you happen to get a over zealous police force. Lunker is right.
  11. This is just my take from reading the NJ Gun laws numerous times but if you own both properties you should be able to carry on both. As far as transporting a handgun would have to be locked and ammo seperate. I'm sure someone else will jump in and possibly agree or disagree. I believe you can transport a long gun a little more freely. I don't think it can hurt to talk to your new local PD.
  12. I can get the nano is about 470 out the door. that's about a 200 dollar price difference. Normally wouldn't be an issue but im also trying to save for the upper for my AR.
  13. That's great to hear b/c I passed up a LCP in search for something different. I was considering the XD-S 45 but the price gap between the Nano is a little high right now. I will say the XD-S is on my short list
  14. I bought the Ruger SR22 back in March and I love it. It's cheap to shoot, has interchangeable grips and magazine plates. The only thing with the pistol is it doesn't like anything really below 36 grain. Which shouldn't be a problem finding. Federal, American Eagle and I'm sure others make 500+ bulks cheap. If I remember correctly I walked out the door with mine for 400.
  15. My first bike was a Vulcan 800. It hasn't overpowerful like someother bikes but it definitely wasn't weak. Like MikeK77 said. Under 250cc is pointless on the highway, It literally can't get out of its own way. I would recommend a Vulcan to anyone starting. I think they can be had pretty cheap, fairly easy to work on if need be and hopefully this doesn't happen but if you dump it, it wont hurt you that much (mentally) as if you put down a harley. Be safe out there when you start and just always pay attention to everything, grow eyes in the back of your head if you can
  16. Maksim, Thanks for replying. Can you recall how the recoil was on it? Harsh, Not bad?
  17. Hey guys, I was looking at a Beretta Nano today. It felt pretty good in my hand and I know Beretta generally manufactures good products. I was wondering if anyone actually fired one and what their opinions are on it. What I'm looking for is a concealed carry weapon for when I travel out of state and maybe one day in NJ (wishful thinking). Also just want a small gun.
  18. Welcome fellow south jerseyian (made up word)
  19. Wouldn't you only have to grind off the lug? The Flash Hider would still be acceptable as long as you don't add another "evil" feature.
  20. Just dropping in to say hi. I've been into guns for a while now but finally got my FID in the beginning of this year. I think its a great hobby/passion. Current collection Glock 23 (A+A) Ruger LCP (trades a gun bought from (A+A) Ruger SR22 pistol (Bob's) Mossberg 500 (Ed's) Currently building AR (A+A) I've been reading through this website for months now and i've notice that alot of people give PK90 alot of +1 (Not exactly sure what it means but i'd imagine its good) so +3 for him. (if i'm allowed). Hope I can add some good thought and hopefully learn a thing or two. Thanks
